Hello, I’m a nurse in New Zealand. I a currently 7 months in and wanting to move to Australia. I wanted to know whether NETP (new graduate program) is something that NEEDS to be completed for Australian employers. Thanks
Hi there, Its very subjective when it comes to job applications. I would say, just apply for the jobs you are interested in Australia and see if they offer you any. At the same time, apply for NZ ones too to be on the safe side.
Hola Judit. Apart from a good Physiology and Pathology book. I would recommend 2 more: “ECG made easy “ and “Medications made easy” are 2 books I used to review frequently up until 16 months back when I retired. Good luck with your nursing career in Australia Judit Rincón.
Hi Jaskaran, I hear it’s easier for registered nurses than it is for enrolled nurses, but both are eligible for permanent residency as of now (as both are on Skilled Occupation List). I hope this helps :)
Hi Enam, Mostly yes! But it totally depends on where one ends up working as a nurse. I work in an emergency department and it gets pretty hectic compared to working in a GP clinic let’s say.
