- We stayed at Spitzkoppe, possibly the coolest campsite in the world! There is no feeling like running up the Spitzkoppe rocks, watching the sun set behind the silhouette of an incredible landscape and staying warm by a campfire under the stars...
Today's itinerary:
- Spitzkoppe
This month we're travelling across Namibia to discover some incredible destinations. We're starting in Windhoek, heading north to Etosha, down the skeleton coast before hitting Fish River.
We're Eliska and Jack - two twenty-somethings living in London but escaping as often and to as many places as possible. Our channel is about finding adventure if you're time or money poor.

My Namibia 🇳🇦...I didn't realise just how beautiful the place is until this video. Nice!
It's very beautiful. and this was one of the places that I liked the most
It does look like an amazing campsite! Absolutely breathtaking! I can't get over those rock formations. Reminds me of a campsite we stayed at in Namibia called Madissa camp in Damaraland. Ahhh brings back memories!
Spitzkoppe is something special, it was our first stop in April this year and had nothing to compare it to, I said guys this might be our best or worst camping spot we have no idea.
We were at the same campsite, can't remember which number but we had an amazing spot which just felt very spiritual with all the boulders around us and we found this area with a very old tree right behind it which we used as the bbq / campfire spot.
Great Video! Thanks for sharing! Namibia is a fantastic destination.
Hey guys... Back from Namibia. Had an awesome time. Loved Spitzkoppe. Thanks for your advice. BTW rusks are only eaten once dunked in tea or coffee :-). Still think it was a small bug ;-)
Hey! So glad you enjoyed your time there! Yeah, I mean we figured, but to be honest I tried to dunk it and still nearly broke a tooth :D In fairness we live in England... our bugs pale in comparison :D
Problem of camp sites there is that one you like most is not the best for morning drone flight. And choice is so huge you can not decide easily. I found site 1 is the best for sunrise video.
Ooh I love this all right. Someday I'll do some domestic touring.
Loved those moonlight shots ....Also the drone footage. Amazed to see the blackbird type birds waiting for "crumbs" (Hulking great hard rusks it seems !!!!) and a lovely Collared Dove, I have a bunch (flock) who come for tea every day !. The cave /wall paintings are just dumbfounding...how the hell have they stayed there so long ? Would love to know what the guide thought of A's frilly nightie/dress/top = a kinky way to show off walking boots ?? !!!!!!
New sub here! Awesome video and awesome shots :) love camping underneath the stars!
Thanks so much for subbing and for the lovely words! Agreed, nothing beats sleeping under the stars :)
Love your outfit, Eliska.
Great video, I loved spitzkoppe but I only got to spend one evening there, I’ll definitely be back someday! I subbed, hope to see more soon. :)
us too! i wish we couldve stayed longer :( thanks, really glad you liked them!
Great video and camp site you also need to try The farmhouse campsite in the Matopas hills Zimbabwe. Will definitely try this camp in December 2019.
Thanks so much, and thank you for the recommendation! Just looked it up and it looks dreamy. It's been added to the list!
I Love your guys RUclips Videos i live in Windhoek ❤❤❤❤
TOXIC-VENOMZ SNAKE thanks! We should've asked you for tips!
Its sooo BEAUTIFUL
This campsite reminds me of a certain part of the Valley of Fire here in the States! Great video once again! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Valley of Fire looks incredible, we definitely need to visit!
hi guys looking great, by the way, is it allowable to camp not on camp cites if they are all booked and full? thanks
Hey Victor, if I remember correctly then it depends on where you are in the country (e.g. not in national parks etc) but I encourage you to check wherever you're going specifically
Great videos!!!
is spitzkoppe accessible via car?
I know nice things were you can go
Is it that bissy with campers that you have to hurry to get a place?
you'd have to grow up in South Africa to Appreciate the "RUSK"
What do you want to know ?
TOXIC-VENOMZ SNAKE have you seen our other Namibia vids? Did we miss anything major?
