Happy New Years, everyone!! Thanks again for a great year ❤ If you'd like to stay in touch with me and my community more frequently, feel free to join our Discord: discord.gg/HnAVEQZYvK
I get to hear that a lot from players who haven't played this game for ages, and I'm surprised my videos get recommended to people who haven't been in touch with the game for years! Flyff definitely wasn't doing too good in the recent years, but the release of Flyff Universe, essentially a remake built around v7 (version from around that era) gave it new life and is still looking pretty good :) Of course it's got its own problems, but I think the game is in the best shape it's ever been!
That's what the videos are for! I noticed when I started playing in Universe how many people were actually new to the game and knew that there would be a place for all these beginner-friendly guides. Good luck on the grind ^^
Pick-up pets are purely premium, you only get them through fCoins, buying the temporary penya pick-up pets from the store or buying from players with roughly the price of 1000 fCoins. It'll be hard your first one through pure grinding :)
A lot of the people in my community were also clearly confused by this mechanic, so I'm glad to be spreading more awareness to players! Thanks for the extra pair of hands
I explain this during the video, but the energy is recovered with the Pet Candy that you can craft from the berries and some penya. Pet's Health falling to 0 doesn't kill it like in Flyff PC, but it just disabled the stat boost until you feed it again :) Just one bag is enough to feed it to full.
There is no such thing as an event pick-up pet, all of them by far have been obtained through FCoins. You can buy temporary 15/30day ones from the fcoin store with penya, but that's about it I'm afraid :(
It's SUCH a big difference, I've always sucked micro-managing my pet while leveling and dying twice would just mean the pet was gone. SUPER P2W. This system is definitely a lot more relaxed am fully in board for it! The berries would definitely be confusing to someone new to the system, but glad I could correct that confusion :) Just remember though that you can buy the berries too if you can't bother farming them, usually they're pretty cheap in comparison to how much making pet candy actually is ^^
Definitely the Masquerpet Cutter. It's a rare level 45 axe with pretty nice stats, nothing like it until 57 or in your 60s! :) If you can't find one, a regular 47 axe or Drakhan Axe for level 45 could do too.
You don't actually need an incubator of any sorts, you just summon the egg by double-clicking it and then click on the Pet Candy to start feeding it! Sorry for the confusion :)
Depends on what you want out of your character! If you want a sturdy, tanky character that's good for AoE, you should consider getting yourself a Knight ^^ If you like a character that deals a lot of damage, then Blade might be the choice for you! :) Knights and Blades can have different variations too, like Knights can also become 1v1 with right gear and Blades can become great "block tanks", but those are less typical, more advanced builds :P If you want to see a Blade in action, I have this Road to 60/90 leveling series on my channel if you wanna check that out as well - I'm leveling a Mercenary/Blade from level 1 to 90 there, and the character is currently at level 67. Feel free to check that out too if you're interested ^^
I thought I answered to this, thanks RUclips xD Pets are a low priority investment anyway so laying back from the pets for the time being is alright! I honestly recommend getting to them only when you've got your hands on a decent set of gear and your next upgrade would run you a few dozen million. And even then I'd recommend not to go too overboard with pets so you won't run your bank dry ^^
@@akremsier It's not that simple, but I do agree pets have diminishing returns when comparing their costs. But as I've said in the comments a bunch of times, it's worth getting if you have nothing else affordable to upgrade with. With F Class pets specifically, it's the initial hatching that costs 2m but after that you maintain that 3 hours stat boost for just 200k each time. You don't lose your pet once their Energy runs out and you can evolve it for better stats (although at the cost of more expensive feed). They're not useless but VERY situational
Yeah, very expensive and not something you should focus on first off. Something you should probably invest on after you've got your set and weaponry with upgrades settled and you got nothing else affordable to work on :)
And nobody is talking about how good flyff used to be in the past and free? I came back after years, you need to buy damn scrolls for everything!! You can't use elements on your weapons ore upgrade it, you cannot make free pet candy, and so goes on the list. What a shame.
Oh trust me, the pet system was EVEN worse in the past :D The pets would DIE if they weren't fed appropriately and couldn't be revived unless you had a revival scroll, which required the pet to survive until it was at least B tier. Pets also had lives which would be depleted each time you died while it was active, and you could increase its amount of lives ONLY through a premium item called "Pet Energy". Reaching 0 lives ALSO killed the pet. While it's true that it sucks that Pet Candy requires penya, it's one of the reasons why inflation hasn't gone too rampant as it's served as a money sink and funneled money from the economy. You also used to need scrolls back then for everything too, only that Low SPros didn't exist and you had to do all that upgrading until +10 without such a vanity as "fail grace" - upgrade chances were static and failing a bunch of times wouldn't increase your chances at all x) The game is actually a lot more forgiving than it used to be, you can even occasionally drop upgrading scrolls from hunting Violets! You can actually upgrade your weapons and add elements, but instead of being capped at +3, you can go as high as +6 reasonably cheap with just the use of Low SPros beyond +3. Don't know what you mean by being unable to do any upgrading at all, you can upgrade your items directly from your inventory safely to +3 as long as you have the materials, and after that you can use the upgrading menu with Low SPros to take it to +4 ~ +6 with a few attempts ^^

I'm surprised this game is still alive. The last time I played it was in 2006 or 2008. Now randomly finding it in my recommended pool was a surprise

I've never played Flyff until a month or so ago. I'm an absolute casual, and your videos help me so much. Thanks dude!

@@emenalus Thank you so much!!
Any way to get a pickup pet? Or is it just the same method as a normal pet?
Pick-up pets are purely premium, you only get them through fCoins, buying the temporary penya pick-up pets from the store or buying from players with roughly the price of 1000 fCoins. It'll be hard your first one through pure grinding :)
Great Guide! Already starting to link this to players who ask!

i noticed that when i summon a pet, its energy/health keeps decreasing. how do i recover the energy and will it die permantly if it goes 0?

great video as always! looking forward to seeing the video on dungeons.
Glad you liked it! Looking forward to making it as well ^^
Awesome video you explained everything so well now I understand what I would have to do to lvl up a pet
Knowledge in this topic is really important, so I'm glad I could help you understand it! Happy pet raising
Forgot to ask but where can we get Pick-up Pets? Non-FCoins Exclusive I mean. Like free from event farming.

@@emenalus I see. 😅 Thanks for the Info anyway!
@@destinyisles5651 No worries, good luck! :)
Interesting, thats nice, the pet won't die after exhausting its energy. Thx for info about those plant, have no idea what for are those.

What would be a good axe for a level 50 mercenary going for a blade build?

Only if it was a raised pet c: It's a pick-up pet! Hope you can find one though~
2mil for +1 DEX for 3 hours is ridiculous. i just sell the eggs to npc
