There is no such thing as an event pick-up pet, all of them by far have been obtained through FCoins. You can buy temporary 15/30day ones from the fcoin store with penya, but that's about it I'm afraid :(

I won't be as presumptious as to claim what class is the *very* best, depending on context and the player, there are many valid options. The general rule of thumb for a reliable giant hunter is that they're not too vulnerable to death, even during the enrage phase. For most glass cannon builds and classes such as blades this is a risk especially later towards the game, so despite their high damage, their lack of fortitude makes them a bad pick to go with (unless you sacrifice damage for some HP through equipment/pets). Some of the most common options people seem to go with are 1v1 Knights, BPs and RMs which are built to be at least partially tanky but still hold a respectable killing speed. These are all classes that scale well with STA and don't need that much of it to gain a respectable amount of durability, with Knights scaling the best and RMs the worst. Especially 1v1 Knights can strike a good balance between defense and offense, given their booster buffs which makes their damage fairly equivalent to wearing an actual 2-handed weapon while maintaining their defensive capabilities. On the other hand, BPs and RMs come with that occasional stun that can be a saving grace even with giants being immune to stuns most of the time. As I said, it's a matter of preference at the end of the day :) Even though I use my Ranger as an example in this video, I would highly advise against using a Ranger for giant hunting. Despite being full DEX, giants mostly ignore block rate and deal full damage, so in a real combat situation my Ranger's pretty often on the edge. If you're willing to go out of your way to dedicate a character for giant hunting, I'd recommend going for one of those three x)

The reason why the menu looks different is because it had an update soon after this video was released so the UI is outdated :) The key difference here is that the upgrading menus now REQUIRE you to use protection scrolls, essentially turning them to interfaces meant for "safe upgrading". However if you wanted to avoid using a scroll for whatever reason, you can now just double-click the upgrade material (PD8/10 in the case of piercing) and then just clicking the item you wanna pierce. Note that you will still have to have potential upgrade materials in hand with general and elemental upgrading, and it will tell which one(s) you are missing when you attempt it ^^ I'm not sure what you mean with the menus choosing your items and not being able to use them, so I'm assuming that what I stated above is gonna help with that. If you run into anymore issues and wish to elaborate better, do let me know! <3

I explain this during the video, but the energy is recovered with the Pet Candy that you can craft from the berries and some penya. Pet's Health falling to 0 doesn't kill it like in Flyff PC, but it just disabled the stat boost until you feed it again :) Just one bag is enough to feed it to full.

For now mostly in the backburner yeah, FWC's appearance kind of messed up with my rhythm for the game and I might be getting back to it again once it presumably ends on October. I'm working on another project on another game though, it's even bigger than this video was so it's taking its time x) Stay around for updates, and sorry for the long period of silence!

I think you did right with the Flaming Bow thing, it's great but it's outrageously overrated and the prices show that. A bow for 45-60 shouldn't cost nearly as much as the actual 60 bow, which is much superior to the former :p +6 gear is pretty much your hard wall when it comes to budget gearing, if you want anything stronger I suggest buying used sets from players whenever possible. Usually the prices make you get them much cheaper than actually upgrading yourself would. I do that a lot :) Grinding starts to get pretty slow after 70s, so it's good that you got something to occupy your mind with as you go. I do a lot of chatting with people as well, either in guild chat or with leveling partners if I have any to kill some time and distract myself away from paying attention to actual progression as it gets pretty unbearable to watch. Good luck on your way to 80s ^^

The DEX value has remained unchanged after 60s as buying a re-stat hasn't been worth it and the hit rate/atk speed has still proven itself useful to me. I've just added STR from here on out :)

Leveling along with the series is definitely something I know a lot of people did, glad to hear you're enjoying it as well :) Agreeably a lot of the merchants, whale or not just stack up on and seek to capitalize the market with their prices, but often times you're holding onto the said items for weeks, even months because the prices are just atrocious. It doesn't match the demand at all, they're just hoarding at this point for the sake of not losing money :P I think getting a G Bow for 40m if most other iterations were 100m is plausible enough, assuming that the 100m bows were also clean. Not sure how the prices at FWC are at all honestly, but I know for a fact that Rangers are super popular and quite expensive too. Mind you that after the fact on this video, G Axes used to go for around 50m a piece in the server and never really went down, so getting the bow for 40m could still be on the bigger spectrum fairly reasonable. Hope you feel like it was worth it though x) Enjoy the rest of the series, and good luck with your leveling! :)

It's definitely an option, but killing enemies that close to your level (especially 58-60) is going to end up with negligible exp. I'd definitely be around Elderguards or Garbagepiders by then, provided I have a matching element to go with that :D

@@emenalus You touched on in video but it came down to kill speed and mob density. 2 skill cast to kill on my archer and it was dead since I was buffed. Elderguards 2 shot me then too so it was safer to just plow through them.

@@Nocare89 Yeah, I can understand that circumstance, Acrobats aren't exactly the most durable even with added block rate. Being on the verge of getting 2-shot becomes a pretty large issue later down the line though, so interesting to see how you'll decide in the future 👀

Depends on where you're coming from. Most classes have their strengths and weaknesses and preferred playstyles :) If you wanted the inarguably best 1v1 DPS, you should be going for Mercenary > Blade. That being said, they're melee, fairly brittle and don't have much in the way of extra toolkit unlike Assist > Billposter, with their own stuns and compatibility for solo play through self-buffing. You could also consider versatility to be your most prominent value, in which case I'd recommend giving Acrobat > Ranger a go. Pretty good at everything that they do, including 1v1, AoE kiting or even facetanking with the right gear, topped with ranged playstyle. Ranger is also one of the crit-focused build characters which build up lots of crit rate early on which in itself can be something a player is looking for, only second to the Acrobat > Jester which takes up early game 1v1 by a storm. However they're not able to compete with other 1v1ers later down the line due to crit becoming more available to them as well, but a nice early game leveler :D Magician is a class that does incredible damage when first starting off but spell scaling and the absence of critical hits makes them fall behind on 1v1 pretty quickly. Advanced jobs of Magicians have to rely on AoE kiting or facetanking pretty much as soon as they're able if they want to keep up with others in terms of leveling speed. But they're strong in that regard, and with Elementors for example they get to fully utilize elements as part of their toolkit! Needless to say, there isn't really a clear answer what's the "best class", but if you asked which was the most popular, it'd definitely be the Blade. However this also reflects on their price tag, making them the most expensive class to build. If you've got anything else you want to ask about this matter, feel free to come to me anytime! ^^

Nah, it's not a time of day thing. Server popularity of course also matters and if the region is suitable to your own, I'm playing on Totemia and am Finnish myself so it's be natural to see a lot of people play during my active hours :) However, times have also changed and the game might be slowly losing its active playerbase due to dwindling interest and updates that don't appeal to everyone. There's also the event server that's currently going on, FWC, which has sucked in most of the players all around the world as long as it's active, causing the other servers to be quieter in the process. It's intended to conclude around October, but last year's FWC had some extensions so I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened this year as well ^^ If you want to see players, I would suggest going to FWC for the time being. It might also be a great opportunity for a new player to get a kickstart with bonus experience, drop rates and upgrade chances! The downside is that you'll only keep your currently worn equipment and cash shop items once it's over (and you remember to choose the server you want to merge into near the end of the event!), and it'll all be soul-linked to you upon transfer. The choice is yours, though :>

I also agree on the point that it's better to go for vendor gear if you want to go for an AoE build both for better defense ratings and lower costs, I do even mention this in my class guides for beginners :) I think the point I was making about the 45 gear here though was that that's the only redeeming factor I could think for it as it's the only set that offers decreased FP consumption while the 30 and 60 sets trump it in every other aspect. It's been nearly a year though so I don't exactly remember how I worded it. I still wouldn't go for Panggril/Stitch unless it was REALLY cheap though, and definitely go for the Shamutra/Shaentra set around 50s if possible 😄

@@slayexburrito I honestly can't say that there's a game truly alike to Flyff which is why many tend to come back to relive the experience time and time again. Judging from what I've heard though, many of the Flyff players hava also enjoyed Old School RuneScape, Path of Exile and Black Desert Online to name a few. I suggest checking them out if you haven't already, or indulging yourself to some private servers for Flyff :)

They're really rare so you shouldn't always expect them to x) Make sure to use all the easy drop boosters available mentioned on the video and be patient! :)

Level 15 set pieces are NOT all that coveted and really hard to sell. It would've become a much bigger drag long-term if I had actually invested my money into them! Level 30 was also going to happen really soon which is the real thing I wanted to save money on :) I do a lot of flipping/trading further down the road when I have more capital, but the beginning straits didn't offer much opportunity for that ^^

​@@emenalus I've been selling lvl 45 sets < 100k lmao. I fill my whole shop and sell it all in a day. Move on with life. Even if I put em all 200-300k I would still make more money faster from trash drops. I don't want my inventory full of stuff that takes a whole week to sell xD

@@Nocare89 I think you're being awfully confrontational without taking the whole context into consideration :P Note that this video is already almost a year old by now and a lot has changed by then. Also if you're playing in FWC, prices would be different because the economy has had less time to develop and wouldn't reflect to the prices that I had in Totemia. This discussion also never even mentioned level 45 sets in particular, this was about the level 15 sets which people are universally not so keen about. These would become a thing later down in the series, but at that point I focused more on bigger investments - you'll see for yourself ^^ I also didn't exactly have all the time in the world while making these videos (and edit, I also made these like once a week at best), so vending was one of the best ways for me to make money passively because I *didn't* have the time to consistently make money from trash drops. Grinding would also mean leveling up, so you would also be creeping a step closer to your next gear set or if you already reached that point, taking steps away from it. Vending is a great alternative if you don't want progress to be tied to it and earn money while you're doing other stuff. I won't blame people for using solutions that work the best for them, I only utilized ones that worked the best for *me* x)

@@Nocare89 Alright, sorry for reading into it too much! It's a valid tactic though if you grind a lot, you might end up gathering more greens than you actually sell and it all stacks up. Best get rid of the ones that aren't popular or pricy in the market :)

It's alive alright, but there's an event server going on called Flyff World Championship right now with boosted rates. The other servers are looking a little empty presently, and not everyone was all too excited to see FWC have a second run (there was one last year). Alive, but maybe not in the best health x)

@@sheffrinsantos2080 Automation isn't allowed in Flyff Universe, so botting is a no-go :) Fighting with some classes happen automatically through just default attacks, just click and fight with no abilities involved, but some are more action-heavy, typically AoE classes. There is no counter against certain enemy but there are five different elements which most enemies have and you can imbue your own weapon with an element that's strong against theirs at the cost of being weak against other. I recommend checking my element guide for more detail about that ;)

The new event server that released in May kind of killed the main servers and I don't have the time to start over in the event servers either. There's no way to check that because the prices in servers are purely player-based and there's no such thing as "constant market" because no feature like Auction House. Best thing you can do is ask for price checks in the official Discord or from players in the server and hope for the best, other than that it's all about market research x)

I think I did state somewhere along the example that you should also take your travel time between mobs into account so best efficiency isn't always the best route, but if I did not declare that then I did make a horrible mistake. My bad :( There's definitely also only one true answer to what combination of stats deals the most damage, there's no taking that away. Not sure if I made a contradiction anywhere on the video about that (it's been a while), but I think the same as well ^^

@@FreezingFx Ohh yeah, the many ways to stat your characters was definitely meant more in the direction that you can suit a character for any playstyle which makes the game quite intriguing. However when committing to a certain playstyle, maths is definitely gonna go a long way in determining what stats are gonna matter the most - but this isn't something that should be discussed in a beginner-oriented guide :) I do also think I mentioned the importance of speed stat due to the amount of travelling done in-between kills, which becomes increasingly important of you kill fast! Yeah, I agree with that sadly. I have repeated many times over that 2007-2009 or so were the golden ages for the game, after that it's been slowly deteriorating to the husk that it is now :/ Flyff PC barely has anyone left. Flyff Universe was a nice pillar of hope at its launch in 2022, but as of late I've grown concerned about how little GALA cares to keep the game alive but rather milk it as much as they can and toss it away. A shame really, a true passion project which loves the game and not the money would be important for a game like this but such a breakthrough is impossible with such an unfitting publisher x.x

@@emenalus I don't know what you are talking about, most of playerbase are competing and taking benefits in FWC server for 2x exp and loot for the entirety of summer. Currently during that event there isn't that much of activity in Totemia or other servers. (When that event ends, players with their new toons will come to their respective servers for better ping, with good loots in them to sell and share.) Also, money is irrelevant, if you don't have the will to keep leveling up. I've seen sassy little dolphins flash their nice +10 weapons, but sat on their 120s for months. Months I say! They were quite envious that I got very far from them since I chose to play this game every day and do few % goals every day.

@peagames2002 FWC and Flyff Universe aren't the main points behind this comment, so I think you might've missed the context! That's understandable though if you haven't been following Flyff during its later years, but after the golden years of Flyff (2007-2010 or so), it was given to another publisher and the things for the original game started to take a turn for the worse. The original game still exists, but is definitely far from healthy in terms of activity because it essentially turned into an arena spender heaven. That however, is a matter entirely detached from Flyff Universe x) Talking about FWC and Flyff Universe though, I'm still in the favor of grinding over spending money in this game and I always have been, but FWC is simply designed to be a big cash cow. I don't know where you got the idea that all those items people get will be up for selling and sharing, everything except your gear and premiums will be removed upon transfer and linked to your account, including your penya! What's actually going to happen is that the majority of the transferred players suddenly don't have any money to spend and there'll be a huge market crash for fCoins since people are willing to pay for any amount out of desperation - this happened last year too :/ I'm all in the favor of easier time for F2P players with getting better gear and catching up with the spenders, but the deeper controversy behind all this is the FWC Golden gear. There's nothing else in this game that spells out "P2W" as strongly as having a time-gated period to get yourself a set of max level gear with a ludicrously low drop rate that actually has better stats than regular, to incentivize giving you the edge over the others in end-game activities both PvE and PvP, even if only by a little. And that bit alone is to encourage people who've already burnt time and money into this game to get far only to do it again, because there's massive FOMO involved. And even if you managed to reach to level 160, getting a hand on these items without actually spending is a task next to impossible when even the clean items go for hundreds of dollars as we speak. You gotta either be a REALLY clever market trickster, burn every single minute of your life into this game to make up for the money you're not willing to spend or perhaps both, because I don't think there's going to be enough of these items in circulation for everyone even in the five months' time. Like I previously stated, the drop chances are really that bad. Not everyone of course aims to get up there to get the best gear possible and that's fine too, I didn't join simply because I don't have time to make anything out of it. But I can't come to respect a company that will repeatedly take advantage of its players who've already put so much into the game with a carrot unobtainable any other way. Even the double rates would've been enough, but not for GALA. They didn't want to leave people with a "choice". I was against FWC already last year because I smelled the rot as soon as it was announced, and admittedly it hit me pretty hard when they decided to do it again despite how many protested against it x.x It's one thing to keep playing a game despite its faults because you still enjoy it, but it's a very different dimension when you're making content out of it for thousands of people and serving as free advertisement material. And I don't think my dignity can tolerate staying loyal to such an exploitative company and keep encouraging people to play this game.

@@emenalus I don't think you're much of 'free advertisement' if you have such short term negative approach of the game. It's not an easy game, if you wish to run to endgame in few months. Would've expected you to learn that from 'golden age' flyff which IMO was worst age Flyff had. Flyff was way worse before Universe, having a lot of penya was out of question unless you dug deep in raids. Even high level mobs didn't give gear worth of penya to sell. It was incredibly inflated in economy even at beginning years and it got worse as years passed. Let's not even dwell with awful gears that only a very few were beneficial to respective classes. I would take abysmal drop rate for coral weapons over garbage PC Flyff. No matter what, it was garbage from the very beginning until browser version was made. I don't know if you ran to 90s in PC Flyff as well. PC Flyff even in old times, was garbage for multi clienting and made grind sessions a nightmare.

@@peagames2002 Don't worry, I never stated that Flyff PC was better than Universe, only that it got even worse over time. I'm still of the mind that Flyff Universe is the best the game's been to date, but it could've been so much better with a less greedier management. Besides that isn't a topic I've discussed so openly in my videos, so unless I make a video explicitly about it, most people will find the overall feedback for the game from me positive x) I also wouldn't call it short-term negative, I've observed GALA during Webzen years a long time, way before Project M/Flyff Universe was even brought up and it was quite apparent to me that maintaining server health wasn't their main priority. I cast my doubts as soon as Gala became a part of this project, but I've kept the lid tight because I had a lot of hope for this game. But after these couple years, I've kinda started running out of it - I haven't started considering other game content on my channel for no reason :/

Of course I remember you Mattie! We've shared lots of fun memories together even though it's been a while. Glad to see that you're up and about and still care to come and see me from time to time despite how busy you are. Glad you're enjoying my content for what it is <3 Content creation has been keeping me busy and honestly doesn't leave me much room for something as time-intensive as FWC, so I don't think I can't say for sure whether I'm able to join for the ride in any shape or form. I've also been looking to expanding my content beyond just Flyff and becoming a creator for all things RPG games in general, so it could very well be that my content doesn't focus that much on the game when FWC 2025 potentially rolls out. Looking forward to exchanging a few words and time with you at some point though, regardless of what game it is. I'm sure we'll make it a lot of fun ^^

Very sad to hear that Flyffipedia doesn't seem to work for you :( There's also alternatively the Madrigal Inside's database, but as far as I understand it's quite outdated. If you also have any kind of a prompt or an obvious obstacle that comes your way, maybe you could ask about Flyffipedia troubleshooting in the official Flyff Universe Discord :) You can find mercenary items from the Shield shop if you ever feel like you're not dropping any, but mind you that you might also wanna consider buying sets or set pieces from players too once you have enough money. They'll come with bonus stats on top of just defense.
