Hey guys, I forgot to put the weight info in the video. The stock seat and seatbelt weighed about 60 lb (27.2 kg). The racing seat setup (with mounting brackets, 5-point harness, and harness bar) weighs 44 lb (20 kg). So that's about 16 pounds less. 😎
Bet that rust was caused by the infamous vapor barrier leaks in the doors? Not sure i want to know what mine look like... I need to find time to take the door panels off and repair the things, but as of now I leave it parked under the carport as much as possible and use pieces of cut towel to try to intercept the little bit of water that does make it through.. that being said I did have some significant leakage before I was "in the know" and not sure how often/much it leaked for the previous owner and it's first 17k mi!
Yeah, the car had vapor barrier leaks when I bought it. The rusty floor is right below the spot where it was leaking. I fixed the leak, but the damage was done.
@@michaelblacktree ...after 2+ years, I still have a piece of wood holding the driver's window up... and a window regulator I haven't installed... having a second kiddo really stopped the projects!
