Indeed, in fact the time he spent as minister of foreign relations and president of the national bank of Cuba (before he went to Congo to help with their revolution) he wanted to receive the same salary that the average Cuban had at the time. che guevara saw horrors during his trip all over latin america when he was younger and saw the inequalities and true poverty and how the rich got richer over the suffering and exploitation of the poor classes. this horrors that he saw pushed his beliefs and made him realize that perhaps capitalism is not the solution. not saying im a communist but in his eyes anything would be better than what the status quo was and perhaps communism was the only solution for some type of equality
