(usually when there is snow on ground and when the rain is cold which probably make it like 20-50 degrees out depending on the coldness of the rain)
but ya props to this man he does a really good job at making places not flood themselves

Never mind the kind words, some municipal official should put this guy in a position where he's paid for his work. The taxpayers would get their money's worth for a change. Your video reminds me of my first teaching job at an old school in Toronto in the early seventies. Since it was a city school we had no grass in the playground just large area of asphalt. After a large snowfall we had a quick thaw and the whole yard was flooded with about 6 inches of water. There was a drain in the middle of the yard but it was clogged by ice just below the grate. I asked one of my students to go to my room and get a long wooden pole that we used to raise the windows. I used the pole to poke a hole through the ice jam and in about ten minutes the whole yard looked like a river delta

Nice job once again my friend. Yeah you have a couple things working in your favor. Once you expose those drains and get the water running to them, you'll have the ground heat, that will come up out of the drains to keep the snow/ice melting and you also have the road heat, both from the friction of the vehicle tires and the warmth of any sun during the day. This will heat up the water which will quickly melt the ice and snow. You are good man and it's great that you find fun in doing this as you are certainly doing these neighborhoods a great service.

You will find me out every spring, chipping ice to make some channels down and around my block, so my driveway will drain. One of my favorite things to do.

There was a time when municipalities used to collect the leaves around the town, making sure the pedestrian paths and roads were clear. Therefore keeping the drains clear. Yep. There was a time. Post 10 appreciation.

You look like you're having so much fun out there. Typical though - nobody comes and gives you a hand ! Well done, hope you got back to a warm place later :-)

From these videos, I can tell, that without Post 10's work, about half of this town would be under water.

I have never heard anyone say that working hard was fun. You need to start your own business. You'd be a millionaire in no time!

Working hard is a lot of fun, when you're doing work you love doing and would do for play anyways. It's just getting paid to play then.
