They upgraded the RK61 so it’s hotswappable now. I bought it, the only problem is that they painted over the screws so you can’t take off the plate, but you can still put foam.
Do you reckon we could dig under the paint coating in order to access the plate's screws xD ? (that if it's only paint like you said)
@@Trabel-GT I’ve tried but I don’t think I have the proper tools to do so, so I honestly don’t know. It’s a great keyboard tho so it might be worth a try

I like how he also brings up that they retail at the same price but these keyboards pictured aren’t both the same as they were retail. The rk is, but the gk is customized and has lubed and better switches. Also you used an inferior version of the rk which doesn’t include the hotswappable switches they now have. All in all if you have the rk everything you gave the gk it would be better.
the gk61 feels better because you lubed gateron milky yellows it’s not even remotely fair for the rk which i say is the better choice if you get reds

the GK61 is better either way(I own neither but doing an analysis over a few years can make me to believe that it is) but I plan to get an RK68 Plus

This video is not good to see for people new to mechanical keyboards. First of all you changed the switches to milky yellows while the rk61 has blues? And secondly you lubed the switches and stabilizers making it sound way better. Also the rk61 is now customizable and when people get the gk61 expecting what they saw here they will be disappointed.
Milky yellows are available on the gk when being purchased
I got an RK68 Plus with reds, and if feels really great, have no need to upgrade switches, could use some lube and PBT keycaps. Great keyboard overall.

@@Monkey. It depends on what you prefer. They both feel and sound different. For me, I prefer linears because there is no bump when I press down and it sounds nicer in my opinion.

the gk61 is optical, while the rk61 is mechanical. opticals are triggered by a light sensor, while mechanicals are triggered by physical mechanisms. opticals are generally faster

Rose red or Macha or ocean blue they are really nice and really cheap on amazon for only 13.99 for a pack of 45 swicths
they both sound like beginner keyboards, if you want a mechanical keyboard, it can be your beginner, also the gk61 is hot swappable, so you can customize it, so i recommend the gk61.

Also he already said that the Gk61 is hot swappable, but it has nothing to do with customization, you can put different keycaps on any other mechanical keyboard, the only thing you can swap are the switches themselves.
Which also is why the typing test made no sense.

Gk 61 can’t hot swap and it’s 3 pin and after a while it’s sounds so annoying and the stabilizers are horrible 😂😂
