My daughter lived in a handicapped apartment her freshman year of college. She helped roommates with wheelchairs, dressing and meals. In the winter she shoveled snow off of the side walks so the wheelchair kids could get to class. They were her friends. That is when I knew that I raised her right and she had a heart of gold. Not everyone her age would have been happy living where she did. She thrived! So proud of her. A great story today. ❤😊

My best friend since age 10 lives in a suburb of Lexington, KY. We do the same thing you do - a lot of thrift stores and garage sales in Summer. Ha ha......my daughter fell in a parking lot when we were out shopping. It almost looked like slow motion because she was trying to break her fall. It warmed my heart to find your video today. My grandmother passed at the age of 82 and my mother at 65. Oh, how I miss them. Listening to your stories and seeing your jewelry reminded me of my nana. She would get up every morning and do her makeup, put on her jewelry and get dressed so pretty even if she wasn't going out of the house. She took so much pride in her appearance. I am 49 and I do the exact same thing. I enjoyed visiting with you! You have a new subscriber.

My Dr. Says she wished all her patience were as healthy as I am. ( I have arthritis, but I look past that) Love your stories. Hope you had a wonderful trip.
I just discovered your site and you made my day.! I will be 80 in October and when you were talking about your Mother, I started crying. It made me think of my mother who died in 2003. She was 87 and I miss her so much. My Daddy died when he was 47 and it was so heartbreaking but my Mama had never worked outside the house but she took care of us three kids. She was a strong woman. I am a 60-year old housewife. I have been married, to the same man, 36-years on July 3rd, 2023. We were not blessed with any children, but we have our furbabies. Maximus is our 10-year old Chiweenie. Part Chihuahua, and part weenie dog. He is a sweetie, and we spoil him to pieces. We live on a cattle farm. My husband raises Angus cattle. The farm we live on has been in my husband's family for over 150 years! We live in Middle Tennessee, about 55 miles southeast of Nashville. My husband is gone a lot during the day and I am alone with just me and Master Maximus. You see I am disabled from Fibromyalgia, Sciatica, Degenerative Joint Disease, and Psoratic Arthritis. I can not do like I use too, which makes me very frustrated, and aggravated. I love to cook. I am an only child. Both of my parents died very young. Daddy was just barely 49 in 1978, and I was 15. Mama died in 1998 at the age of 57, and I was just 36. We were such a happy family. I miss my parents so terribly bad...every day. Anyway, I just love you, and you give me a lot of pleasure to watch. Another great story. I’m so glad you got the honor of having your mother with you until she was 101. I lost mine when I was in my forties and she was in her sixties, way too soon. She and I both loved old dishes and I also loved porcelain dolls. About a year ago our home burned and I lost my collection of dolls, some over fifty yrs old and would have been valuable. Worse than that was some of my mom’s things and things that she had given me. I was the only daughter so had gotten a lot of her dishes and cookie jars. I just recently found you and can’t get enough. Thank you for sharing your life stories.

Sometimes by death sometimes by unhealthy relationships that cause us to have to walk away from those relationships because they are detrimental our well being. I lost my mom 3 years ago 4 th of July. She was very miserable in life I know she is in a better place. You an I make potato salad almost the same way the exception is I use way more pickles than you and I use many types of spices . You taught me a new trick when it comes to the boiled egg shells. What fun and memories we had. All three have moved away now but i vacation at my daughter's now and still trying accept invitation to TX her friend's mom's. We are still the best of friends. Enjoyed hearing about your mother daughter trips. My daughter when really young wrote me a poem. Part of it said, we'll always be tight-mother and daughter always right? My Dr. Says she wished all her patience were as healthy as I am. ( I have arthritis, but I look past that) Love your stories. Hope you had a wonderful trip.
I just discovered your site and you made my day.! I will be 80 in October and when you were talking about your Mother, I started crying. It made me think of my mother who died in 2003. She was 87 and I miss her so much. My Daddy died when he was 47 and it was so heartbreaking but my Mama had never worked outside the house but she took care of us three kids. She was a strong woman. Thank you for you’re great stories.

I am a 60-year old housewife. I have been married, to the same man, 36-years on July 3rd, 2023. We were not blessed with any children, but we have our furbabies. Maximus is our 10-year old Chiweenie. Part Chihuahua, and part weenie dog. He is a sweetie, and we spoil him to pieces. We live on a cattle farm. My husband raises Angus cattle. The farm we live on has been in my husband's family for over 150 years! We live in Middle Tennessee, about 55 miles southeast of Nashville. My husband is gone a lot during the day and I am alone with just me and Master Maximus. You see I am disabled from Fibromyalgia, Sciatica, Degenerative Joint Disease, and Psoratic Arthritis. I can not do like I use too, which makes me very frustrated, and aggravated. I love to cook. I am an only child. Both of my parents died very young. Daddy was just barely 49 in 1978, and I was 15. Mama died in 1998 at the age of 57, and I was just 36. We were such a happy family. I miss my parents so terribly bad...every day. Anyway, I just love you, and you give me a lot of pleasure to watch. Happy Late Birthday Pat! Loved this video. I was born and raised in Franklin, TN. It was a neat place to grow up. Lots of history and beautiful old homes. My granny passed over a year ago at 97. She remembered when the first stop light went up in Franklin. I remember when it was a lot wilder than it is now 😀

Another great story. I’m so glad you got the honor of having your mother with you until she was 101. I lost mine when I was in my forties and she was in her sixties, way too soon. She and I both loved old dishes and I also loved porcelain dolls. About a year ago our home burned and I lost my collection of dolls, some over fifty yrs old and would have been valuable. Worse than that was some of my mom’s things and things that she had given me. I was the only daughter so had gotten a lot of her dishes and cookie jars. I just recently found you and can’t get enough. Thank you for sharing your life stories.
I know about fires and living alone. I had two fires in one year.

I could come sit with you all day and talk. I love your Fostoria and Fiesta Ware collection. My grandmother had both of those sets of glassware and dishes. Sometimes by death sometimes by unhealthy relationships that cause us to have to walk away from those relationships because they are detrimental our well being. I lost my mom 3 years ago 4 th of July. She was very miserable in life I know she is in a better place. You an I make potato salad almost the same way the exception is I use way more pickles than you and I use many types of spices . You taught me a new trick when it comes to the boiled egg shells. I also have a wonderful daughter. Im 66 now but about ten years ago we started doing mother daughter trips with her best friend and her mom, my friend to the beach at st. Joseph Michigan. What fun and memories we had. All three have moved away now but i vacation at my daughter's now and still trying accept invitation to TX her friend's mom's. We are still the best of friends. Enjoyed hearing about your mother daughter trips. My daughter when really young wrote me a poem. Part of it said, we'll always be tight-mother and daughter always right?
