- Another video from our Northumberland Adventures. In this video we visit Holy Island, we had checked out safe crossing times before as it changes daily. We walked to Lindisfarne Castle, Lindisfarne Priory, had a walk round St Marys the Virgin church, tried the famous Lindisfarne Mead, visited Pilgram Coffee and enjoyed a walk around the island.

Holy Island, known for its history, so stunning castle, and awe-inspiring views, requires constant tide monitoring, while the ice cream is also quite delicious, have a lovely weekend 👍 😍 🥰 💕

The statue at 513 was so beautiful. It still amazes me to see these historic places, being from the USA our history is still in the baby stage. Well done

Holy Island is a fab place to visit, we couldn't believe how busy it was. Morgs was worried about tide times but I'd checked everything before we went.

Love Holy Island but not been before Covid so need to put that right this year and love the fact you have to park up your car before you go into the village itself, such a magical place. We stopped overnight for 2 nights for my 60th birthday and it was weird on a night when everyone had gone home and all the locals were indoors but brilliant for filming in the morning when you knew the tourists could not get over for another couple of hours. It did look really busy there but what a fantastic days weather you got. There are 3 deserted beaches on the other side of the island where you can walk for miles and have it all to yourselves, cheers Alan

We loved Holy Island, it was such a magical place. I bet it was amazing to stay over night.

Hi both this was great to watch and I loved the look of Holy Island, we have one here in North Wales too 😃🏴 It looks like a great area that we've heard of but never been to. The location of Lindisfarne castle is gorgeous, beautiful coast and lovely priory. A lot of interesting history there especially like you said, of Christianity. Enjoyed that guys and I looovvve your dog 🐕 ~ Anna 👍

This is somewhere we have never been but always wanted to visit so was nice of you to take us around. The castle is stunning & the views are amazing. The ice cream looked tasty. Was good that they gifted some to Boo ❤

We would definitely recommend visiting if you ever get chance.
You can go into the castle (it's free entry for NT members) but obviously we couldn't go in as we had Boo.

Hi guys. This place is fantastic.We like Lindisfarne Castle on the peninsula (is it a peninsula?) but we can see it's a really popular place to visit as there were a lot of people. But the second castle is not far behind the first either. A beautiful place to visit. Have a great end of the week and new friends 392 here. Sretana and Zac. 🖐😄🤗

You had another great day. It is always exciting to head over the causeway to the island. It can be very busy in the village but as you saw it is easy to leave those throngs behind. Not a fan of the mead which I find too sweet but that dryer variety might be worth trying. Hope you continue to make great memories and you fill many stone jars.

We were only in Northumberland for 3 nights so didn't get chance to go to the Farne Islands but it means we need to visit again.
