When the Chicago Bears blocked a field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Marcus Cooper Sr. scooped up the ball and fumbled it at the 1 yard line.🤦🏽♂️
It would just be a draft montage you could throw in this offseason, but let's be real the NFL gave em those players in hope they wouldn't suck and be a meme forever. Who knows maybe one day the stars will align the twins, Browns, coyotes and Nets will all become great and start a new age and dynasty. Till it happens they'll be farm teams and memes.
Steelers and bears week 3 2017 when The blocked field goal was being returned for a touch down but Vance McDonald hit the ball out when the returner slowed down
I don’t think there’s any GREAT players who aren’t at least a little clutch, or else they wouldn’t be GREAT. Maybe good or star players who aren’t clutch, makes a little more sense.
Sadly he was on my Madden mobile 18 team... until I saw that play and I went hardcore and got TotW Julio Jones... he's now cannibalized into him and Julio is a 92 almost 93 I know nobody cares but I was bored so I typed something sorry for waisting your time🙃
I knew Patrick Stefan would be #1. Nothing beats that in hockey. My own contributions: In the NFL, there was the 1978 Miracle in the Meadowlands. The NY Giants only needed to take the snap and run out the clock to preserve a 5-point lead in the closing seconds, but instead NYG quarterback Joe Pisarcik for some reason ran a play and tried to hand over the ball to the fullback, but it was fumbled, leading to the game-winning score by Herman Edwards of the Philadelphia Eagles. In the NBA, Larry Bird's most famous play was in the closing seconds of Game 5 of the 1987 Eastern Conference final between the Celtics and Pistons. The Pistons were up by 1 and had the ball with 5 seconds left, and only needed to inbound the ball and get fouled to preserve the win. But Bird stole the ball and assisted Dennis Johnson on the winning basket. Everybody remembers the awesome steal, but Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer of the Pistons really botched it on that last play. Thomas rushed to pass the ball to Laimbeer who wasn't going for it. Or they could have at least called a time out to advance the ball to midcourt instead of near the Celtics' basket. Isiah Thomas really caught a lot of grief for that. On the very easy soccer misses, there were even worse than Frank Mill's fail: Fernando Torres for Chelsea once vs Manchester United (2010 or 2011), and this Nigerian in the 2010 World Cup in a game versus South Korea. At least Frank Mill hit the goal post. The shots by Torres and the Nigerian were RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GOAL and still managed to miss even the goal post. This is not a well-remembered baseball play but it was crucial: in Game 6 of the 1985 World Series, the Cardinals had a 1-0 lead going to bottom of 9th versus the KC Royals. People remember the umpire Don Denkinger's error on a ground ball hit, which led to a Royals baserunner (Jorge Orta) reaching 1st and eventually the 2-run rally which won game and extended series for Royals. But actually, the Cardinals missed a key chance right after the umpire's error when the next batter (Steve Balboni) popped the ball up, and Cards 1st baseman Jack Clark missed catching a very easy ball which should have been caught for an out. He didn't, and Balboni was saved and got a single to continue the Royals rally. Just some things I remembered.
Oh, Stefan. He had to feel glad the Stars won that game in OT. I watched that game on TV. I remember the Dallas TV announcer Ralph Strangis with the best way to sum it up. "In a building where we've seen the improbable happen, we've just seen the IMPOSSIBLE."
4:34 remember when the line man from Dallas cowboys got the fumble and was about the touchdown and he held the ball out and the other team nocked the ball out of his hands for the touchback?
the Oregon Ducks and, I think, Utah, where the other team drops the ball outside the end-zone, and the Ducks return it for their own end-zone. But those Ducks were amazing that year.
Patriots vs. Seahawks. 1 yard from the goal line to win the Super Bowl. Best running back in the league at the time. Pass intercepted. Patriots win. Run the damn ball Pete!!
