- We’ve warned you about the IRS scam call. This month several of you have told us, bogus agents are still calling trying to trick people into thinking they owe taxes. One of them even reached a tax professional.
I settled my IRS bill last week. All I had to do was send my wife's jewelry to Mumbashai, India.
Mason salinas LOL!
The originally wanted me to send them 5 grand to avoid going to court but I was able to talk them down to 3 grand, I got a good deal.
Jenkins1155 Dear Mr. Jenkins,
This is Agent David S. Biddle from the United States Internal Revenues Service. My badge number is NY48221. I am contacting you regarding your outstanding tax bill of $5,000 (c.f. Docket # 12B-178339284). We have no record of your lowered tax bill.
You actually do owe us five grand. That's FIVE BIG ONES. Maybe you heard Agent Deepak Chopra's accent and assumed that a man from India couldn't work for the actual IRS.
As of October 25th, we still have not received your payment. So you mess with us? Now we mess with YOU!!! I'm gonna drop the OBAMA on you! Dog the BOUNTY HUNTER is coming for you!
But hey, between us, I like you. So I'll tell you what. You send me a Playstation 4 and I'll consider your back taxes paid. Deal?
Let me know - thanks, brah!
Dave Biddle
Head President
Internal Revenues Service
Dave Biddle
I am sorry sir. I just purchased a brand new PS4 and will send it to you immediately. Thanks for letting me off so easy!
Jenkins1155 Your country thanks you.
Not only will the IRS not call you on the phone, they will probably take at least 6 to 9 months to get back to you by mail.
James Harris damn, they are lazy
69 MONTHS??!
James Harris, unless you're white and owe them money.
not if you owe them money. then they send you five threatening letters a day.
I've tried to cheat the IRS twice. Both times, IRS waited 3 years to say I was 'caught'. Then I had to pay the tax I owed plus 3 years of interest and penalties. (I don't know what I was thinking) DUH!!!
i knew my call was a scam when i called them back and they answered on the first ring. we know it takes hours or days to get through to the government.
Thanks for posting this !! I had an "IRS Agent" tell me to to go Walmart and send the money. So, I told him there was an IRS office on the way to the Walmart..... and asked if it would be ok for me drop off a check there. He flipped out !!! Priceless.
Hehe...you should have played along with them...saying, "I think I should go to McDonald's for lunch and call you back later".
I did this once. Called them back and I was like my credit card number is "5875.." and she was like "ma'am that's not a real card number" and I said "and you aren't a real debt collector" lol
😆🤣 omg i love that lol
Oh yeah! Thanks for that one. I'll use it for the next time "Canada Border Service" calls me to inform me of an arrest warrant by the FBI for a detained package with illegal contraband inside. News flash, the RCMP should be involved too if this issue is in Canada.
I recognize that voice, that was George from Bangladesh.
He called me about my Windows having a virus.
He must be multitasking
weco Maybe you just needed to clean them?
don't you mean wirus?
Yeah, he called me about my Windows license expiring.
He didn't seem to realize I had a Mac. I told him I'd be fine with my Windows license expiring.
Fred
As soon as you said you recognized that voice I started to die of laughter
I got a call like that and I started the laugh at the guy because I'm a Canadian. I don't deal with the IRS.
calamite0
This is how i imagine it went
"You have 10 billion dollars owed to the irs!!!! Pay now or go to jail!
"Dude im canadian..."
"So?"
"We dont have an irs..."
"...." *hangs up*
calamite0 They must have figured that out now. I'm Canadian too, and I got a call the other day claiming that it was from the CRA, and that I would be arrested if I didn't call the number back. Still waiting for the cops to show up at my door. LOL
I had a similar experience except with email. Got one of those fake emails claiming to be Amazon and said there was suspicious activity on my account, so I should click the link and sign in.
Looked pretty legit............except I don't have an Amazon account.
Mob.com

calamite0 🤣 hysterical
The Indian dude called us like 18 times. We went to Walmart and bought a $12 air horn. The next time he called I answered the phone he asked for my husband, and I said give me a second he is in the other room, and I blasted the airhorn in the phone.
He never called me back after that.
I NEED an air horn too
Ha ha ha!
wtf hahahaha I need to get one too!!!
👏👏👏👏😂
I need one too
This happened to my dad (who is an accountant) once. He asked for the guy's ID number and the guy said he didn't have to disclose that information. My dad replied "really? Because I talk to an IRS agent at least once a month and they never call me, I call them, and any time I do the person answers with their ID number." and continues going off on the guy. It was glorious.
I'm happy for the scammers to call ME as I just talk to them for 60 mins ...about JESUS
😆
Have you found Jesus? WHAT DID YOU LOSE HIM AGAIN? Damnit get a grip!
They call with a thick Indian accent and use names like "Ken Smith", or "Jason Adams"🤣🤣
Yup. "Hello my name is Bob how may I help you with your tax problem?" Yeah, riiiiight!
It's A one party system - Darn. I can't do a good Indian accent. I can do Queens or a Valley Girl from California, Jamaican, maybe British. Maybe I'll try Queens and act like their English is not American, so I can't understand.
So basically an Indian accent then. Like saying a thick English accent. wtf
@@allankeane354 If you want to get caught up in semantics, then yes. Talk about missing the point, jeez
@@JJ-ju6kyCurry in a hurry
I was told I owe $2675.00, I told the guy that's great, I just received a letter from the IRS that I owed $5950.00 can you please give me your IRS ID# so I can include it in my letter back to them that they are wrong. CLICK!!
When the scammer threatened me with immediate arrest, I said 'thank God! Now it won't matter that the bank is repossessing the house. How soon can I expect them?'......several seconds of silence, a half-hearted attempt to make me care, then she hung up. No repeat yet.
The real IRS will blast through the door and arrest you 😂
Frank Winkhorst if u ignore that letter they will blast through your door
@@woodenspoonking245 No, they will levy your wages and bank account if you ignore the letter. Or, they will audit your books and your past 3 tax years (usually, unless they find something else of concern or you did not file). If you owe them enough, they will file a tax lien. If that still doesn't get your attention, an IRS revenue agent will knock on your door. Then they will come back with a warrant and local enforcement and bust down your door. Unless it is an outdoor illegal alcohol still, then they will simply destroy it.
This is also why I laugh in their face if they say the IRS is suing...the IRS doesn't sue, it just files the paperwork and takes the money. Also, they never take you to jail unless a full criminal investigation is completed and not in your favor. (Which includes things like tax evasion, which is at least as old hat as Al Capone. ) If CI is going on, get a tax attorney and go to tax court.
About 4 years ago, I kept getting voicemails from the 'IRS' that I was being audited. Never called back, never got audited lol.
If it's an Idian accent.
100% Scammer.
You’re fucking stupid not everyone that sounds or looks Indian is a scammer. Maybe in this case but not overall.
@MonolithEnforcer You're fucking ignorant and paranoid. You're a poor FOOL.
BM31 HB YOU UTTER FOOL! GERMAN SCIENCE IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!
@@rubyy.7374 You're nothing BUT A POOR DEPRESSED DEVIL WHO THINKS WHO ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I'VE BEEN THERE DONE THAT KID. BUT YOU JUST GOT SCHOOLED. YOU'RE GARBAGE. KEEP YOUR LEGS BETWEEN YOUR LEGS AND STAY NERVOUS AND ASHAMED. DELUSIONAL SAD FUCK.
@MonolithEnforcer He thinks youre saying all indians are scammers, so hes defending them because well obv not all are... just some miscommunication here.
I know that voice, he's been trying to reach me about my car's extended warranty
My friend got one of those calls once. He asked the guy which car he was talking about. The guy asked my friend if he owned a green Mercedes, and my friend said yes. The guy said it was about the green Mercedes, so my friend 'which one? Because I own several of them." 😂
IRS won't call you, well the more you've learned!
How do people still not know this?
Yep. I just saw an IRS fraud investigator on NBC & he verified that the IRS never calls ppl at home. They only send letters.
yup, I have family members who work for the IRS, they only send mail, they will never call, plus they don't have the time to call since the call system is already screwed up.
"They have their own collection methods". Love it.
"Are your collection methods named Vito and Guido? That's how I collect money from people who owe ME."
Lol all I can think of is Good Fellows collection methods
"F-U pay me"
And "go to withdraw the money and wait for further instructions"
The best video I've seen to date is the one where a scammer tried to scam a police captain.
I haven't gotten a fake call from the IRS, but I have had a call from "Publisher's Clearing House" telling me I won a big sum of money, and all I had to do to get it was give them some money so they could release it to me (yeah, sure) and they would notify their van driver, who was in the next town making delivery to another winner, so he could bring me my winnings (jeez, what are the odds of that happening?).
I made like I couldn't hear him because I was hard of hearing, so I kept asking him to repeat what he just said and to talk more slowly and more loudly so I could understand him better. It got to the point where he was shouting every thing.
At one point he asked me where I graduated from college, and I told him "the school of hard knocks". He told me how smart I was and congratulated me on my fine choice, really trying to butter me up.
In the meantime, I was online with the real Publisher's Clearing House to look at how they go about notifying people who are winners, and how to look out for scammers. After stringing the guy along for a half hour I read the relevant paragraph to him, and confronted him with his deception. The f-bombs starting flying then - good times.
Read it more carefully it never says Publishers Clearinghouse anywhere on it. We got one too
Yeah I got the same call. Saying i won a pearl white Mercedes Benz and 1.4 million dollars. To receive these items i must pay 400. I fucked with them for so long til the guy got pissed and hung up.
there's a phone script that is intended to do exactly that. sometimes the telemarketers/scammers don't catch on that it's not a real person, even after the track loops several times.
I'd say "WHERE ARE MY BALLOONS?"
You lucky fucker! hahah.
ive had one from the supposed IRS..
funny we dont call out tax department that in Australia.
we call them c*nts usually!
Huh...you'd think they would know that just to make their scam legit
They IRS had to let go of all their Indian staff. Nobody believes them 🤣
Tax professional -"I'm reporting you to the IRS" Scammer and his buddies -" 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣☠️☠️💀💀"
I bet you regret firing Bobby from your team, huh? 😂
And yeah, I agree, the IRS won't do anything about it. It's rare for scammers to get arrested, as they're mostly from overseas *coughs India coughs* and their government don't really care.
I call the scammers repeatedly throughout the day for days on end and play dumb , giving them fake info ...doing different voices, crazy old lady, crazy old man, dumb teenager, scared business man..sometimes I just order "curried rice" ..they hate that one !!!
Beware, scammers use businesses as well. I had someone call and try to tell me I owed AT&T "back" money. I was surprised, I had always paid my bill on time. I hung up called AT&T directly and I owed them nothing.
They'll try anything. : |
Now it is Amazon and Chase Bank.
Scamming a tax professional is like telling the cop you want to go to jail.
I actually really like those phone calls I love to abuse the hell out of them on the phone. 😂
Scream PLOOBADOOF! It messes up their system. Don't ask Siri or Google ploobadoof, it causes confusion and the AI starts stuttering. It can't process nonsense words very well.
is that women just going to let her belt hang like that?
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed! very weird....zipper front belt hanging!
right centrist oh my God. That's all I could look at.
Isn't it pathetic that people get sucked into these ridiculous "fashions" that is the real tragedy
right centrist I stared at that in confusion, for some reason the belt is tied around her waist. Was this a trend at some point?
Right! What was the point of wearing the belt if she was just gonna let it dangle all awkwardly? Blech! makes her look like a dumb ass.
in other words, "that mother f***er came to the wrong neighborhood"
I keep them on the line as long as I can so they can't be scamming someone else. When the conversation is winding down I tell them "I have no idea why I am being charged. I don't pay U.S taxes because I'm a Canadian citizen."
They usually say "f... you" and hang up.
I told them my name was donna Martin and i lived in beverly hills and my zip code was 90210 and i was too rich to pay taxes.
Scammer: Harrow, my naim iz... Doug Hutchinson
Me: O'RLY?
"Do not give in to fear tactics."
Absolutely not. Thanks for the advice, "media."
That’s a good one! Lol
@Always Watching In the same manner that Trump triggers _you?_
I got the call and I'm thirteen so my voice is high pitch. I went along with it acting like a women and I got him so admit he was scamming
Calling the IRS ... you will be on hold 7 years later !
I enjoy watching the scammers get scammed. I got several calls & wishes I would have thought to do the same thing. Congratulations guys. Well done.
I got several of these calls last spring. It was so obviously fake because the voicemails they left were so poorly scripted

Love your logic!
I live in Canada and visit the US often for a cultural workshop organization, I don't have a SS# in the US, I don't pay taxes in the United States, yet I have a US phone number, I've gotten so many of these calls, I'm sick of it!
My grandmother owned a large chunk of land, one year she wrote a check to the IRS for 3000 . But somebody at the IRS did not get enough zeros into the computer. My grandmother got a letter saying that she still owed $2700
We photocopied the check, we photocopied the bank statement and we showed them that the $3000 did go through the bank
And we explain that somebody on there end did not do their job correctly instead.
Someone called me saying they were from the IRS, attempting to scam me... but I am from Canada, wedon't have the IRS.
it's funny because they do CRA scams as well and sometimes they mix up which group they're calling for which country.
A citizen of country A can owe taxes to country B, if the taxable activity occurred within the jurisdiction of B.
If A and B are on good terms with each other, B can use A's legal system to collect those taxes.
Thanks to identity theft, it's possible for B to have good reason (possibly good enough to hold up in court) to falsely believe that you do owe them taxes.
Therefore, don't automatically reject a tax claim just because it's from another country.
Do reject something that claims to be from the IRS if it didn't come by mail, or if they ask you to use a means of payment that is hard to trace, or if they tell you that you must pay immediately right after the first notification you receive about the matter. Also, they must provide an explanation why you owe the money. If they don't provide one, or if it doesn't make sense, be suspicious and get the services of a tax professional.
I love when they call, I play along with it to the end
I have also been told that I was going to court because of fraud on my Social Security account. They needed my money--and my Social Security number...🙄
I got one of these calls. My wife did the same thing. She told me we were being sued. This guy in the video was actually a lot calmer than me. I called the number back, and told them I'd be the one to sue their asses with an elephant dick if they ever call me again. They never did.
I get these calls from time to time as well. I just tell them that I am an FBI agent. Click, the phone hangs up. No I’m not really an FBI agent, but one scam deserves another in my book.
When ever I get calls like this I just mess with them so hard! Once I claimed to be the bored of directors of the IRS and he was crappin himself so hard, he went straight into full aggressive mode and started cussing and threatening to sue me, oh Jesus it was funny as hell.
they don´t crap themselves, stop dreaming lol they have been doing this for 25+ years and are untouchable in India and Pakistan.
Board vs bored.
sounds like my kind of fun. i'd trip them up so bad .they"d send me money to leave them alone
I had one of those calls. I answered and called they're bluff. I told them " what kinda of scam call is this? You don't wanna take payment? Your are the stupidest scam agency on the face of this Earth". They threatened that they were sending a police cruiser to come arrest me. I told them. " You go right on ahead, I'll even leave the door wide open for them, tell them to walk right in" they said to expect a cruiser with in the hour. The hour came and went. No one showed. 🤣
I'm a CPA, I love getting those calls, they are hysterical! I play with them for a few minutes, then when I unmask them they start with the MF bombs like I was the one that was trying to scam them!
Unfortunately, they do manage to fool some gullible people into paying them.
I told one that I knew they were a scam as the IRS never calls you, they send mail. The torrent of profanity was inspired.
The IRS does call delinquent taxpayers (actually non-taxpayers) and they will send out a revenue officer to collect as well, however they don't ask you to send a moneygram from Wal-Mart. LOL
by ”revenue officer” u mean a 6 foot tall tattoo ridden thug that just takes stuff from your home?
Actually it appears they prefer ITunes cards!
Got this call a few months ago. I never heard of the any government agency contacting by phone for outstanding debts so I figured it was a scam from the get go, but I did look it up online to confirm my suspicions. Now I'm getting some kind of scam call from someone saying they are in jail and if I would accept collect charges. Good luck buddy I don't know anyone who would be in jail for any reason.
I tend to "drop calls" on my cell phone so I ask them to call my home phone number. I give them the one for the IRS. Heeheehee
If anyone fones you looking for money, just tell them to put it in writing providing to document and verify their statement of claim. They cannot. End of story. Simple.
I asked the "IRS" caller if he rode a camel to work. He hung up.
"Hear the call"? You mean hear a few seconds of a dramatic reconstruction
...this old guy is not funny at all. why oh why did he not say "hello there fella IRS worker, I work for the IRS too, can we go get a cup of coffee and talk about this?" or something like that, would have been hilarious to hear their response if they realized that they called the actual IRS employee lol xD
possibly becuase he doesn't work for the IRS? He's a tax professional aka accountants ;)
And that idiot scammer knows this how? I bullshit the IRS, Credit Card Services and Microsoft scammers everytime they call and leave a message as I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands so I take their time away from them!
If it's a middle eastern voice it's a scam so have fun with them and waste their time and laugh at hem before hanging up!
Because Enrolled Agents are not IRS employees, they represent taxpayers before the IRS.
I have the most riveting conversations with "The Veterans Association" absolutely lovely.
The real crime is being a tax professional.
Ve have vays of collecting money vays you have never dreamed of
monitor1862 I like how you swapped every 'w' with a 'v' instead.
not only they don't call you, they don't answer.
When the scammer fakes being the IRS and calls the IRS
I know it's wrong because it seems to affect their self-respect and we don't want to do that to anyone but I can't help myself from calling them 'monkeys' and offering them bananas when they call.
I used to be neighbors with this elderly woman and one day she came out of her house screaming bloody murder because a scammer had called her, telling her she was being sued by the irs. he told her all her information (full name, address, phone number, etc) and said that if she didn't pay up she'd be taken to prison. I'd never seen someone so terrified in my life, like I thought she was going to go into cardiac arrest. I fucking hate those disgusting pigs
This is the problem with out-sourcing all our jobs. These people get a hold of personal information.
It floors me to this day 1/3/21 that people still fall for this scams young & old
I've had that same phone call, many times, once I called them, and I said I have been on social security all my life, I don't owe anyone anything. They claimed that the police will be at my house to pick me up and take me to jail. I told them I'll be right here waiting, because I know you are trying to scam me. They just insisted I'm going to jail if I don't pay this outstanding bill I have never owed. So I waited. No one came after me. Each time they call, I let it go to voice mail, to keep track so I can give it to the authoritys. P.s. don't ever answer a number you don't know, they tap into your phone and screw it up. So bad you have to buy another one.
This was 6y ago and the scammers are still doing the same
You dont need to be a tax professional to stick it to them
my daughter just added, "or just answer every call with 'hello this is the IRS' and see if they hang up". LOL
I used to love getting calls like this. They'd say we have police coming to your office right now to arrest you and I'd say 'Okay, thanks for the warning, I guess I better hang up and get the fuck out of here then. Bye'
Got this type o thing awhile back,an idiot(foreign accent)tried to tell me my SSN # Would be suspended, which I know,is absolutely not possible...he ask for my info,I simply told him"dont you already have it?Didnt give him a damn thing...he was pissed..LOVED IT!!!
Oh C’mon! Don’t people know to send sixty five thousand dollars to an office in Bombay India ! No ? Oh dear!!
Get this the IRS is so powerful they don't take you to court. Just take what you owe 😅 with a simple letter.
I would like to get this call JUST to mess with them. We’d see WHO is angry at the end of the call. Hanging up on them is too good for them. Stay on the line, make them repeat everything, speak another language if you know one, ask them to explain to you WHAT the IRS is, or just pretend you hear something other than what they said. If they say “taxes”, tell them you LOVE Texas and can’t wait to move back there.
This just made my day
Just had another thought how to deal with these freaks. Somewhere I read if you blow a whistle into your phone, it will amplify the sound and rupture their eardrum.
I recently got a call saying they could help me pay off my college loans but I'm only in high school……
The IRS doesn't call people, they send letters.
If you're gullible enough to fall for it, you deserve to get ripped off.
When I get calls like this I curse at them like a hillbilly from Ohio.
Anyone who thinks that's the real IRS needs some help 😂😂😂
Scammer on 1 side, scammer on the other
The IRS will certainly call you if you owe taxes and have ignored all mailings. An IRS officer will also make an unannounced visit to your home or place of business. The IRS will also file a lawsuit against you if you have, for example fraudulently transferred your your assets to avoid the IRS tax lien.
The IRS does make cold calls. However, no agent or officer of the IRS will threaten you by "sending your case to the courthouse." If you want to verify that an IRS agent is real, ask for their name and Employee ID # and then call your local police department. The IRS has a verification phone line that all police may use to verify the identity of IRS employees. You may also ask the person who called you to set up an in person meeting at the nearest IRS office to your location. These verification tactics should be enough to scare away any scam artists. Also remember that IRS does NOT SEND EMAIL. Any email you received claiming to be from the IRS is a scam.
I'VE Received Such Calls (Two)... I've Noticed They Had "Thick Accents"; One Was Indian/Pakistani, The Other Spanish...
I Listened For A Few Minutes Then Told Them That They Were Committing A Crime, Explaining That NO Government Agency, In The United States, Would EVER Call Someone On The Telephone... That They Would Send A Letter With Instructions About What I Should Do In Response To The Letter...
*One Left A Message Saying I Was About To Be Arrested, Unless I Contacted Them Immediately... When I Called The Number, They Asked For My Name, And Then Asked For My Social Security Number... Which I Did NOT Provide.
REMEMBER...
NEVER Give Your Personal Information To Anyone... Regardless Of WHO They Claim To BE...
**THE GOVERNMENT WILL NEVER CALL YOU ON THE TELEPHONE...They Will Send A Letter With Instructions...
Companies such as Google, Walmart and Steam need to be more accountable because these are the victims are being asked to pay by using Google play, Walmart gift and Steam cards etc. There needs to be signs up at the stores that sell these cards that say "The IRS will never ask you to pay by gift card". These companies are profiting huge amounts (hundreds of millions of dollars) from the scamming from Indian call centres, so they have no incentive to stop these crimes.
Thats a good idea....but trust me. I work in retail. People never read the signs.
Yeah Google are really bad. Scammers who've been tricked and ridiculed by baiters complain to Google to have the videos exposing them taken off RUclips and many times Google complies.
Why would walmart stop a sale? They are bigger scammers themselves.
Very thought provoking comment.
Please remember to educate the most vulnerable- The elderly.
One time I had a small tax refund coming....and they sent my check to the wrong address and the person who got my check actually cashed it. It took me months to get my money .... And the stupid thing is... I was an IRS employee at the time.
You got nothing you got nothing to loose.give the scammer an IRS number as a call back number
The best indicators are unknown numbers, lots of questions for your details and a noisy call centre in their background
I love this video. You guys are the best
This happened to me recently and I didn’t know at first that it was a scam! He told me I was going to jail for 3 years and I’d loose my kids. Mind you I had just recently lost my husband in a horrific accident so I wasn’t totally thinking clear! My oldest called the IRS directly and found out it was a scam! Durning the 3 hours of dealing with this he had me convinced I was going to jail 45 min after we hung up if I didn’t pay right then! I’ve paid a known company to do my taxes for the past 20 years and I new I didn’t but I wasn’t thinking clearly! They play on your fears and it’s sick! They called back over 20 times in one day to scare me! They had my info to! Including my DOB SS# address and #! I threw up for about 24 hours and was pale and crying! This really isn’t funny! It’s really sad. I wish they could be stopped! Now I don’t answer my phone if I don’t know the # ! God bless my son for helping me and saving me from taking out a loan to pay a scammer!
Momma Bear: so sorry to hear of your loss and to hear that these bastards put you through such a hard time. My daughter lost her hubby in an accident two and a half years ago, she was badly injured and she finds it difficult to deal with things. I hope life gets better for you God bless
Reporting some guy from India to the IRS? The guy seems like the type of person that would waste his time doing that too.
Somebody should stop this. It is ridiculous that anyone can claim to be anyone else and nobody cares.
There is no way to stop this other than being informed enough to ignore their calls.
I received calls like that before, and they say I owe money to the irs, funny thing I'm disabled and haven't had taxable income for over 15 years. I just tell them to take me to court, I don't give a shit!
I used to watch WSPA 7 News all the time when I live in the foothills here in NC. Now, I live near Wilmington and can no longer get the channel. I miss this station
It’s simple. The IRS Never Ever calls you
I've received those calls, I keep telling them I can't understand what they are saying until they get mad and hang up
Not just on the US - I received a similar call a few days ago in Australia claiming they were with the ATO. Fortunately I have seen similar You Tube Videos to this one and just hung up without saying a word after an initial "hello". Their caller ID was a Melbourne number, spoofed no doubt. They didn't ring back of course.
People, if you get this call and think its real, first of all, ITS NOT , the IRS will NEVER contact you via telephone, second, if you're still not convinced, go to your local IRS office (most cities have one) and ask them directly. They can go through your records from the very first time you filed and will tell you of any discrepancies
