Hi Jim, great video, enjoyed it. Looked like hard work seating the shaft, working up a sweat 🤣 Years ago I used to put a capped bolt into butt of shaft, and strike with a hammer to drive shaft home. Worked evert time, as the noise tells you when the shaft is fully seated. Thanks Chris
TCBs are great looking and even better performing clubs. I have a set of the Raw TCBs and wouldn't hesitate to get a 2nd set if the raws were still available. Great video, Jim! You are a master, my friend!
I’ve used fishing line on some of my builds were the shaft is a little loose instead of shims. I’ve seen the Mizuno Tour Van use this method and it’s very effective and pretty easy to do.
I was actually showing a trick I'm using a little bit of heat shrink and fishing line it was from a Japanese tour builder working for Bridgestone tour stage
I just bought a used set of TCBs and wanted to get the swingweight up. Would I be able to remove the plate and put some lead tape inside and put the plate back on or would there not be enough space? I’m trying to go from d1 to d3.
Just curious. Do you ever measure bore depth before you install ferrules/shafts. On a couple of sets I've reshafted, the bore depth was not consistent. One iron head was .1" deeper than the others, and all were inconsistent depths. To me this means that if you bottom the shaft in the hosel you end up getting a slightly different bend profile than intended. Might not mean much - just wondering if you consider this in your builds, and should those you are basically teaching through your videos, take this into account. If this is something we should consider, how would you handle it?
Jed, I am sure on tenth of inch will not be considered significant by the designers. However it can be a consideration when thinking BBGM. If I see something that is out of whack then yes I start to look at them deeply.
Mizuno is the only company i know that is making a lighter head for the longer builds. I would look into lighter shafts and bigger grips to balance the club

I love to see and hear your explanations of what needs to happen within your build. Great Content. Have fun at the PGA Show.

Nice work as always Jim 👍
thanks and got the care package, Thank you very much
@@McGolf not a problem at all. Not as fancy as my pencil sharpener divot tool you sent but we hope you like them anyway 🤞
Love the build! I would be nevous hitting butt of graphite that hard to seat the shaft. Being a steelfiber are they stronger?
I do it for both steel and graphite. That was a bit aggressive but as long as I straight in its all good,

Love the channel. Hey have you ever worked with aluminum Ferrules? I was curious if they can be worked like the plastic ones?
I have not, I would think they are specific to an OD for the hosel. But with enough sanding influence and some polishing it could be very close.
Where can you buy just the heads?
The ferrules look like Cleveland ferurules.

Hi Jim what is the best belt to use for turning down the ferrules, I always seem to over turn and mark the ferrules badly
I use the felt belt, no burning, and a good finish, press lightly
Did someone try to hit a golf ball through your door?
Where can club heads be bought
When building lefty clubs, after spining the shafts are they oriented differently than for right handed?
nope both at 12 oclock
What are the lightest heads to build a set 2 inches long
