I put the 5.3 gallon tank on my 2024 DR650 last week, fit great, no wobble. I also installed the seat concepts seat. I did not use the seat clip that came with the tank. When I put the seat on, it fit tight against the tank and did not pull back away from the tank. Got rid of the factory filter and used an in line filter. The seat concepts seat is very comfortable and worth the money. I am using TST Industries Echo Pod LED turn signals, they are small enough that I did not have to relocate the turn signals. I have about 1/4 inch clearance when the handle bars are turned to full lock.
Yeah, it looks huge when you're holding it but once it's on the bike it's not so overwhelming. Actually fits pretty good. I'll have two videos coming up on the ride/review. Thanks for watching!
I love this tank, but I only put the petcock on left side, if it leaks it won't be leaking on the exhaust. In 20000km not once did i have to lean the bike on the left side to get that extra bit of gas, as I get between 450-500km on a tank. For the tank rubbing against the oil radiator guard, you can find people putting a second rubber on the frame near the front (like there is under the rear of the tank, and also adding shock bushings or door stops on the brackets on the side of the frame to push the tank outside a bit and give it more support and more room, but Acerbis should fix their design to compensate…. Cheers!
It is tight around the oil cooler, going to add some padding to the frame to hopefully add a little more space at the oil cooler and also fill space if that makes sense.
Did you end up using the pro cycle turn signal brackets? You mentioned it was challenging, but didn't show the install orientation of the brackets, or did I miss it?
Nice work! It will be interesting to hear what kind of range you get with that big tank. Does the bike feel any different with with tank full? Just wondering if you can feel the weight of the extra gas?
Thanks, appreciate you watching! I have two more videos following this one coming out about the ride/review (range) of the tank. Since I also ride a KLR650 and am somewhat used to a very top heavy bike, this tank (full) on the DR650 hasn't bothered me.

Very nice! Appreciate you watching!
muy buen video explicativo saludos desde Argentina
¡Gracias por ver! Siempre quise montar en Argentina.
Ive got this one on my 650, looks nice,
🤘🏻 🌟 🤘
it seems a little tight around the rad....full tank will move enough to cause a problem...keep an eye for wear....nice color for the bike.

Great video! You just sold me a tank! What engine guard do you have?
Appreciate you watching!
T Rex Racing crash guards.

Does this kind of tank fit 125-150 cc bikes
I believe it may be model specific, this tank fits my DR650.
What did you end up doing about the oil cooler?
Going to add some padding to the frame.
If I was going to steal your gas. Pull the gas line off let the gas drain into a container that locking gas cap not going to work 😮
Sounds like you've done this before. Most locks are merely an illusion, you can get into anything if you want to spend the time doing it.
