- After owning a G10 Executive for 16months I've made this video to assist those considering the G10 Exec as their next large family vehicle. I am very happy with my G10 Exec but NOT happy with the "Distance To Service" limitation service centers placed on my car forcing a service down to the kilometer. After 5quick presses on the left wand within 3secs the screen is cleared but comes back at every engine start so try pressing the button once on the left wand when you see the SERVICE Spanner. It should clear the screen. @ 7:15 Apologies tongue slip, should be 'ENGINE'
Thank you I have researched a lot of videos on the G10. This one is by far the most informative.
hello Natalie. It's been over three years now since bought our G10 Executive and it's never missed a beat. Before Covid we would gather up a group of friends & go off on five day tours. We have been all over NSW, Vic, Ocean Rd, Tasmania even in very hot weather the G10 was air con perfect even with 6 adults & luggage. The 165 kilowatt turbo engine never has trouble fully loaded going up & down mountains. My wife married 20 yrs was born in Shanghai & the G10 was made in Shanghai so I am double fortunate.
Nice review of the LDV G10 Gary, thank you.
Fabulous & useful. Thank you.
Thanks for the advice
useful review !
Your video is realy helpful, thank you!
Hi Richard, you are very welcome. I have found the G10 &seat people mover to be a great car if you have a sizable family or entertain guests as I do. I have many family visitors & friends come to OZ as my wife's family are Beijingese. They love we have a Chinese vehicle that is roomy, comfortable with a high perspective. The family children praise our G10 as the best car in the family. That's not to shabby when you consider the family in Being drive top end Mercedes SUVs.
@@Templemain Gary how have you found the ldv any problems? How many kms have u done
@@Jase-so2tm Hi, there. I owned LDV G10 exec for one and a half years & done about 16000klms. I've had no problems at all. I have driven when it was 40degrees Celsius with a full house of seven adults on board and the dual air on system worked just fine. I've done long trips, Sydney to Melbourne, over to Tasmania then back along the Great Ocean Road & finally inland back to Sydney. The trip was very pleasant with very comfortable seats & a 165 kilowatt turbine petrol engine able to handle all highway environments with ease. I am very happy my LDV.
@@Templemain what do u drive now?
Can you take the automatic door lock off soon as you hit 8km not good being a courier stopping 200 times a day
Very informative, did you say the having the second remote in a steel tin case blocks the signal.
'Basically YES The LDV or any other car that uses key less remotes with NOT abide a 2nd remote in the car when you want to drive or lockup. The simple way to defeat any wireless remote is place it in a closed tin. It acts as what is known as a Faraday shield. No radio signals can come or go. It is invisible to the cars receiver system.
It certainly does. Just do it as shown in the video and your good to go. should misfortune steal your carried LDV remote you save your self.
Great video thanks for publishing it.
I’ve just purchased a 2018 g10 executive from a private seller. I pick it up next week and was not aware of the serviced kilometre distance. Should I take it to a Saic dealer service and get them to extend the kilometre range or would most mechanics these days be able to rectify this?
@@sector9films Better take it to a regular garage. Ask first but most local garages will have the required equipment to reset your distance to service when you have your service. I say this because the DEALERS are much more expensive. Check my other video on LDV G10 showing my local mechanic of 17yrs doing a service.
Just reverse battery in spare key fob if you're hiding it under the van somewhere.
considering in getting the G10 also. Hows your ownership experience since buying it? Everything went as expected i hope (usual preventive car maintenance routine). No "bugs" or unexpected factory defects? Basic features still working? power windows, power adjustable seats, etc. How're the spare parts? are they easy to come by in your area?
It's been just great. Getting the wife to accept a VAN rather than a car was immediately sorted the moment she sat in the front passenger seat & realized she could look over the top of every one else. After the free 1st month service from the dealer I went back to my usual mechanic who was able to do every thing required at one third the cost of the dealer. We took trip around OZ & Tasmania with no trouble. We took two other couples who have been friends for years on trips of 2,000kms over six days in NSW. With six people in the G10 I experienced NO problems in power, stability & air con running up and down at legal highway speeds in 40 degree C. All who have come on trips with us were very happy with the comfort and the luggage space enough for the six of us. I am very happy with my purchase after nearly two years of trouble free travel.
Any issues with the van? I think k it's time to let go of me vw t3
Still only has a 3 star ANCAP crash safety rating ( apparently ) !!
2015 - 2021 !!
NO advanced safety features Ie ( 2015 - 2021 )
No AEB
No ACC
Etc, etc...
Slightly racist start there but otherwise a handy little video :)
I’m half Asian and I see No slight racist there.
