back in the 80's the ferrari 208 has a 2.0 v8. it was design for only the Italian market to bypass the engine displacement tax

Season 1 of the 'new' Top Gear started much later, in 2002. The 70s show you are talking about was totaly different, it had for example tiff needell in it, who now does Fifth Gear. It was called Top Gear indeed, but it was nothing like what it is now. So you you are kind of right, but not completely, but I get your point.
And Top Gear(other Countries) to have their own channel on RUclips =P
I just can't get enough of Top Gear, shame it's only on once a week really.

Clarkson was a writer for Performance Car Magazine until 1988 when he was a host of Top Gear.
That episode did really air on sunday the 28. Meaning, last sunday.

Series 20 currently under way on BBC2, Sunday Nights at 8pm. Sadly we seem to get less episodes than we used to. Think we're down to 6 episodes per season now :(

I realize that the TG boys didn't actually make these special vehicles themselves in the previous seasons, but this Hovervan was the most extreme example yet. I miss the days when their creations were vaguely realistic and their adventures didn't seem as staged. Funny episode, though.
In Italy, the newer episodes that we see are from 2007 or 2008. This is the first time I see Hammond with his real age .. has become slightly old! What a trauma! ahah

Actually this is one of the funniest Top Gear episodes I've ever seen, and those two jerry cans in the background towards the end of the vid are but a small portion of what would have been used to keep that hovervan afloat.

Hi, im from east asia and really love your car reviews.. by the way.. i would like to suggest a race on a pure electric cars with out using any oil as a source of electricity.. must complete a 500Mile journey goal. only means of charging is a ECO solution or a power cord and a willing household/station to charge your car. this would be a great race~ thanks~

They are on every Sunday in Euroupe and the following Monday on BBC America. Normally some one will post it illeagaly on RUclips for a short while but this season has been pretty dry and full of spam. I tunes has it but then your going to be 2 weeks behind. Only less than hand full of episodes left unfortunatly.
I remember seeing the American program 'monster garage' do a similar thing... There's was a bit more clever though

Jeremy Clarkson joined Top Gear in 1988, when it was a serious car program. That show ended and then restart and he was the host of the new show as well.
