Was anyone else as surprised as me to realise just how small the actual set is? Been watching this show since I was a kid and I always thought it was much, much larger. Very clever set design to give that illusion. =)
it's not an illusion as much as it is an effect from seeing the same place empty or packed with people. try walking in an empy disco after you have seen it full. more so if you increase illumination, it will appear much smaller than you remembered

Well duct tape is extremely overlooked and underapriciated item. I was personally surprised to find how many things are able to function thanks to it. Like for example International space station, local hospital etc.

£500k is extremely cheap. The guy who plays the doctor gets 300k per episode all to himself and doctor who doesn't even make the BBC as much money as top gear.
+Stephen Dengler The whole point of Top Gear is it was made by a bunch of blokes who don't need all the mod cons. They make what they want to make in an environment that suits them. I can tell you these offices are far nicer then the ones they had a few years ago
