"BiSH - Monster" It is one of the "Classics" of Japanese Idol Music.
Thank you for letting me know, I will check 'em out as soon as I can ;)
Nice vid!
Yes passcode react. I think you should react next is "Trace" live performance, thanks
Thanks for letting me know, I will check it out ;)
yuna has a great voice in live
Passcode is a jpop idol group with a backing band. they're genre is mostly electronicore/metalcore with unpredictable mix/changes in their songs and kawaii dance. i probably recommend you to react to them LIVE here are some of their very very good songs live. most people don't like autotune.
ONE STEP BEYOND
bite the bullet
DIVE INTO THE LIGHT
Seize Approaching BRAND NEW ERA
MISS UNLIMITED
Ray
Starry Sky
Trace
Same to you
Tonight
rise in revolt
React to Unlucky Morpheus - Black Pentagram
Reaction again, passcode - insanity live
In their case that autotune is actually a must for their music style as they go for that Electric metal or wtf Synth metal or smth XD dont really know the actual genre but thats the type of music i love.
As a new-ish fan (almost 2 years by now) is kinda difficult to watch reaction to this song because it's the most divided and most random parts changes they have ever made to this day. Well, Miss Unlimited has it too, but it's less than this, for sure, but the problem here is (and please take no offense if you feel like you belong in this category) that many metal-head etilists come to this group and instantly have a take-back by the amount of electronic/pop/dance which are not prepared for.
This is an alternative idol group, which means that groups like this have the usual idol stuff BUT the music in background can be vary from full edm-trance-psychodelic to this screamo/metal and even go to a death metal/black metal style. (and no, this isn't a joke, there are groups with those kind of music :D ahah)
Edit: What I'm trying to say is that japanese bands and groups like to mash togther a lot of different sounds, so if you wanna deep dive into the japanese music industry, a suggestion that I can give you is: expect the unexpected. There are bands which have soo many twists and turn that would blow the minds of many western audience accustomed to the western music. :)
Anyway one thing that I often hear is about the autotune thingy... well.. it could be a little bit of autotune in the studio BUT what are you referring to is the vocoder which is an effect that applies to their voices. They have this effect even during lives but you can definitely hear them go a bit out from the recorded version, making it even better.
They use the vocoder for a more "futuristic" vibe, if you get what I mean, and this is why they crank up that thing x) but don't worry, they can DEFINITELY sing (and scream haha) during lives and I can say they are even better because you can feel their emotion when singing, you can watch them as they get emotional and start to cry while singing trying to give their all and you can feel their passion about it.
As of now I would recommend just going to their uploaded videos and click one that catches your eye better, but the more you scroll down and more you can feel the overall quality drop and become a "more idol" group and less metal / shouty. (Don't worry about that too much tho :D)
I actually enjoyed it alot, that's why I like the japanese scene. I followed bands like Girugamesh, Dir En Grey, Maximum the Hormone, Mucc, but this for me is something new, and I'm glad to see that Japan keeps experimenting with sounds. The first impact with vocoder was strange for me (in this song I mean), but when I heard a couple of other songs on spotify I've understood the clever usage, so I agree with you ^_^ Thank you for the explanation and the advice ;)
@@BladeWinchester OOhh, my favorite band of all time is Maximum The Hormone. They saved my life in a way, so I'm somewhat an hardcore fan of them.
Btw OOWW I wanted to see more reaction of Passcode, don't listen too much of them ahah :D
Anyway I'm new to the genre too but I'm friend with one of the Alt Idol Podcast (sadly they stopped) so he has been telling me a lot of things about this kind of groups of Idol.
Since you like heavy stuff I'll suggest you some other groups that you will go crazy about:
Yukue Shirezu Tsurezure:
ruclips.net/video/P-r6t0fiO6w/видео.html
^this is the legendary line-up, as I like to call it ahaha, before they changed it. (happens a lot)
ruclips.net/video/cmLeISjwVxU/видео.html
^this is the latest line up
-Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da:
ruclips.net/video/RIDt6wOIZw0/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/5_R0I9A7CvQ/видео.html
^there is an mv of this but it's old and the line up was different, so I prefer this live.
P.S. They are not all this heavy tho, they can go to dance-pop to electronic too
-Broken by the Scream
ruclips.net/video/Q8qOH-f6doM/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/4Eum9rFdFQc/видео.html
Here you go :D Have fun with it!
@@katarinanokami2718 they're amazing ^_^
lol surprises after surprise
you reacted to band maid as well? Must watch! PASSCODE have a love affair with Vocoders for the cleans, to be sound like computer/game characters, so it's for effect. If you want straight J-metal, Lovebites - Shadowmaker, Unlucky Morpheus - Black Pentagram, or for massive theatrical symphonic metal Versailles - Fate and Decision
Yes I did, you can find the video on my channel ;D Thank you very much for the advice, I will check them out for sure ;)
Have you heard Necronomidol? It is the unique mixture of Japanese Kawaii Idol & Black Metal. Please check out "あたいの爪痕" or "ITHAQUA".
My favorite song is Psychopomp: watch?v=rWKKgzGj_94
The video was recorded in the legendary _"suicide forest"_ Aokigahara. 💀 👻 🎃
this is one of their heavier tracks. at least from the other tracks I've heard it's more rock than metal. if you don't mind modified vocals, they are an interesting group.
if you have time, check out dreamcatcher. very different take and a bit more vocal oriented, but even some metalheads have taken a liking to them. 'piri' would be a decent track to start off with.
And I am seriously recommend you to react to "Broken By The Scream - Do・Do・N・Pa!! - Live in Tokyo
". It should be the Live Version, not PV.
Ok, I will check it out as soon as I can, I love BBTS, so I am already hyped for this XD
React to Broken by the scream, please.
Ki Ra is a great place to start.
PassCode is a risky choice. It's a love/hate dichotomy.
Ive always tried to get into passcode but its always the electronic effects added to clean vocals that have turned me off. Its why i have always preferred Bridear
True! I feel the same way. Every time I listen to them it's kinda cool but I really really HATE the very poppy autotuned to death robot-vocals. It's not even the poppy musical style in those parts and it's not like she can't sing or anything. It sounds much better in the parts where the dial the Autotune back a lot but when its full on there.... couldn't they just have let her sing and add a synth behind the voice?
Gonna check out Bridear now. Thanks for the suggestion!
