It has come around SO FAST but it is the last week of medical school before the easter holidays and we have a week of deadlines, covid tests, waking up at 5am and a few tears... Another great video, Anna! I’m glad you’re really enjoying your course still and powering through (we love anatomy!). The time updates in your videos are really useful as well - help actually provide some realistic ideas for how you’re not overworking or overextending yourself so thank you! Re sometimes not understanding the content, I think it’s natural - the volume of content in medicine is intense and being able to memorise it and respond to to it all is tough - I think it’s just a method of practice and experience for it to become more natural :) and wouldn’t worry too much about it! Xx

Great vlog Anna. I'm learning gluteal and thigh muscles atm for my podiatry degree. So much to learn, but I find anatomy zone really helpful too. I'm sure you're doing great. I'd love to see you try to follow one of Ruby Granger's daily routines for a video. I'd be interested in seeing if her routine as an English student would work for a medical student. I’m currently doing children’s nursing but I want to go into second year med school when I’ve finished this degree, as soon as u said u have to do logs again made me contemplate my whole career plan🤯🤦🏽♀️🙃
Oh no its such a small part! I really wouldn’t worry about that if you want to do med school because to be honest we really haven’t done a lot of maths, however I still hate logs 🤣 xx

Aw I’m so glad! Thank you so much ❤️ I would say make sure you enjoy it, it’s your last year before GCSE’s! Still focus on doing well and understanding what you enjoy and learn to organise your time. But make sure your still doing everything you want to and having fun xx

I really want to look round birmingham uni but i dont think theyre doing an open day. Do you think its worth going just look round the area?
YES 100% I went to look around on my own and I actually found it really helpful. The campus is so pretty so you could just walk around, look at the gym, library, buildings all from outside which is a little annoying but way better than not seeing it. I would go to the train station and just have a proper walk around xx

Hi, I’m in year 12 and I’ve only recently decided to try and move into medicine. Previously I wanted to be a vet and volunteered for a little over a year at my local practice pre-COVID. But now I have been able to get very little experience in medicine/volunteering. Do you think A: I should include this vet experience in my application. Or will it show lack of commitment? And B: Do I have enough time to get adequate work experience before October?
Hi Cameron, I would say if you can try to get some medicine work experience either at a GP surgery, hospital, care home wherever you can! It is really hard this year with COVID and universities are recognising this in their selections this year so I wouldn’t worry toooo much, although it is really helpful on deciding if it is definitely right for you. You still have loads of time in the summer to get work experience so I would try as a hard as you can to get some then!

Okay so 🤣 I am a little like this, I find foods I love and then get addicted to them. However, if you swap between chocolate and vanilla protein powder then change the fruit you use as well as sometimes adding peanut butter or chocolate spread I promise it doesn’t get boring! I literally love it
Their actually quite refreshing having something cold first thing in the morning wakes me up quicker
