Nice project… I have a near identical one in build in my garage! 110 2 door 200tdi on a new chassis and bulkhead! I have fitted a 45 litre side tank which needs to be attached to the rear tub…. I also have fitted a side locker on drivers side. I have fitted my tub temporarily to install the tank/ locker really to establish clearances etc. it will be coming back off to be repaired/raptored. I have a couple of gull wings and a dropdown window for the rear…. Mines too will be as an overlander. I currently have standard springs with OME shocks, pioneer brake lines and clutch lines, converted the rear axle to discs, and have a LOF clutch….. oh and lots of other stuff! Good luck with the build.
@@MarkChalmers-em3xp sounds nice, would be good to see some pictures. Does the side tank fit underneath the tub? Are you planning to use it for water or fuel? Think my next step is to repair my tub and order a new bulkhead and then get them fitted and painted. After that I hope the rest of the build will progress quite quickly
@@aguyandhisgarage Its a britpart 45 inline fueltank under the rear right corner. You fasten it in 2 places, to the rear cross member and the tub so need to do with tub on. I bought a side locker for which i originally intended to fit in the left corner but in the end decided to put on the side as i may put a water tank in the rear corner. I think you should put the tub on so you know where you may get clashes.... measured it a million time before i took the angle grinder to it! Only issue i have at present as the door springs open and need to remove and shim out a little! Got loads of photos and happy to share... not sure i can do it here....
@@MarkChalmers-em3xp yeah, I will get the tub fitted first and then start mocking up underslung tanks etc. You could always email me? cambrianclassics@hotmail.com
Looks amazing! Have a look into the airtec front mount intercooler and block off the gap where the old one was. Iv just done it to the overland 110 and it’s transformed it and keeps the EGTs about 60° lower. Also make sure your rear shock washers are the right way round 😊
If you are going to be in the middle of nowhere I suggest you change the radiator for a brass and copper one, you can always do a solder repair on that but you need a TIG welder to repair an aluminium one, may not be available locally. Also suggest you carry a spare viscous fan coupling, they are not always reliable.
@@grahames9228 absolutely agree, however to some extent extra weight is inevitable for safety/security. With good planning I can hopefully keep the centre of gravity down low and not compromise on range/worry of getting stuck.

Can't wait to see this finished!
Stay Tuned, I am currently waiting on a bulkhead but hopefully soon I'll be able to carry on with this build!

@@ChristopherBennett-t2d it's definitely something I will look into, but then I assume you need to run electric fans due to space issues?
Great Job!

@@robertfack3082 thanks for your input. I will definitely bare it in mind when I come to assembling the spare parts I will be taking with me
My piece of advise for the build, if you intend overlanding, is to try and keep the weight down wherever possible.

Are front salisburies still available?
@@mattluszczak8095 they are not available to buy new but there's always a supply of second hand and reconditioned for sale.
Looks good . How much have you got into that engine . Keep them coming
@@matthewwhitney8103 I've not really been tracking it that tightly. It must be around £2k for everything including the ancillaries.
That's pretty good investment the first trucks lasted 20-30 years . Yours is looking spot on 👍🏻
