About how much did your system cost? I would like something like this to water my yard from an irrigation ditch.
@@LisaFlint-hf7fj I got my system about two years ago, so I'm not sure what current pricing would be. But at the time my pump was only about $400 and then the self cleaning filter was between $3,000 and $4,000. At first that might seem like a lot...but in my case I've already paid for it in culinary water bill savings over just a year and a half and now it's just putting mony back in my pocket. The system has performed flawlessly so far! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video. Great information. I am also seeing the normal filters clogging very quickly when getting the water from the lake. I removed the mesh and now all sprinkler heads clog :-( I will follow this to upgrade my system.
Thanks for watching and commenting! These self cleaning filters are the answer! Mine is still working flawlessly and it saves me so much time! Certainly worth the investment!
Thank you so much great video. How do you switch from canal water to city water. Using a 3 way valve?
Thanks so much for watching the video! A 3 way valve would certainly work! In my case, my city water comes in from the front yard and the canal is in my backyard. So I just have a ball valve after my back flow preventer in the front yard that turns the city water off and on, and then I have another ball valve in the backyard by the pump that I open when I’m using canal water, or is closed when I’m on city water. That way I could use the sprinkler pipes that I had in the ground already and I didn’t need to run anything extra for a 3 way valve. Works for me at least in my situation!
thanks im looking into a setup like yours im in florida any more details so i can copy your setup
It’s pretty slick! You’ll LOVE the self cleaning filter! Forsta is awesome! Thanks for watching!
