Great vid Hifivega! I especially liked how you broke down what you would need to power this amp. Great info for novice and experienced enthusiasts alike. Awesomeness!
@@majicdude88 Do you have any idea how many of these amplifiers have been re-branded? Too many to keep up with. I don't think that NVX gets their ideas from Soundstream though. Possibly same build houses.
Jhesus.... I clamped my car audio system today - it pulled a peak of 46A before the lights inside started blinking, signalling that the voltage was noticeably dropping. It was also louder than I was able to stand it. That suggests real power draw was somewhere between 600W~660W. I suspect that the NVX XAD15 might be slightly more than I need... 🙂
I have their VAD 1000.1 Amp and it ran great for over two years pushes two 10” Kappas. It sounds amazing. Only got rid of it because I drank too much Koolaid and bought a Kicker 1200.1
@@marktardiff8030 Well I will save you a long story. But let’s be realistic two 10s of that caliber compared to one 8 is not fair. But holy shit that little things is a beast !!!
Love the videos man!! I’m always looking for something new every time I see videos like this the vultures always get out before me and normally I get the out of stock sign 😂😂
Thank you!!! These newbies find it hard to believe my 500 watt eclipse mono block, is hitting harder than their 3k taramp, but using a stock 100 amp alternator.
Dang. That is an awful lot of beans in a tiny package! Would have expected that battery to be a bit stiffer at that current. Might measure voltage drop across those between cell busbars? Still, pretty nasty power. And the amp wasn't that picky about 14.4. Definitely would melt most any car power system! Still can't get over how small that thing is... Fun vid. Thanks! I'm still getting those scopes ready to roll, BTW! Just been crazy at work and church tech.. Need a bit of unwind... Hang in there! Stu the crazed.
good short to the point video, seems like yet another bank upgrade is needed & since bigd spoiled us with his do it bump though segment NVX should hook you up with some subs for testing ... lol
Running one of these on two vcw12s at 1 ohm. I’m running 15.5v on 96ah spim and 340a alt. I have dual inputs with 500a fuses on each. Might get a 2nd one and run one per sub on my new setup.
Great review. I've noticed a couple times lately my sia 2500 has suddenly gotten really loud for a second while adjusting the bass knob. It's more amp than I need so I usually go between 1/4 & 1/2 (gain is properly set) I suspect it's the knob but wouldn't mind a second opinion before I order a new one
Hope people pay attention ....and do t just buy it because it did 5000plus.....you will need the electrical to run this amp at that power for very long at all ...most stock electrical won't handle this long .....or I guess you could get good at changing alternators.......lol because it will more than likely eat stock ones for breakfast and still won't make that kinda power ....but if you want put time in and do up the electrical it would be a beast ....and that's a small footprint for that powerful of an amp ...great review ....as always ...
Do you think a 400 amp alternator and a 100ah lto bank would handle two of those amps? And a lot of people are sleeping on nvx audio. I own two sets of their component speakers and a pair of their coaxial speakers, and they sound amazing.
I try to tell ppl if they have the sundown sfb bassknob with clip light it will work on these amps my sfb bassknob worked on my b2 riot 7500 and it worked on my nvx 3k it's nice having a clip light on bassknob
Robert, did you happen to keep the box the amp came in. I've been looking at an NVX amp, but do not want to give my money to China owned businesses or American owned businesses with Chinese build houses. I certainly don't mind giving my money to a company that has a Korean build house. It means a lot to me not to support communist countries. NVX says on their website that they're designed in America, but we both know that means diddly squat. I've emailed them 13 times and got no answer back. Sonic Electronics was no help either. I've downloaded a PDF of the manual, but as you can expect it says nowhere whether or not it was made in Korea or China. I figured last case scenario the box ought to say somewhere. As always love what you and Big D do. Thanks in advance.

@@HifiVega I don't think guys like us have limits..lol
NVX has proven to be a very reliable company. This small amplifier should be an installer’s dream.
NVX has been solid for me
Props to the brand they copied. NVX has a habit of using Soundstream stuff for their subs. I wonder who they copied for their amps.

i really like that conductor display, i have a victron smartshunt i'm going to use for my monitoring with their BT app.
I have wonder about that smart shunt myself
i’m looking forward to putting it and the remote temp sensor into action

Ya because it’s not. 😂
A taramp 3k can pull over 6k
Sorry, you’re little 500 can’t

Thanks homie
Yes these amps are amazing.i been selling lots if nvx audio product.just installed a 13k amp on 2 15s crossfire xt3 amazing power.
Does anyone know what frequency the bass boost is and is the bass knob just a gain volume or is it set to a frequency? thx.

I haven’t had enough hands on with those sia amps to say for sure m
Wish NVX would bring back the NVX XPLD3k Nice amp did rated just wasn't around very long.

Thanks for showing the inside of amp - now we know, that it's 100% copy of Apocalypse AAB 4900.1

@@HifiVega yea its cuz the boards are literally the same boards as the sundown sfb models
Hifivega (audiopipe f15000) or this nvx 5000 ?
I haven’t messed with that Audiopipe amp, but Audiopipe has been fairly solid in the past. So it’s up to price and personal preference imo
Their X series of amps look a lot like a sfb sundown amps
I still have had no problems with the nvx nba401 4ch amp I got for my mids
That thing is a beast! It’s huge too
It is reminds me of an old school amp as big as it is
My buddy clamps his around 2700-2800 on an Fi neo 18" in a real World scenario currently
Do these amps run hot? Bcz there small foot print and a lot of power does anyone know I would like to know?
In my testing it didn’t get hot, but since it’s not in a vehicle I couldn’t say definitively
Love it
Thanks!
Very nice

not all that efficent tho if its pulling almost 700 amps to make 5400 watts...
This one is power hungry for sure
👍

No real 5k has one power ground imput......
It’ll definitely do it’s power, but that’s the downside of these Brazilian style amps.
Very beefy amp..

Anything that uses that many amps is junk and not efficient
