You mentioned this dealer had a platinum 1518? Did you mean to say 1518 because I have only ever heard rumors of that watch existing. If it does exist I would say that it is very much in the running for the title of most important Patek ever made right up there with the 2499 in platinum and 1518 in stainless steel. Would love to hear you elaborate on this watch.

For THEE LIFE of me besides swiss made and good materials… ROLEXES are some the UGLIEST watches I’ve ever seen! I remember going into Walgreens as a kid and they would have a watch stand at the counter. It looked like a bunch of Rolexes. They were Timex, but wow are they ugly to me. Like NO change at all after all these years.
