Hell yeah. Last time I was in LA I was on a bit of a bender and ended up at this bar that had a thrift store attached. I"m from Atlanta, so all things 96 Olympics are collectors items to us, so I was beyond stoked to find 3 copies of Izzy CIB for $3 each. For the Sega Genesis, but still.
A bar in a thrift store. A thrift store in a bar. That is a unique combo. Are the items donated by patrons? It sounds like a friendly atmosphere. I like this game somewhat. It suffers from a bad physics engine that takes me out the experience. It does everything else well for a platformer: great graphics, fun bonus stages, hidden pickups, secret areas. The enemies could use some work, but they're OK.
Is the pickup & play as dated as the gfu? Izzy looks way more awesome, then possum. This probably fetches $35 or btr cib. Good score & I’m not talking pts - Ltr Shelf #BAGamer4Life ✌🏿
Yes, this was recorded soon after I picked it up, even prior to showing it on GFU. Sometimes I record PnP out of order. The Urban Reign PnP was recorded after Izzy even though I found it weeks prior. It's inconsistent how long it takes me to get to a game after finding it. I definitely didn't sell Izzy for $35. Prices must have shot up for that one recently like all other retro stuff. I just couldn't play a platformer with so much unpredictable slow-down. I'd like to play the Sega Genesis version to see if there is a difference. The graphics look great and full of life, though I'm not a fan of the design of the random enemies. They look like would fit in an old Fleischer cartoon. From the little I played, the levels are fun to explore, though the use- this-power-up-for-this-specific-location is lame. There's little originality. Kirby games are better with that. They make you feel like you are using his abilities to solve problems multiple ways. BAGAMER4LIFE
WhatsOnMyShelf so you sold Izzy 🤔... ahhhh, no matter. With that being said, I’d like to retract my “your collection” comment. There’s no telling whatsonyourshelf, nowadays 😜
