    Man, these Alpha Cool Core blocks are SUPER NICE! And the temps these produce are insane. Alpha cool did an amazing job, especially considering the price of these blocks is a fraction of EKWB.

    shouldn't you test your loop as a whole for leakage instead? if you going to test just the plate alone, why not test it before you attach it to the graphics card and save yourself time having to disassemble it if it was defective.

      absolutely right. But i didn´t show the whole process in the vid.. First I leak test the new part. After that I leak test the rest of the system.... And after installing the new part I make a final leak test for the whole system.
      Yes it´s kinda time consuming but with those steps I will know where a possible leak comes from without taking everything off again ;)

    I know this might not be related to the video, but i'm considering on replacing my 4090 strix thermal pads, and i was wondering if it's okay to use 1 mm thermal pads.
    I read the manual of this waterblock and it says that it uses 1mm and 3mm thermal pads.
    What do you think?

    How much room do you have in between card and mother board. Is there enough room to install a nvme pcie adaptor

    how thight should the screws around the die be? I got the block on my 4080 but my temps seem high and hot spot is around 20C higher than core temp

      I always use a screwdriver from EK with 0,6nm torque

    Why do you change the EK block with active backplate? Temps are better then the EK?

    • @DerVali
      @DerVali  9 месяцев назад

      Main Reason was that I like the Look of the Alphacool more. Yes its also cooler a few degrees than the EK but that doesn´t matter as both are good watercoolers. And the active backplate is technically not really necessary on a 4090

      @@DerVali i have a 4080 Amp Extreme and i would like to build a watercooling for the whole setup, the AC block is much cheaper than the EK, this is why I ask U. THX

      You doin nothing wrong with this watercooler if you like the design... At a test at Igors Lab it was the best performing Cooler when I remember correctly....
      Regarding the Cost for those Coolers... I am selling the EK block... I don´t know where you from but If you´re interested PM me
