Great video. Agree this movie and franchise is really underrated and one of my favourite 2010s Disney films. I really like the symbolism of Hiro trying to get revenge in honour of Tadashi, had him remove the chip he made for Baymax so was going directly against what he would've wanted. Same with how Callighan destroying the building is what made it harder to get his daughter back from inside the portal. The themes of Hiro's character arc is amazing and this movie deserves so much more praise over just the meme line.

Always have respect for people who stand firm in their movie opinions, even if they don’t align with the general consensus. Great video.

Nice to see a positive video on Big Hero 6. Even tho I only have it as a 6/10, I do still enjoy quite a bit and never see anyone discussing the positives to this movie.

So much excellent analysis her, but what you said about Baymax, that was right on the money. Sometimes consolation and being told it’ll be alright isn’t what people need. They just need someone to be there which is ultimately what matters the most.

Hot take, but I think Tadashi’s death was sadder than Mufasa’s. Don’t get me wrong, the latter’s death is still really sad, but I think Tadashi is just a bit more charming and admirable.
    RIP Tadashi! 2014-2014 💀🪦💔💐🧢

2 years ago I lost my grandma from her being sick she couldn’t live any longer and passed away looking back on this film I relate to the story of hero pushing others away anger towards the thing that caused it in a way I became almost like the villain of the film I was so angry at the fact this happened to me it felt everyone was able to adapt better than me i then realized that grief and losing a loved one is a painful thing but to never push those away it’s gonna we’ll soon be 3 years since her passing I miss you nuna

I agree! This movie is so underrated! It’s one of my Top 3 Favorite Animated Disney Movies! (Lion King is 2nd place and Little Mermaid is my favorite)

Thank you for the analysis, and I offer my condolences. I’m really glad I got to watch this video through Chris though. It helped me, so I’m glad he inspired you to make this. He must have been special

I feel like the reveal should've happened earlier so we could get more of Yokai and Callaghan's grief. If I recall correctly, we see a darker side of him in the manga.

Ultimately, I like the message this movie’s trying to portray about grief. But it really all falls apart when you’re supposed to contrast Hiro’s grief with losing a loved one with Callaghan’s, as he doesn’t feel like he’s grieving. Rather just behaving like a remorseless, destructive, one-dimensional monster.

Anger and grief can warp one’s mind and heart when they are consumed by it. He’s not one dimensional, no. Instead, he was so focused on his revenge plot and his grief for losing his daughter that he threw his morals away. This, unfortunately, can and does happen in real life.

    First!
Anyway, I loved this movie when I first saw it for my birthday, but now I think it’s just fine. Like, it has fun action scenes, beautiful animation, and of course, Baymax! ☺️☺️☺️🤖
