Alderaan was not the first test. Alderaan was what Tarkin decided should be the main demonstration of it's full power to the galaxy. They clearly MUST have tested it prior, or else they would look really stupid if it hadn't fired. Jedha will be first actual test, as we see in the trailer there is some massive damage happening to the planet, however it isn't being immediately blown to pieces either, so it's being tested at that time but not at full strength.

The Force Theme just hits me in the feels every time, when The Force Awakens came out, and they played it over the trailer, I cried my eyes out! My 11 year old daughter has her first Star Wars shirt and wears it with pride! Like a Jedi! Congrats, Aaron and Melanie, beautiful name!!! Much love, and may the force be with you!!

It was awesome to see Vader but I got chills when the Death Star eclipsed the sun and when the Tie Fighter ascended as she walked out onto the platform. The music score is even more gripping than usual. Cant wait!

When the stormtroopers are riding through town on their wheeled tank thing, there's a guy to the left with no head...that's been replaced by a weird robot frisbee head. Trip
'm excited to see X-Wings flying through terrestrial environments as in episode 7- that shot of the squad skimming the surface of the ocean was beautiful, now rainy canyons -- keep it up Disney!
Make a note of two details: the Death star being upside down with its laser pointed down at the desert planet, and the big explosion the U-wing is flying away from; maybe the Imperials test a laser of the Death Star, and it fails somewhat, only causing a minor planet explosion on the surface. Just a thought.
honestly you guys have so many great reactions, but you reacting to Star Wars is the best to watch because your so geeking/fanboying out that's wonderful to see! I have the same with Harry Potter related stuff, I'm a huge,huge fan of those
Saw the Star Wars trailer myself a few minutes ago. I was thinking the whole way through "God this music" and "Show me Vader!!!" Boom! Side note, next thought was..."Now watch BlindWave reaction".
This trailer was insane and it has made me fall in love with Star Wars all other again! So fucking excited. I would really like it if Kanan and the rest of the rebel squad from Star Wars Rebels showed up. I know that won't happen but hey I can dream can't I? ;) The ship at the beginning, which the two rebels got in looked to me like a very early design of an X-wing. P.S. I would love for there to be a Boba Fett origins movie! and DARTH VADER! Great reaction as always guys and congrats again to Aaron and Melanie on the birth of their beautiful baby daughter :)
I LOVE the gifts you send the guys. Thanks for supporting them when some of us can't. I will spoil it for you about the ship because I've already seen the Lego set for it. It's called a U-Wing and it's wings go from forward position to the side then also fold down about 30 degrees. Very excited for this movie and then the Lego sets coming out afterwards. Cheers!

The U-Wing looks like a mixture of the X-Wing quad engines, the Snowspeeder cockpit and the wings from a Headhunter, but movable.

@1:42 Shane was right. It's a new ship called a U-Wing. Those forward facing wings are for when it lands, but normally the wings switchback to the sides and fold down a bit, around 30 degrees. I've seen the Lego set based on it, so 100% sure of this. Nice call Shane! Be looking out for my first gift(s) from a new fan and subscriber.

The Death Star can't be upside down or right side up because it's in space and it's gravitation field is it's own (plus it's spherical).
I like this kind of thing because it's like sitting in your lounge room and just "talking the talk."
@2:35, that is not an AT-AT. It is an AT-ACT (All terrain armored cargo transport. You can tell by the yellow in its side

That droid reminds me of the HK models from the old republic. Specially the turned one in KOTOR 1, HK 51. They sure seem to have a similar peronality, and he was awesome badass and hillarious

- That means that Bail Organa must have played an important role during that phase of the rebellion. That explains his cameo in Rogue One.
For the music , it's Alexandre Desplat , a very good compositor.
Actually they never say in A New Hope if the firing of the Death Star is the first time it's been used. In Jedi when the Emperor says they may fire when ready is the first time that one was fired. I think they already know the first Death Star works by the time A New Hope starts.
Really dug the trailer. It wasn't mind blowing, but the cinematography and music were fantastic.
My reaction included stating out loud "Eric's gonna love that Space-Light!"
i literally watched 12 seconds of this video and u guys already seem like funny ppl,, u guys are gnna be something big, callin it.
They need to do a scene with Vader mowing down a bunch of Bothan spies with his lightsaber, ala Anakin murdering the children in the Jedi temple, just to justify the line about how many Bothan spies died to bring us this information.
I watched this trailer and then came straight here just to see how you guys reacted to Vader. Glad I wasn't disappointed, brilliant! 👍🏻😊
This is Star Wars at peak. Just enough of badass vader with little bit of prequal movies connection along with the OG movies and the perfect movie score and a good female hero script.

It should end with a scene where the last person alive of the group puts the plans in Leia's (Fisher de-aged) hand. Then dies. Then Leia puts her hair up in two ridiculous buns as a mark of respect to the fallen heroine who brought her the plans.

the death star is no where near the size of the moon . the first death star is more like 100 kilometers across and the star destroyers are about a mile in length

Hey BLIND WAVE, I have watched many reactions to Rogue One trailers and nobody has mentioned the fact that the main character, Jyn Erso is basically a EU ( hate to call it legends) character, namely Jan Ors from the Jedi Knight Games ( they didnt even change the name that much). It was her, in the original EU, who stole the plans with Kyle Katarn. Maybe you could talk about them a little more and if we get to see him in the movie. He saves Jan in the EU after she gets caught by the Empire and defects from the imperial academy for her. PS: Love your vids, keep up the good work!

Would you guys like to speculate if we will see a young princess Leia receiving the death stars plans and might we see the emperor? I'd like to see Donnie Yen in episode 8 as a jedi reforming the jedi council. Do you think we will see mace windu in episode 8 also? Is Ben Mendelson playing someone named Cronick?
Donnie Yen seems to have some Force ability (probably to "see" in a different way). I think he may end up trying to fight off Vader while the others escape.
Also, I think the Death Star will fire, just to test the weapon. Gareth Edwards did say at Celebration they had cast Rian Johnson as a cameo part of the trooper who stands next to the beam firing chamber and has to shield his eyes when it fires. So presumably that means it does fire at one point in the movie

Seems like a Force 10 From Naverone in the star wars universe, and that is not a bad thing. I love the idea of a war movie taking place in the star wars universe.

The scene where it looks like a massive storm that she's looking out of before they go to Hyperspeed is probably the blast of the Death Star trying to stop them.

I think it will be the same actor but with CGI effects on him to make him look younger because he's obviously got older.
We saw in the reel the same actor playing him in the background to the side of a camera. So he will be in the movie for a scene or two or in a deleted one at least

Guys, have you seen the slightly different made Japanese trailer? It mentions Jyn's father
herd the planet donnie yen is on is jedha and was an important planet for the jedi it's like a pilgrimage now. It's said the crystals that go into light sabers are on that planet now occupied by the empire rumour is they want the huge crystals to power up the death star.
