One other thing worth talking about in terms of graphics. It's something I'm not sure I would have noticed had I not been playing Arizona Sunshine 2 just before this came out. It's a subtle enhancement but one I really appreciate, they seem to have added better facial detail and animations for the zombies(along with some new zombie models), the way their bodies move and their faces snarl is overall improved in this remake vs 2. It makes the zombies just that much more fun to engage with, which is awesome since that is the main thing these games have to offer. 😅 They didn't settle for just redoing the first game with the second games features. I wonder if they can back patch these enhancements to 2. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere, but it stood out to me immediately playing the games back to back, so I thought I'd comment.

This game is fantastic, looks way better on pc vr if you have one. The only thing that I agree is bad is the sniper scope but it's only 2 or 3 times during the whole game. Another thing is that the difficultly is really not well balanced, sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's almost impossible hard. Overall it's a great game, I absolutely love hearing the voice of the guy talking, don't miss it.
Folk on Steam keep saying the hands are too small.. like a woman's or something. The only thing I HATE about AS2 is at one point I backed up in an area where the only exit was in front. And behind you was just a wall. The devs made zombies spawn behind you where there was no way they could of been. It's like they teleported in. So cheap and plain unfair.
Bought this game for the third time, glad it was only 10 dollars this time 😅 I really enjoyed being back in this, gun mechanics makes it worth it. And dare I say it's a better game than the sequel now ?🙃
@Jason2004 Hmm.. maybe I'm biased because Arizona Sunshine was one of the first zombie experiences I ever had in VR way back when everything was tethered 😄 I think the pacing might be better, and the mine-level still holds up as a quite scary part of the game. I don't remember many completely dark levels in the Sequel. Also having the excellent gun mechanics implemented in the first one justifies the price I my opinion. Also dlc included which I never got to play to begin with.
I’m a huge Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies fan. I found a way to pick it up in VR through Contractors. Is this game better than that, you think? I’ve been iffy about pulling the trigger on Arizona Sunshine because I didn’t figure it would be quite as fun
Why not cover the PCVR version? Im not interested in potato standalone if I can at all help it. Dont get me wrong Im all for native exclusives like Batman, I;ll play it,. but I aint picking standalone when theres a Steam version.

Your username is apt 😂. It's pretty bloody good for standalone VR and plenty immersive enough. This is primarily a Quest review channel, so we're aware of the limitations and blessings of the hardware.
It looks excellent on Quest. It would be boring, pointless and dumb for us to constantly point out that PSVR and PC are more powerful than the Quest - they're different formats and both hugely more expensive than the standalone Quest. If you have the PSVR2 version and are happy with it, then bully for you, but this is primarily a Quest review channel and we are well aware of the pros and cons of each format.
@docneale7534 Exactly. Standalone hardware vs a console with foviated rendering. It has the luxury of being untethered. Whenever I play a game on the Q3 I never use the thumbstick to turn. I always physically turn. Imagine doing that with a cable attached to your head. I'll await a PS5 owner to tell me that that's not the case as they have a cable pulley attached to their ceiling. Great! I guess you can just move that from room to room whenever you feel like it too.
@docneale7534 many channels do comparisons. In my opinion it wasn't the hardware it looked more like the effort. Don't be so sensitive. At some point I'll own both because I recognize the value of each. I just thought it was going to look better.

story mode is playable but it's not playable due to frame drop above adventure mode. pretty ugly and annoying. PSVR2 has no such frame drop at all. render quality is much higher on PS5.
BIG thanks to the devs for giving us an upgrade path for only $10 with all the DLC.

This game is fantastic, looks way better on pc vr if you have one.

I should have mentioned in the review that there are a couple of points when zombies visibly spawn in, and it's pretty cheap and unfair.
Can anyone tell me what the small clipboards are for ? How about the little yellow rubber ducks ?
Clipboards? Nothing. You get an achievement for collecting all the ducks in the game.

It's perfectly playable. It's obviously going to have higher render quality on more powerful hardware but the Quest version is great.
I didn't notice any frame drop on my recent Q3 playthrough. May have been there, I just didn't notice it.
I have two Q3 and all of them showed significant frame drop with a bunch of Freddies. PSVR2 showed no drop.
