Nic cage. The enigma. The man who can be nuanced and brilliant in films like Matchstick Men and Joe, but can still go full Ghost Rider and Face Off on everyone. In Cage, we trust, and fear.
I've got the running theory Dodger got preggers secretly while Sam was in some VR delusion. He still is in it, he hasn't taken the goggles off in months.
This encapsulates something my economics teacher told us at the start of the semester: "You'll find that the people that have a stable networth in the millions usually have a rather conservative lifestyle while those that live like you imagine millionaires are more often than not in debt."
Well, suppose the IRS are storming your castle, so you escape through the escape tunnel. Where are you hgoing to go? To your second castle. And when they storm that castle? You go back to the first one. The escape tunnel really just goes between the castles. Which is why he got 2 cobras, they are each guarding the entrance to the tunnel from either side.
At this point, I wouldn't put it past Nic Cage to start his own micro-nation, recruit his fans to don weapons and suits of armour, and fight and die for his amusement.
Alright, this is it, people. Think for a second what this implies. He has a pair of white cobras that guard him. He has a Crocodile and a shark. He owns a haunted house. He owns skulls and shrunken heads. He has a private island, more than one castle and plenty of hideouts. Put these things together and what do you get? A freaking super-villain, that's what. I think he told the story on both, but for Simpsons I think he talked about it in the Lisa the Skeptic episode, 'cause that was one he wrote about fossils.
Additional detail to this story: Upon later returning to the auction house and talking with people who worked there, one of the staff told Mr. Cohen that Nicolas Cage totally overpaid for said trilobites. So that's fun. Money is no object when you're Nicolas Cage.
Don't know if someone else in the comments has mentioned this, but if you go on a New Orleans ghost tour that passes by the Lalaurie House (which I'm pretty sure is the "Haunted House" mentioned here) you'll learn that Nick Cage specifically commissioned that pyramid tombstone because he got spooked by the paranormal activity in the mansion and hired a local psychic who told him he had to plan to be buried in a specific cemetery in New Orleans to get the ghosts to leave him alone (because this is apparently something the ghosts cared about?) This involved evicting the remains of many of the persons already buried there to make room for him (the remains were returned to living kin, at least,) and he apparently only stays at said house when he wants to throw crazy parties and leaves it empty for most of the year.
this really explains why Mom And Dad is happening and I'm very ok with that because I can't get enough Cage action and the magnificent way he chews scenery
The animation on Nic decimating someone with money is absolutely beautiful. I will live and die knowing I’ll never be able to animate something as hilarious as that.
my partner used to work at a hobby store here in Vegas, and Nic Cage occasionally would come in and just blandly follow his wife and kid around the shop, looking absolutely miserable.
I discovered and began watching your podcast today... This was the one random episode I picked. Then I got home and stumbled across this channel, not knowing what to expect. There are only two possibilities. You made this channel today for me, or I am omniscient. Shazam!
Watched Dan do animation for this on his streams and now I feel like I can appreciate these vids on a whole new level, 'cause I now know how much work and time Dan puts into making these hilarious goofs :D
That opening segment had me laughing so hard I started coughing badly and brought back my asthma. I'll suffer through the annoyance of it because that was way too good and took me by surprise.
I had to pause the video because I was almost killing myself with laughter. Out of all the stuff he bought, apparently I draw the line at "Two European Castles" because that's where I almost died with laughter at how ridiculous it is.
It takes some genuine animation talent to fit Nic Cage's IRL face in a hand-drawn animation and not have it look the slightest bit out of place.
It's just the magic of Nic.
well, Nic Cage is already a cartoon

Oh God, Jesse finally did it. He murdered Dodger for her 2 TVs
And poor Sam is forever stuck in VRChat.
You make being stuck in VRChat sound like a bad thing! Sam especially would be extremely happy in there forever XD
When animated worlds collide
He didn't kill her for two TVs, he killed her for two computer monitors.
Your not a true fan if u don’t know this one
Even as he died, Sam was still wearing his VR headset.

RIP Sam, he died as he lived, in the virtual world.

At an auction, Nic Cage outbid David X. Cohen, co-creator of Futurama on a Trilobite that he really wanted.
Was this mentioned on an Audio Commentary of Futurama or the Simpsons?

Sam being in the vr headset got a chuckle out of me. I love the little details in your animations
3:00 I love how Jessie points at Crendor emotionless and he leaves right away.
I'm a simple man.
I see a new Cox and Crendor animation, I put it in my favorites.
2ShyShy or important videos
I could say the same thing a couple years ago, too bad the new ones suck.
2ShyShy -Says is man. -Has pink pony image. -Considering FBI
2ShyShy I’m sorry, it’s just your profile pic and username keep me from liking
Rainbow dash is best pony, but Fluttershy is a close second. I approve of that profile picture
I love the subtle boom mic at 3:30. Just one fo the great touches Dan puts in!
Saving that clip of Jesse saying "Why, Nick, why?" for when I make stupid decisions.
It's been years and I still can't get over the part where Jesse is a ghost bursting out of the haunted house, that's pure gold right there
Strippen with the VR headset on. Perfect

As always Daniel, superb work
Nicolas Cage is what children think rich people are like
I really appreciate the amount of effort it took to find and utilize all those Nic Cage reaction headshots.
So does Dan have a file full of Nic Cage headshots.
You mean you don't?
Mrkabrat aggghh shit u stole my comment XD
All that leads to the conclusion that, Nicholas Cage is in fact, an 80's supervillian.
I've been dying for another Cox and crendor animated! I enjoy them so much!!!!! And this recent one was one of the best
It's actually fantastic to see how many Nic Cage faces can be put in one video, and each of them looks as crazy as the next one.
The animation on this feels particularly more fluid and visually pleasing than normal. Keep up the good work Dan!
I think Dan really stepped up his game on this one. This was perfect
daniel taniel back at it AGAIN
Sharkyyy & Cage, the crime fighters of the sea !!! (Kudos if you got the reference)
Every time I watch one of these I end watching them all and I am very okay with this.
For all that is holy on this great green earth please please keep doing these I watch them all the time they make my life so much better
After four years I still come back to this video it’s a master pice with a hell of a story
One thing Nic Cage can never buy? How awesome Jesse, Crendor, and Dan are.
DAREAL1LEGEND278 no if he makes another national treasure he can buy all three.
Jesse would sell himself to Nic Cage. Let’s not kid ourselves.
That was 4 minutes of...just wonderful animation. I can't dress it enough, but I'm glad I'm still a fan.
I mean how much more clothes could there be?
My sides died at the intro and then ascended after everything else.

Holy crap, the creativity of the animation increases exponentially each episode.
Ah, I see its that time again..To rewatch them all
The Nic Cage head editing is very impressive.
But the real question is:
IS. HE. FLORIDA. MAN.
He is Florida man Prime
Or America man
Get me pictures of Florida Man!
This is quite possibly the best Cox n' Crendor animation yet.
Listening to the episode, I knew this would get animated. Love it as always
This was the Cox n Credor comeback I was waiting for.
Nickcage pretty much owns everything now!

I definitely think this is my favorite Cox and Crendor yet! You did a wonderful job Dan making it perfection (like those nick cage star fish pasties)
Happy to see these things stay with the 2 month schedule
Nic Cage has forgotten what reality is, his real life has become a movie that he's just improvising one day at a time
A four minute episode, we are truly blessed lol awesome job Dan, thanks for all the work/time you put into these
