Dude the majority of all Nissan Skyline r34 GTRs are the late 90s early 2000s grey import "MotoRex" cars that were imported as "facelift" or "new model r33 GTRs" in to the country. After the whole MotoRex scandal all the car owners were allowed from the U.S. government to keep them because they "didn't know" that the car were illegally imported (some actually didn't know and thought that their vehicles were legalized for U.S. roads, but some owners knew and didn't give a F...) same applies for the r34 GTRs...

Dude. R33 that was crushed that car was for sale at a place called Denny Dotson in Johnstown Ohio back in like 06 or something like that I remember seeing it for sale in their site and thinking oh my God I'd love to have that car
I just wish there was a better place to buy unique part options for cars from Japan... I'd love some power folding mirrors for my Supercharged AW11 here in the states but nobody seems to bring over many parts or can find you parts that aren't price gouging for the sake of price gouging.
But there is a way to do it... Pull the drive train pull the trans, power plant, body panels, then you just transplant it all into a “kit car” it’s now legal guys have done it for years it’s a pain in the ass but it won’t get crushed
People love to make videos on this topic for views. You are right, R34's are completely illegal in the US. But what you all fail to understand is that it doesn't matter. If you have enough money you can swap vin's with legal cars, label them kit car's, wash titles, place them under dealer display and run with dealer temp tag under the business umbrella. All kind of ways to "grey area' them. But it's expensive and it's still a risk. It is a crime, sure. Do these people get caught, NO. Motorex got a bad rap because they went thru the process of making cars compliant with US standards and they used that one model car that passed to bring in a bunch of different models and call it good. The R34 has like 15 models alone, so you need to crash test each one, than leave them stock. They didnt do that and they got caught. Now its even easier with R32's being legal. A guy can buy an R34 in Japan, swap it with all R32 vin and paperwork and import it. If it all matches you are good. Total r32's get crushed over there with no vin plates or stickers! Money can buy you that paper trail. And technically, it "legal". You or some other Gran Turismo boy knows its a R34, but you can't prove it is. body panels can be changed, sub frames can be swapped. And its only getting easier. Problem now you could get an R34 for under 100k for a while now they are north of that and will continue to go up. The government cares about one thing, import tax. If you pay you can play.
@@Ricky2o9 technically San Francisco has the best weed in the states.... facts it is compared to Canadian standards........California got some alright good 8/10
Makes no sense for the 25 year old rule. We should be able to import any car we want. Depending on its original crash test safety results, maybe just be required to pay extra on insurance or even a special additional insurance coverage
Well in the state of Ohio if the car was imported with the drivetrain removed it can be imported as parts through u.s customs then reassembled and titled as a kit car... or at least it was, not sure if that’s been changed or not.
Mike Lott that’s the loophole a lot of these guys try. But it’s not a kit car it’s a manufactured car. And the law can still go after it. Kaizo tried this method with R34’s years ago. Some slip through the cracks.
Do you know anyone in Japan that'd be interested in importing salvaged or poor condition vehicles? I have been restoring cars for 19 years, there's definitely a market for affordable imports

I'm originally from the UK I owned a r33 such a nice car to drive .anyways the u.s is the only country wot has the 25 yr rule the rest of the world is 15 yrs. I was so sad to find this out which means I could not buy another r33 also it's to do with Mercedes losing money on people importing there cars from Europe which are so much cheaper then the u.s any car like Mercedes.BMW.Volvo. are half the price in Europe .
Honestly since I don't follow adamlz much, I had no idea that he even had an r34 gtr. I don't think what Sean did was calling anyone out. Florida is such a lawless land that I can sit here and make a statement like "That youtuber in Florida with the evo 5 is illegal" and I don't even know of anyone with an evo 5 but that statement is probably correct. Already there are people asking on how to import cars in Florida and the general population says they shouldn't, but if they want to then by all means they can go for it. Boat load of cars 🤔weird way to explain it...
I think Sean has every right to say what he said. These people importing cars ILLEGALLY hurt the businesses of LEGAL importers such as Top Rank.
How does some guy in FL buying a car that Sean won’t sell affect his business?
YourCarBro Because selling Legal imported cars is Literally his "business"
If anyone from the states is interested in buying my 1999 GTR34 V-Spec hit me up in 2025 because by that time their won't be any left in Japan. Still that 25 year old rule sux for you guys over in the U.S. I have a suggestion all the JDM guys should get together from all over the states and protest your rights to have this rule changed..... Even if it means you guys have to demolish the country just to get your JDM cars into the country without any 25 year old bullshit rule. Greetings from Sydney Australia.
I think the real issue is people selling them as if they are federally legal and the buyer not knowing that isn't the case.
Well yea that would definitely be a big problem if that is happening.
YourCarBro What else do you think is happening with all of the illegal cars being imported? 😒 Dont support that shit.
OMG this East Coast West Coast rivalry has to stop. First it was Biggy and Tupac, now it’s come to this.... what is the world coming to...
There legal in Canada & you can have it shipped there & register it there if you get address & drive it here legally.
That 33 didn’t deserve that 😞
OMG 8:45 is like a real nightmare seeing that
Thank you for this video! This better explains the rule I've heard different things about importing into states and I'm with you who cares if has nothing to do with you mind your business it's someone elses money, the guy from top rank is a jerk plain and simple. Keep up the good work!
Glad I could help!
Dude the majority of all Nissan Skyline r34 GTRs are the late 90s early 2000s grey import "MotoRex" cars that were imported as "facelift" or "new model r33 GTRs" in to the country. After the whole MotoRex scandal all the car owners were allowed from the U.S. government to keep them because they "didn't know" that the car were illegally imported (some actually didn't know and thought that their vehicles were legalized for U.S. roads, but some owners knew and didn't give a F...) same applies for the r34 GTRs...
just found your channel am waiting for 2024 for the s15
Great video!!
Well spoken! Thanks man!
Adam has 4 fed illegal cars: R34, 2 Jzx100, Evo.
The 2 jzx100s and Evo at legal
iDynamiiic nope they arent legal do your research
I suppose I can be glad I like vintage stuff a lot, too. :) (Also I actually checked, regarding cars and coffee. Yeah, an hour and a half give or take wouldn't be too ridiculous, assuming I get a couple things taken care of on my daily, finally. :)
Going to make it out maybe?
@@YourCarBro Well, if it'll incentivize me to make time to replace these old tie rods and otherwise tend to my own car for a change, I'll intend to try. :)
It’s fucking stupid that we can’t have R34 Skyline GTR’s!!!! Like seriously, there are worst things the States need to worry about 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
I've been throwing ideas back-n-forth with a savvy business friend, contemplating opening a storage facility here in Canada for imports waiting to enter the US.
Hey I'm in the states and have been looking into that since you only have a 15 years rule. Email me if you find a facility and need another partner aaronmosessmith@gmail.com
You can have the cars stored inside the USA but there are a lot of stipulations that go along with doing so. It is not something a private citizen can do, but there are companies that already provide this service.
@ Mo Smith - will do.
@ Mr. X - that's the whole idea, anyone can store an imported car (waiting to go to the USA) in Canada...
Irony: omoshiros Evo 6 that is stock and kind of beat (I drove it)is probably worth more than my 700 HP Evo x. What a time to be alive. It's almost as sad that I'd almost trade for it.
8:30 WHO DOES THAT :(
Me laughing at Adam cus they are going after him knowing I have a r33 and a r34 in the garage 🤣🤣
I love living in Canada.....🇨🇦 best Budz to smoke and 15 year rule HAAAAAAAAAN.......
fair play
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cali has the best tree. Everyone knows that lmaoo
@@Ricky2o9 technically San Francisco has the best weed in the states.... facts it is compared to Canadian standards........California got some alright good 8/10
@@Ricky2o9 no no no......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🇨🇦 Oh Canada......
I hate how Canada has the 15 year old rule smh and USA has the 25 year old rule
Makes no sense for the 25 year old rule. We should be able to import any car we want. Depending on its original crash test safety results, maybe just be required to pay extra on insurance or even a special additional insurance coverage
In my country, you cant import a car if its 3years old.
Example.
I bought a 2015 GTR and I cannot import to my country :/
Akio_ 2003 what how does a 16 year old own an r35 gtr
Plenty of hot r34 on the road no one cares if u get a title or not😂😂 there out here for sure
jesus saves cars s Yea, owned by scumbags commiting a federal crime 💁🏻♂️
Tom Kaos [Official] ok officer Tom kaos nice name by the way u must be a Democrat🤦♂️🙌🏼😂 libtard
NuR specII are import legal, but 120k minimum for high high milage
Nope, only the MSpec Nur
i always thought the Vspec 2 nur was legal am i wrong didnt motor rex crash test one?
Wrong. The R34 is popular because it's a beautiful machine.
How much is storage for r34 gtt?
Do you know anyone in Japan that'd be interested in importing salvaged or poor condition vehicles? I have been restoring cars for 19 years, there's definitely a market for affordable imports
It’s like weed in California,NY & Colorado, it’s state legal but not federal 🤷🏻♂️
Can you ship a car to Canada early and store it there until 25yr rule?
Yes
Top rank out here charging 50+ for an r33
That’s why you don’t buy anything from Top rank
That the going price for them. Top Rank isn’t the only importer charging $50k for a R33 GTR. Do your research before commenting.
Top rank employee ^^^
I’ll buy mines from trap life
Jay Bo not even close. 1. I live in Indiana. 2. Google is simple to use.
50plus might seem expensive now. Will seem cheap if you look back in a couple years.
And here's the conversation between Sean & Craig, for anyone interested (starts at 25 minutes)... ruclips.net/video/LyU6iE8Gm5c/видео.html
Sean previously mentions that "someone in Florida has an R34 with plates on it registered to an R35 Skyline"... Not sure if he's talking about the same person.
why cant u get cars that were sold in the us that aren't 25 years like a mk4 supra or rsti?
Y'all lucky in the USA you can import a car that's 25years and older where I'm from in Trinidad we can't even import a car over 4 years old and get is registered "legally"
8:27 if you want your dreams crushed
I'm originally from the UK I owned a r33 such a nice car to drive .anyways the u.s is the only country wot has the 25 yr rule the rest of the world is 15 yrs. I was so sad to find this out which means I could not buy another r33 also it's to do with Mercedes losing money on people importing there cars from Europe which are so much cheaper then the u.s any car like Mercedes.BMW.Volvo. are half the price in Europe .
If I import a 1989 R32 GTR with a replacement RB26 engine from a 1991 GTR, would that R32 GTR be US-road legal?
Honestly since I don't follow adamlz much, I had no idea that he even had an r34 gtr. I don't think what Sean did was calling anyone out. Florida is such a lawless land that I can sit here and make a statement like "That youtuber in Florida with the evo 5 is illegal" and I don't even know of anyone with an evo 5 but that statement is probably correct. Already there are people asking on how to import cars in Florida and the general population says they shouldn't, but if they want to then by all means they can go for it.
If anything, the only reason I found out he was talking about adamlz is because of other youtubers lmfao.
You look super comfy and the Delica would feel cool with the glass roof =D
Join some of the other Skyline pages if you haven't yet. Sean knew exactly what he was doing.
Oh and the Delica is SUPER comfy haha
@@YourCarBro I try not to get into drama but thought to throw my two cents in. I'm just happy some real information is getting around on the import process. I'm tired of seeing these half-baked videos on "HoW To ImpORt a SkyLInE To tHE USA" from guys that have never even seen a port before. Do you think 2 people could comfortably sleep in the Delica? Like by putting seats down or something? Seems perfect for that.
I definitely plan to do a camping trip in the Delica. I think it can handle it well.
The United States US Customs Department is in Jacksonville Florida.
They do allow r34 skylines in Florida. Florida is a r34 skyline friendly state.
You are not correct. These cars are not declared to customs if they are in containers or they come in by other means.
Lmao everyone bouta wrap their 34s in midnight purple
Who's the big youtuber?
A least you can after 25 years. In here( Czech Republic ) We cant import cars that are 8 years or older. And if you want legally import car thats not been registered in EU before it must be 8 years or younger...or 30 years or older BUT thats must be put on veteran plates(cheaper insurance but you cant drive it normaly...)
But same as your "Canada" trick...we have other countries too :-D
My neighbor has an r33
About how much would a decent S14 that is automatic cost?
i dont have a problem waiting 5 years lmao its not that serious
Actually man, I know WHY Sean Morris does what he does, and actually, you should be more on his side too. it's for the GOOD of ALL GTRs to strongly discourage "smuggled" illegal vehicles. Think about it, these are FINITE, and Every*** car that comes through illegally is ONE LESS CAR - with LEGAL potential AND potential to be seized and crushed, which is an enormous disservice to the ENTIRE quantity of very limited examples we can all enjoy.
So if its imported as show and desplay after 25 years past can you drive it everyday
re-read what you just said.
Joshua JDG if i import the car right now as show and display when the car becomes 25 years old can i drive it legally every day or will it stay as show and display for ever is what i meant to say
@@exgremory3387 I've wondered that as well.
@@exgremory3387 Once the car is 25 years old, they are no longer bound to the insurance, and mileage requirements of Show or Display. Is that the answer to your question?
Looks like today is NOT gonna finally be the day that I don't see an argument about importing R34s. Man, idk what the deal is this last 2-3 weeks, but E V E R Y time I log into social media there is a huge thread about the import laws, and tons of armchair experts.. at least you seem to legitimately know your shit
damn another video about adam lz
I physically couldn’t watch that R33 get crushed. I don’t care that it was a GTT or GTST and not a GTR, my god that hurt my soul.
I'm sorry to say this, but it was a real GT-R that was imported by Motorex...
Even tho it was a GTST it still hurt to watch......again......lol
I do want a R34 but at the same time I do want to import it legally and anyways with the 25 year rule it’s going to be legal soon
By the time it's legal it's price will become even higher
Can I import a r33 LM to the U.S.
I think those 2 guys act like the Jdm police cause they’ve been there since the start, let people do what they want
Saggy Dorito Its called simple laws dumbass. Once these Rare (to U.S.) cars are imported illegally... they will always be illegal. Fuck supporting that trash.
good, those vehicle should all get the crusher treatment
Adam LZ is a cool guy I don't understand why clown ass Sean is trying to get LZ's r34 crushed
Sean is after the importer for Adam. Trap team.
Goats r cool Because some of us arent douchebags trying to impress 12 year olds on youtube to make a living 💁🏻♂️ Some of us want Legal skylines.. without the worry of the possibility of it being ILLEGAL from a former scumbag seller.
