your videos are so helpful fretjam! thank you for sharing tremendously valuable information! you always explain things in great detail😃 thank You very much sir!
Ah! My guy, that's the answer I was looking for. I was learning the second guitar solo to "Cowboy Song" by Thin Lizzy and there is a section where he utilizes unison bends and I kept getting noise from the string when I let go of it. I never played this kind of rock guitar so I really didn't have a good grasp of the technique. Never thought to move my index finger up just a bit and letting it mute the string I bend when I let go. Thank you so much.
I've got a good dslr camera for sale if you're interested mate. Over 16 megapixel plus records movies in 1080 full hd. Just recently had a brand new sensor worth over £200 fitted. Lemme know if you're interested before I put it on ebay.
Can you fly to the US and give me private lessons? *lol* I finally figured out that the few teachers I've had, *SUCKED.* I remember asking one teacher which scales I should learn, and he said, "Don't worry about scales, just learn the songs." *DOH.* I first picked up the guitar at (12), and that was long before the Internet, and for a l-o-n-g time, I knew little more than the Pentatonic/Blues scales, and I was one of those guys that was mostly guessing at notes if I went out of the first position of the scales. I've been so frustrated with not being able to progress, that I've given up many times. I don't know how it took me so long to run across your channel, but I'm glad I finally did. I've learned more from you in less than (24) hours than I have in far too long, using other methods (literally). You've got 132k subscribers, but there's another guy that has ~750k, and all he does is show how to play songs, and oftentimes, not even the complete song. I want to understand *why* something works, the theory behind the song, how I can construct my own progressions and solos, as well as the techniques, and you teach what needs to be taught to become a well-rounded guitar player/thinker. *THANK YOU.*
Thanks mate, that means a lot. To be honest, I never thought I would reach over 100k subs with such a specific lesson format. So just thrilled that I've been able to help people enough to get to that. More on the way. Stay tuned as they used to say.
Your outro song is beautiful, please do a lesson on it 😂, or create second channel called outro licks or smth where you will put your ideas/improvisations.
Holy.ridiculously low action and string tension. I could never play that way. I prefer to have a little resistance to dig.in to the strings. but everyone is different
Your lessons still the best out there.
Yes Absolut
I love the view you show of the guitar, it's the same as what I would see looking at my guitar, clever.
Thanks for the effort you put into this lesson.
your videos are so helpful fretjam! thank you for sharing tremendously valuable information! you always explain things in great detail😃 thank You very much sir!
Wow that outro song was beautiful, those unison bends were placed so perfectly.
One of best graphics and guitar theory instructor I've seen on the tube.

This simple tip is exactly what I’ve been missing.
WOW. Surprised to see video on a fretjam video!
:) Yep it's quite a rarity. Lead technique lessons need real demonstrations. I could do with Santa bringing me a better camera for Xmas though...

Interesting idea re: second channel! Did you notice the unison bends in that solo?
@fretjam
Yea, very cool and with a loot of feeling i love it!
Thanks! Appreciate your comments.
WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE FRET 7 ? WHAT KEY? WHAT CHORDS WOULD THE BAND BE PLAYING?
The key of B. Don't worry so much about the specific fret example used in this lesson - the patterns are movable.
Holy.ridiculously low action and string tension. I could never play that way. I prefer to have a little resistance to dig.in to the strings. but everyone is different
I do have a low-ish action, a touch over 2mm at the 12th fret, 6th string.
Not very astutely related
