2:35 the reason why the zombies are jumping is cuz in terraria when you fall off the platforms enemies will fall with except slimes so the reason this happened simply was that you were on lower layer than the work benchs which made the zombies fall off the platform (work bench) and due to their ai they jumped all the way through so the solution is just not to dig down

I'm glad you didn't opt for the King Slime Dryad strat in the end because defeating King Slime actually doesn't make her spawn, you have to kill Eye of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, Brain of Cthulhu, or Skeletron to make her move in.
TBH, seeing all these losses was kinda more interesting than just a simple "Here was my successful attempt" video. Like yeah, sucks you couldn't win, but this is actually honest.

If he was gonna lie about the challenge, why would he admit he couldn't beat it at the end? That gets no attention. More likely, some NPCs died, and because it's Hardcore Mode, tombstones spawned.

Putting fishing trash (like seaweed) into an extractinator can give you bait, which can be used to fish more trash, so making a seperate pond for trash at the start is a good strat
The reason you died at the beginning was because the zombies followed your character while you were escaping the demon eye. You went down and so did the zombies meaning they could jump up to the next platform which rendered your trap useless. Good content though.
some things that could be game changing for this: The mix of Dirt bombs, and Actuators wiring. there's also, and actuator rod. You could use it to make doors, and what not, grappling hooks, ice rod, dirt rod, sand gun, rod of discord. there's many ways to beat this
summoning weapons, and all accesories that give you the ability to dodge. Armor doesn't matter at all, so boosting your mobility, and ability to dodge is key
fun fact you do not need to place any blocks to make infinite water, just turn on auto placement by hitting CTRL and then place your curser above your head and hold down the mouse button. the water will both fall and go back in the bucket. Only works for water not other liquids.
Hey this is a small tip but if you dont know already, dirt bombs can create more dirt than they need to craft. Also Dryad needs other bosses than king slime, like eye of cthulu or the world evil bosses.

Zombie table trick only works if you are higher than the table. once you get lower they drop down as if they are on a platform, and sionce they are now on the ground they arent on the table so they can jump again.
Tip: You can use the left mouse button to place blocks. Just open your inventory with the escape key located at the top-left of your keyboard, and then drag your mouse across a solid surface to move your mouse cursor to a block of your choice (I prefer dirt!) and press the left mouse button to pick that block. Then just move your mouse cursor to a spot within a few blocks of your character that is adjacent to another surface (Such as another block or a background tile!) and press the left mouse button again to place a block there. Hope this helps!
Yeah, zombies will immediately drop down crafting tables and platforms once you’re below them. It’s actually kinda useful. When I have zombies walking in one of my arenas I can just drop below it and double-jump back on it and all zombies just drop to the floor.

The reason the zombies were able to bypass your method is because you were at a Y-value that was lower than the Y-value the zombies were on. When zombies are above you, they drop through non-solid blocks to get to you. But when zombies are against anything but a door, they try to jump over it and reach you. So in conclusion, because you were below the zombies they dropped through the workbenches and because they were also against dirt blocks they jumped over it.
Now do 1 hp hardcore calamity infernum legendary mode zenith seed with placing or breaking any blocks with 100× enemy spawn rate and beat every bosses and get every achievements
1hp no building with solid blocks so platforms ropes and craft stations are fine so you can still progress
