    Thanks so much for sharing Tyler. It’s tough to know what being a full time trainer could yield as nobody really tells you. Interesting how much you can rent the gym out for! That’s almost rent covered so nearly everything else is profit, nice work!

    cool videos haven't come across basketball trainers breaking down the business like this. 2 questions, how much can you rent out a basketball court for? is it per hour? and what credentials did you need to start the business like did you ever play d1 or professionally

    • @tjltraining
      @tjltraining  2 года назад

      Yes I rent out the court (1/2 court) for 45 hr. Which is the normal price for my area. It’s obviously very market specific. And my credentials were getting good at getting players results and knowing what I’m doing

    This is good info! What do you charge for individual and small group sessions? And is it a per session basis or per month? I’ll eventually get into athletic performance training down the road so I’m curious what’s a good price range

    • @tjltraining
      @tjltraining  2 года назад

      Individuals started at around $80 then moved up to most clients around $100. Groups were 35-40 for 2021

    Really good video. Quick question. When you talked about renting out the court and how it was so successful. Who did you rent it too and how did you advertise it as being rentable?

    • @tjltraining
      @tjltraining  Год назад

      I rent it to mostly groups of people who want to play with their friends, 3v3 and things like that. As far as promoting largely from worth of mouth but also social media to jump start it

      @@tjltraining what were you charging to rent for 3v3 runs to people? Thank you for your video its very informative.

    @gregscott6430 2 года назад +1

    Tyler, thanks for all the details! What percentage of your gym time were rentals? I'm guessing it was only rented on your low usage times.

    • @tjltraining
      @tjltraining  2 года назад +1

      Week days 2-4 hours a day, weekends up to about 10-12 on best days, a few hours on worst

      @@tjltraining Thanks! Keep rolling, man! I want to see you hit your goals. I'm just getting back to coaching after years in tech. It's so nice to get back on the court again with the kids. From your videos and my local experience, it looks like the biggest hurdle, aside from building a quality clientele, for most aspiring trainers and coaches is finding and controlling regular gym time.

    • @tjltraining
