Gotta watch the snapper spikes EH! I remember Mum scratched a lump on her hand and a spike and some yuk came out she couldn't remember when it went in but must have been months before. She has been gone 16 yrs now still miss her.

I have always fish the Runganui harbour in the winter and caught heaps of big fish in the shallows . My theory is the fish come in there to feed on the crabs and mud worms as the live bait isn't around in the winter . The other place they go is the deeper reefs 30 mtrs and over

Couple weeks ago we went and there were waves breaking on the jetty it was so windy them southerlies gnarly. Saw a turtle tho.
