Why I Upgraded My Boat Batteries From AGM To Dakota Lithiums

- In this video I disccuss why I upgraded my boat batteries to Dakota lithiums. I touch on many of the pros and will follow up later with the few cons of upgrading to lithium batteries. Some of the primary reasons include:
More power: Lithium batteries have up to two times the power of traditional batteries so you can run longer and harder.
Consistent voltage: As a lead acid battery is discharged (used), voltage drops. Lithium batteries have a flat voltage curve so voltage is steady and consistent until the battery is fully discharged.
Faster charging: Lithium batteries charge much faster than traditional batteries. A lead-acid battery may take 10 hours compared to three hours for a lithium battery.

Love the batteries. Have them on my Havoc. Will be converting the Blue wave to Dakota batteries. Great video. There chargers are awesome also.
Awesome, I have the small charger but not the onboard charger. Is that what you use?
Yes. The onboard charger with the 24 volt Anderson set up. Trolling motor batteries charged in around 35 minutes. Also there customer service is outstanding!! They helped me out. Had an issue and man they were on it. The big boat will get all new batteries and onboard chargers in a few months.
🌴🤔 Hummm, Well josh I really got a charge out of this video , I guess when it comes down to it it’s price and how often do you use your boat , for someone like you and Chrissy poo, where your on the water really using your batteries and electronics all the time that would be a no brainer for the average fisherman that might go out a couple of times a month is it cost worthy, would I like to have one on my boat ( hell ya!) along with a solar charger system! Is it going to happen ahhh probably not 😞 , but this is an informative video for those people with major boat up grades and it’s great to see a vid from ya no matter what , just wondering why you don’t do videos on outings with the clients ! 🤔
There is no doubt they are an initial larger investment but the life span and warranty is so much longer. They may not be right for everyone but I think in the end they probably are better investment. I do record trips upon request. I have some snapper and grouper videos coming. Stay tuned.
