I got an '03 GLS .. 238k miles .. bought in '06 .. alternator seized in '22 .. epc light flicked a few times prior .. thought it was the MAF or Throttle Body, or both .. .. nope, alternator seized up .. thinking of swapping it with an HPA VR6 but 💰💰💰
I have a 04 Beetle turbo auto and the engine blew the head gasket. . This good detailed video just made my day. :)

Is your existing 1.8t bad?
The cylinder head had bent valves, so I replaced the head with one from an Audi A4.
