I’m wrapping my car and this was the only video that was super informative! Thank you for making this video, I was able to safely take off my spoiler for prep. :)
Mine was wobbly too for a couple years. My bf drove it through a car wash and the spoiler came off completely. Looks like yours except silver 2007. Wish I would've found a fix for the wobbly spoiler sooner, now I dont have one. Not sure if I should buy a new one or just figure out a way to cover the holes and make it look like it doesn't need one. Dont want snow, rain or leaves to get into the trunk. I feel your pain.
@@j.a.bellgardt3874 I have an 04 and the wire some how came in hooked but can't see where it plugs into. Have the rear deck lid off installing new speakers so thought it was a good time to try and trace the connection but no luck. Please help
@@williamknowles3709 Yeah, my rear speakers need to be replaced too but it's just a commuter now so not not high on the priority list. About the wire, you can't find the female side of the connector in your trunk lid? the black one shown at 1:39 in the video? They come from the trunk body to the lid on the left arm. I would grab a coat hanger or similar and try fishing for it from the opening seen at 1:39. Let me know, always happy to help.
Mine did not. If you're also trying to fix, my next plan is to use a wood screw or similar to drill into where the clip is suppose to come from on the bottom of the spoiler. With a washer or two this should help attach the spoiler to the trunk lid permanently. One catch is that you have to make a small access hole for each below the hole for the original clip inserted into. With this (untried fix) also be aware without sealing properly there is a better chance of water leaking though to the inside of the trunk.
The steelstik I tried applying to the clips and forcing through the hole didn't spread out as I had hoped. My next thought was to try using a 'steel hole saw' type cutter under the trunk lid in a discrete spot so get access to directly below the clips. I have also seen replacement spoilers for about $100 that just need some paint, which I am starting to consider but at the same time, I don't want another dud product. Lastly, you could try finding some strong epoxy and try applying it to the raised rim on both sides of the bottom of the spoiler. But you risk your paint should that spoiler come off. Ideally they are permanent anyways.

I just use self tapping screws where my clips were and it worked like magic

So were you able to remove the clips? I’m having the same issue on my 06 Corolla as well. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply. I was not. It looks like they are permanent/one-time clips or formed with the rest of that section of the spoiler.
I added a new suggestion above if you're still interested.
Pudiste resolver?
I just want to tighten mine up
Did it leak water into the trunk when it was loose?

I have the same issue with my 2004 Corolla S. Were you able to find a fix for your current spoiler?

Thank you bro. Had to remove mine cause it looks to ugly 😭
What size bolts?
I hate it when you have the part off already then explain -
Lol, just saw your reply. Well can agree with you. But I'm my case I wouldn't have had the know how until I removed it on what to explain.
@@j.a.bellgardt3874 I know I'm just teasing - lol
