Big Difference - Ripping around a Park and flying Cinematic - Sorry just my opinion - Apples with Apples, either do both Ripping or Both Cinematic - haven’t read comments yet.
I was having problems to decide which one to get, and after this video I will buy both, and that's cuz both are different and cannot be compare. Thanks. Awesome video
I just got the Modula 7 HD and I'm only flying it LOS indoors with a scaled throttle limit at 60% while I wait for my FPV goggles to arrive. I'm having a problem where if I crash into furniture or the quad flips over in a crash the motors spin up to 100% and I have no control with the throttle stick. I have to dissarm it instantly. Is this normal? Hope somebody can recommend a setting in Betaflight. It's currently tuned the same as Justin's video here, exept I have two rateprofiles on a switch with different throttle limits for indoor and outdoor.
Hi justin great review I’ve bought the mobula 7 hd after watching your vid😁😎I’m going to do the battery strap mod like you’ve done my straps are on their way please can you tell me the size of the 450 mah 3s tattu your using it’s hard to see they do different sizes in their 3s lipos.thanks👍
You dont need to press that button to start recording every time, instead you can set video recording to start as soon as you plug in the battery (camera menu)
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me atm you can stream all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my gf lately =)
love your great videos, man I wish id bought the 85 I just spent the day in betaflight trying to get this in bind mode, Dose this thing not have a manual bind button? the only other thing I will comment back on is the really poor instructions provided, of course that's why RUclips is great, Thanks Ill keep tuning in.
The Mobula7 HD has a great camera, but I see what you are saying about the 85x, it might be better. I guess it all comes down to a matter of price, and availability. Thanks for another awesome review, you have a great channel.
Oh man, Justin! Thank you for showing some additional settings that I never knew existed in the beta flight setup...as in FONTS, never knew that existed! Great review. Thank you. Happy flying
Did you bind it in D8 or D16 mode when you were having fail-safe problems? Best to bind the F4 in D8 mode since we typically do not need all the D16 channels and a lot less problems such as you described.
I really appreciate this review. I've narrowed my search to these same two models for indoor events. But have been weighing the 85x's esc problems vs the M7HD's noticeable heaviness. I'm still on the fence but all the detailed info and visuals really help a tOn in my making a decision. Thanks again!
Did you make a decision yet? And if so, why? I really wanna get a mini whoop as well and narrowed my search on the same two - I'm still undecided though :/
@@Averell64 I did but maybe not what you think. I decided to just stay with my 5 inch rigs. None of these little guys will give me the acro feel I'm hoping for (like a big one) and have an HD cam. Maybe that will change... I just dont think it's there yet. I wish you the very best of luck though in finding something that works for you. Out of these two... I'd lean toward the Beta85. 😊
@@TwansFPV thanks mate, that's solid advice. I should probably wait until winter anyway and use the opportunity and the warm weather during the summer to get better with the 5 inch quad before bolting out and buying an indoor quad :D
Thrashcan is more powerful. No HD on it either but much more punch and more stable as this HD version. This thing here seems underpowered and all over the place.
@@miklosko3355 Thanks RA, I have already pulled the trigger and ended up buying the TrashCan. You're comment reassures me that I made the right choice.
I was about to ask whether this small quad can fly slow and steady, with nice stationary hovers for recording smooth video footage, but I do believe your mention that "stability mode" exists for the Mobula7 HD, answers that particular question very well. I'm looking to buy a tiny surveillance drone to fly for 3-minute filming missions around the premises, and I must be able to launch it hurriedly on the spur of the moment. With stability mode AND camera angle adjustment offered by the Mobula7 HD, it looks like I have found the make and model to fit my needs. Much obliged sir, for this very informative review.
On paper looks like a great package. The drone flies well but a few cons to live with - mess of wiring that sticks out all over the place and prone to being chopped by props, weak cam durability, already on my second yellow screen of death in the first week of ownership. Motor and camera screws need to be thread locked secured and i am having poor RSSI performance with mine. Max value of 20 shown on OSD! VTX is glitchy with performance different every flight.
Thank you for your time in creating these videos, they are very helpful. I wonder if you would help me with an issue on the Mobula7 hd. I have the V3 board and in Betaflight the stick commands are on the wrong channels. I have confirmed that the same RX and TX with the same settings work properly on a different quad but multiple RX and TX do not work on this quad. I am using FlySky Ibus. With my testing it has to be either in my wiring or in the BF settings. But, I do get an RX signal, and the same BF settings work on different quad. I'm stumped. Thank you
For the price of the beta 75, it's seems more reasonable to simply put the caddx on a 2.5" or 3" quad with some low pitch props to get much better video and and better handling. Just my opinion . Thanks Justin 🤘😁👍
Justin. Who is that covering Let it Be? I need that in my library. Like yesterday. Wow. And awesome review btw as always. Think I found it Matt Hylom! This song made my day.
@@dronecamps Yeah, they told me the updated canopy would fix it but now I see more work is needed. Somehow they need to isolate the vibrations from the drone from getting to the camera. On bigger drones its a lot easier because there is more space, it is challenging on these small ones.
Finally placed my order last night, your review in the morning! Sweet. Thanks for the thorough review + betaflight setup. Would be cool to see another freestyle video in sunny weather 🌞 May you RIP and stay in one piece! 🤘🏻
Love my 85x hd, I have mobula7 and 75x and trashcan all reviewed on my channel ... Might get this soon. Mobula7 is awsome but this looks better for indoors maybe, outside though the 85x hd is better .. I'm getting a good 5 minute on 3s 450mah on 85x had it's not bad on 2s 300mah for about 3 minutes.
I've got one of these on pre-order. I really wanted the 85x but they haven't said how long it'll be before they release a revised version to fix the esc issue :(
I'd like to see a teardown video of the mob HD. I currently custom built a mob 7 based HD with the new 804 motors and it RIPS so much I feel like the mobula 7 I got was a dud, even with the added weight of the caddx I put on mine I feel like the 804 with the F4 FC makes a beast of a quad, I've had to drop the throttle mid way down because I was hovering at 20% and skyrocketing. Also I get zero wobbles or jello on my setup, I did use some custom mockingbird PIDs I found and a few other tweaks, Will post some vids soon!
Mothy my mob7 f4 with the 803 motor build also has a noticeable power output increase with more precision in control! Thinking of dialing back that throttle a bit...
You are a very, very brave man flying that little guy out over the water like that! If you feel comfortable saying, where in Oregon are you flying in this video?
Hey you see UAVfutures video on the new 3 inch Diatone? I wanna see you get your hands one that and give us a review. I enjoy your reviews a bit more. It seems very impressive for $150
Sweet i have the 349 but I can't find parts there always out of stock and i refuse to order from banggood it takes a month and some change to get anything to me been 6 week hang in on the wall collecting dust it's BS
Hey! i have a big problem! opening the modes tab i can see only ARM and no buttons to click.. aswell as at Configuration -> Board and Sensor Allignment it says it didnt find a Gyro/Acc. What should i do to go flying? Arming with aux1 doesnt work aswell
That's a pretty sweet park with all that structure to perform stunts. . Nice review. The HD feature was cool. It got me thinking of recording competitions and classes at my gym. Keeping the camera angle low will keep the speed down. I really like the micro brushless form factor. Especially since I live in SoCal and my area is so congested with minimal real estate. Sometimes a 5" can be a bit much depending on the space. Taking something like this to a small park on a calm day would be ideal. Was there a Project Mockingbird tune for it?
That Wild Oregon location was beautiful, great spot to fly.
Great location, nice vid. Hope you fly this place again
Been a while since I've heard "Let it be". Delightful background track for a beautiful video! Don't see country like that in Oklahoma!
purchased the mobula HD
How much time can IT Fly?
And how to charge IT?
Pls i need this fast!
I am new in fpv and its dificult to make a choise....thanks for all revieus
Very good. How long is the flight? 4 minutes? What is his (FPV) camera like at night? Thankful.

How do you connect it with goggles?
in terms of flying, should i get this? or cinecan?
Always awesome content bro!

Are you recording from fatshark or a different source?
PogiMoto The HD footage is directly recorded from the camera on the whoop to a micro SD card.
I was just about to skip over the 85x video ... but the scenery was so beautiful and the music was a perfect match. Nice job!

I think it's nice to have both version. Same name but i think weight changes really much

Wow, looks like you got the updated canopy and it still has jello. I kinda wonder if jello free video is even realistic on these super small micros.
Not unless we keep working on this idea. Seems some are underpowered and still have jello. Maybe they need to focus on dampening systems.

Almost impossible Albert... though i seen some 85 HD vids that where very good. Check YT 85HD. But in general to much frame vibes that cause jello
