very nice. it was getting tiring seeing 20 identical dudes pumping out 20 identical superproduced videos every time a device drops, and in the end not learning enough from them
I always appreciate the more personal and unscripted reviews. Seems more honest, not as 'sponsored". Really good video. Im still waiting on my RGSP. It'll probably be here next week. I'm just binging all the SP videos I can until it comes home. Subscribed!
@CelinaLovesKirby I got a silver and a transparent black. Couldn't make up my mind, and they're pretty cheap cost-wise. ...Then they were $48 and free shipping with a coupon on Aliexpress, so I grabbed a silver for my friend, too. I don't even have it yet, and I'm already getting all goofy about it. For me, this is the one I've been waiting for. I've been a huge fan of the original SP for a couple of decades. Being able to play so many systems with the SP's form factor just sounds awesome.
@@CelinaKristineCollects Anything that doesn't require thumb sticks. It is a companion to my steam deck, if it plays on the SP and doesn't require thumb sticks it is played on the SP, for everything else I use my deck. It saves battery on my deck.
Great to see new faces and different view point! Keep up the good work and good luck with the RUclips journey! I definitely think the SP is more nostalgia than anything else and the point of where if you own another emulation device is not big of upgrade is super strong. However the MM+ has refined software and the SP still does not so it will do few things better but definitely not enough to own both. Really can't go wrong with any of the xx for first device, tho the H offers most imo😊 Great collection of devices btw
Thank you so much! And yes I think we’ve all ran our SPs wild scathes and all! I always like original devices but even with the SP Unhinged (which I don’t own) they just have beautiful screens so things just look prettier lol wish we all just modded our original’s shells and screens and called it a day
I hope you can mod your psp soon, it's really amazing just playing psp games on the native console and it's easy to mod it. I for one am not tech savvy but I was able to mod it and add roms. Sadly my psp broke though so I plan to get another one soon, for now I'll be sticking with my newly bought DSI and Anbernic SP as I miss playing old pokemon games, and other DS games. That being said I plan to also play pokemon fan games, and some psp and ps1 games. That's what i got my SP for since I found out my DSI can't play most of those rom hacks that I wanted to play, and others like snes, dreamcast, psp and ps1. Also interested on checking out portmaster, wanna try UFO 50 on there. Thanks for the vid!

Good video. Good to see another opinion not part of the group think. As far as licensing, none of it is licensed. They avoid Mario games on most of these devices because Nintendo is aggressive perusing legal action. Sadly the Rg35xxsp isn’t quite powerful enough for most psp games. It’s more a ps1 and below device with some psp, n64, and Dreamcast. If you want the extra systems you will either want a PC handheld like the steamdeck, or ROG Ally, or you’d want to go with a higher end Android based handheld like the RG556, Odin 2, or Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Honestly there are lots of devices out there. Either way have fun playing. The Miyoo Mini Plus is a great device. You should install Onion OS if you haven’t yet. The RG35xxSP will be good but custom firmware isn’t quite there yet and stock OS has some annoyances. Muos is getting close. If you don’t care about wifi features like retro achievements MinUI is good too. Both are easy to install.

Great review! Hey, if ya like psp.. The trim ui smart pro plays it pretty nicely. BUT!.. If ya really really want kick butt psp, grab up a vita if possible and mod it🤩
The reason there is no Nintendo first party games is because Nintendo is lawsuit happy right now and they are just trying to not get sued by the over-litigious lawyers of Nintendo Japan.

But still, the PSP can emulate a bunch of stuff, if you only have that and can't afford more, rest assured you'll have tons of fun with that!
Hey, if you are maiinly interested in playing PSP games, i'd suggest getting a Trimui smart pro, or RP4 Pro. RG 556 is also nice but the sticks on RP4 Pro are so much better, though it's also more expensive, but you don't really have any compromises. It basically runs everything up to most PS2 and GC, so it runs every PSP game easily, upscaled and with no frameskip.
