I have a plan to completely upgrade my turtle's tank into a natural scape with live plants and such and this video makes me want to get started on it tomorrow 😍 I love seeing my turtle happy and entertained and Timmy deserves that too ☺️
Beautiful setup. I have an African Sideneck Turtle whose been living in a borderline pet shop style tank (water, basking ramp and a filter) for pretty much his whole life, but I'd love to create something more natural like this for him to spend his golden years. A lot of great ideas in this video. Thank you for sharing!
To be honest I did like the style of the last “Timmy tank“ more than this one. But Timmy needed more space to swim and the channel lives on new scapes 😉
What Up MD, I live in South NJ (South Jersey), U.S. & I fish a native cedar freshwater lake loaded with Eastern Bog Turtles. Literally swimming arnd toes when wade into water, & what I've noticed is that these little guys LOVE....I MEAN ABSOLUTELY LOVE TADPOLES, specifically Common Eastern Land Toads t-poles. Small black little guys in huge #'s. You should net some native t-poles out of a native body of water near your home/studio, Timmy will be in "Heaven"!!! 🙏🏻
I' d love to see you make a wildlife pond, that way you can still have amphibians without having to care for them! Also a good way of giving the wildlife in your area a hand.
Lol lol do you know I was going to say exactly the same.there very cheap £23 for a 2.3 ltr.I’ve 4 of these white pre filters and use them with all my main filters.that don’t really need cleaning to be honest.just the pre filter now and then..
@@stevecooper6653 I haven't opened up my main filter since July 2019, but the pre filter needs opening up every 4 weeks to change the polish pad and unclog the sponges.
I had never seen a build like this before, (with the plants I mean). It turned out so beautiful! I've been wanting to make a nice setup for a turtle. This gave me some great ideas!
My musk Turtle was given to me in a 10 gallon tank he was just over an inch and a half long. I got him a 29 gallon and slowly filled it up to build his strength and eventually got it almost full. He loves swimming doing all kinds of tricks, chasing the small animals in the tank, he does dive deep and walks along the surface but over all he’s all over the place. Some might not like a lot of water but mine does for sure. It’s only been a month or so, we will see in a couple years when he’s a little bigger and gets to live in a 50 gallon possibly 75 gallon.
Looking good! Timmy looks pretty happy in his new digs! - soooo very jealous you guys can just head out to the store! Things are still closed for in store shopping here! Makes it difficult to browse!!!
It would be interesting to see a tank deconstruction video. Definitely won’t have as nice of B roll, but would reveal the full cycle of a tank. Do you save materials and whatnot, or do they all get chucked so you can have good looking material for new builds?
He seems to be growing very slowly. Mine was adult size by now! He's very cute though, and great setup! I better not show mine or he'll be jealous (but he'd destroy all it anyway...)
the tank looks great but shouldn't the heat lamp be right over the basking spot? and the basking spot be fully dry? is the top light over the tank a UVB light?
Do you have any issues with the temperatures for keeping different fish across the tanks, or do you have heaters for the tanks that need them? I think you have the heaters in the canister filters but I don't remember. I am thinking about taking the heater out of my 20 gallon, but just don't know if my rabbit snails will be happy with 71F/22C in the winter,.
Beautiful tank ! really natural effect :) I was wondering if the plants in the weed fabric were in contact with the water of the tank or fully isolated ?
Another great video, I have finally bit the bullet mate and bought a tiny musk turtle (still in the shop), also after more than 12 months of dithering, I have finally bought on your recommendation an All Pond Solutions Ultra Clear Glass Fish Tank. My question to you...would my new tank look stupid on a cabinet that is 12 cm longer than the tank giving a 6 cm overhang of the cabinet on either side of the tank? Do you still aquascape other peoples tanks? if you do, I can see myself calling on your expertise and service in the very near future.
Timmy will slowly adjust to the tank and appreciate the extra swimming room - but he looked stressed at first. Perhaps because he went from a dark tannins tank, to a clear one. Maybe his eyes didn't have a chance to adjust properly? Do you think he'll feel safer with more tannins in the water?
I have 2 musk turtles that need a new home if you want them md, they are about 3 years old and about 4 inches in size, dont want to let them go really but iv had some medical issues which means I'm struggling to keep up with the maintenance for them now, at least with you I know they will be looked after properly
Now I know my musk isnt weird. I have seen him bask maybe once or twice. He just stays under except for getting a breath every now and then. He has even found a hiding place in the new set up.
Where did you get that tank? I've been wanting one with that length but could only find 60×30×30? I think you should get Timmy a friend and call him Tommy in honour of my name 🤣😝 my hometown is Exmouth gonna take a trip to Maidenhead Aquatics soon 😁
Lovely! I think Timmy's shell needs a bit of cleaning with a soft toothbrush though. Or is the algae left to grow on him as part of the naturalistic concept?
What kind of a filter would you recommend for a tank like this? I have a powerful internal filter with this exact tank but it obviously takes up most of the space. My worry with external or canister filters would be that they’d be a lot louder than an internal one. Any thoughts?
around 18:50 I can hear some ticking sound. First I thought it was my PC. Could it be your watch, MD? Or maybe the background music Edit: 21:04 ah, now it makes sense hahaha

You never mention what temperature the room is heated to?
@@mattphilip4595 MD mentioned it several times. I think it’s 22-23 degrees Celsius (~72-73 F).
You should keep Timmys old scape and then get newts or salamander for it that would be so awesome would love to see more paludariums.
Absolutely
That tank was my favourite tank of the studio.
Remember last year he made a paludarium but couldn't get newts or salamanders like he wanted
I agreed with you the set up look more for a betta fish or a salamander
unfortunately they weren't allowed in the UK he said he tried last year I recommend going back and watching his old stuff if you already haven't it's hilarious and very informative for beginners

You are like the Bob Ross of aquarium scapes... you make it look easy because of your natural talent 👍great job!
That's one lucky turtle. I'm going to go ahead and guess by the end of his life Timmy will have had 22 different homes. Hes such a baller lol
💛💛💛💛 I have to make it some
I like this one, but i must admit, Timmy's old tank is my favorite tank in the studio! It's a such a beautiful slice of nature
Beautiful setup. Timmy is lucky to have you as an owner, you create such amazing habitats for him
To be honest I did like the style of the last “Timmy tank“ more than this one. But Timmy needed more space to swim and the channel lives on new scapes 😉
😍😍😍 I have some fish tank
It's so frustrating(I don't have access to all the materials required) as well as satisfying to see mds scapes
this is so beautiful! 😭 Timmy is a lucky guy!
I did love Timmy’s previous scape, it’s beautiful, but the new one is utterly perfect for him, looks like summertime
I'm wondering if Timmy will get along with crabs. Next upgrade could be with the atlantis underwater island. 😁😁😁😁 Love your work. 🐟🐠🐟🐠
Ffree feet is the perfect legnff MD & the depff is just right for Timmay. He's such a lucky turtle, this set up should last for munffs.
The scape set-up looks great for Timmy. Deflinity more area to roam around and explore.
Just when you think Timmy tanks can’t get any better! All we need now is a friend, friend for Timmy make it happen!
TIMMY love seeing that little turtle on the channel 🐢
The ASMR “Click Subscribe” ghost got me.. My life will never be the same again
😍💛😍💛 i have it some
You take better care of your fish than I do of myself
Its even more beautiful then i expected!😁
😍💛😍💛 I have some of it
Now man Timmy is a big boy now I remember when he was tinny love the vids man keep it up

We need a post-scape interview with Timmy 😁👍
Timmy looks very happy in his new home! At some point I would love to have a turtle and do this for them.
So dreamy and so very gorgeous ! I wish I were Timmy !!
I' d love to see you make a wildlife pond, that way you can still have amphibians without having to care for them! Also a good way of giving the wildlife in your area a hand.
I use one of those mini canister fiters without a pump as a pre filter for my main canister, which allowed me to fill it entirely with bio media.
Lol lol do you know I was going to say exactly the same.there very cheap £23 for a 2.3 ltr.I’ve 4 of these white pre filters and use them with all my main filters.that don’t really need cleaning to be honest.just the pre filter now and then..

I would love an hour long, close up video of your tanks set to music. Please and thank you.
I had never seen a build like this before, (with the plants I mean). It turned out so beautiful! I've been wanting to make a nice setup for a turtle. This gave me some great ideas!
Best fish tanks, you got me into the hobby.
When I die I want to come back as a turtle that finds a home with MD 😌
Yeyyy!!! Turtle aquarium! Thanks for the great video MD! 💯☺️
Really natural, very beautiful, i want something like this in the future
You do have a real talent with Fishtanks I love your videos .

Timmy is living the best life
so good!! this really recreates a musk turtles natural habitat well I'm sure he'll thrive in that
You sir are the Picasso of aquascaping
Timmy's new pad is cool 😎 nice job !
The leaves really make the tank pop! Love it!
Looking good! Timmy looks pretty happy in his new digs! - soooo very jealous you guys can just head out to the store! Things are still closed for in store shopping here! Makes it difficult to browse!!!
Md, you should paint your icon on the wall behind the tank !!
Me since the first seconds of the video: MD pleeeease do not break down Timmis old tank!!!! It's too pretty
Keep Timmy in the old tank
New turtle tank looks fantastic !!!
Your own little pond! So nice. 🙂
You make it all look so easy looks great 👍
Love your work MD

Those minows are definitely a -emergency food- friend
the dislike was from the small gravel that didnt get let in

Vielen Dank dafür....lg

Love your videos so informative 😁
I would love to see you set up a reef tank, all your set up are awesome and I wanna see how you translate that to a reef tank
Timmy is one lucky turtle 🐢
Very nice natural open feel tank. 👌
the tank looks great but shouldn't the heat lamp be right over the basking spot? and the basking spot be fully dry? is the top light over the tank a UVB light?
YOU are AMAZING man ,great work.
Would be awesome if you got an area to start doing ponds one day! 😍
I was wondering where is MD's video . Love this guy , and his videos . I am first to comment . Stay rocking MD 😎
I always stop everything I'm doing to watch your videos when I get notified. =) I have 2 tanks inspired by you and 2 more ready to be scaped =)
Love that! ❤
Can I ask though, how do you clean the tank? Won’t food and algae grow inbetween the rocks?
Do you have any issues with the temperatures for keeping different fish across the tanks, or do you have heaters for the tanks that need them? I think you have the heaters in the canister filters but I don't remember.
I am thinking about taking the heater out of my 20 gallon, but just don't know if my rabbit snails will be happy with 71F/22C in the winter,.
Most of his animals are cold water fish, which at hottest should be 21 degrees, which is practically room temperature.
MD’s fish rooms are heated/air-conditioned. Fish tanks that need higher temperature like Discus tank have heaters.
Haha yes new upload thanks md love him directly aldo i only watchet the start
Linda casa timmy!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Incredible video like always 👌 👏 I'm getting new fish today uploading the video later today 😃
Oh I am loving this look!! ❤️❤️
Beautiful tank ! really natural effect :) I was wondering if the plants in the weed fabric were in contact with the water of the tank or fully isolated ?

Is there any tanks exactly the ones you use for 2 adult musk turtles ? Just future kinda thought since the tanks look awesome
love these videos, and why is it so hard for me to find coarse sand like that to buy :?
you should get some vampire crabs for his old tank! I've recently got one and he's great !
Your scapes always amaze me! What leaves do you use?

wish md could come and aquascape both my tanks
Hi MD, can you link us to where you got this tank? Love the dimensions

What sand did you use as I'm planning a re scape of my daughters turtle tank currently using play sand but I find its too compact for planting
Have you tried planting lucky bamboo on your aquarium tank? Would you mind create a video of it?
Awesome video thanks for sharing 👀💚🐢

GREAT VIDEO AGAIN!! love the work keep it up

Let’s go another video!
What light did u use 4 the uvb and uva
So much space for activities
