On the used market I ended up going with the 7+ for the sole reason the model I was considering had LTE+ capability. Now I'll pop in my spare Verizon SIM card and have unlimited high speed LTE wireless everywhere for the price of adding one line on my Verizon account. It's a rare option, but worth it for my niche situation.

Thank you so much for mentioning the magnetic storage for the pen! First video to mention it, I've been looking everywhere. I find it so handy to put the pen on the side of my Pro 4 just for a sec while I type and then grab it again, might not be as smooth to put it between the keyboard and the screen all the time. Unless the keyboard is flat, there's an option
I'd be curious as well to see if the thermal design or other aspects increase the speed of either one over the other. I don't think I will have access to this information though, but would like to know it too
No having bluetooth on the keyboard is a real problem for an artist. We usually work with the keyboard on the right or left for the shortcuts. I think it is better to get another bt keyboard, since the bluetooth adaptrer is discontinued.
I agree, you may want to try out the Tablet Pro Artist Pad. It's what I use to supplement not having a keyboard on hand but still have keyboard shortcuts. www.tabletpro.com
I just bought the Pro 8 with the keyboard thinking I could use it on the side. If this can't be done I might have to return it. However, I just found this tool if it helps you. It's called xp-pen remote. It seems to be doing the job and it's also very affordable.
Could you compare the Pro 8 to the Pro X? Would be interesting to see what apps does the Pro 8 run better, how much more noticeable is having acting cooling, and maybe just the different in hardware in general.

Hello sir, I have 1 question.. does the tip of the new slim pen 2 & the R520c go in and out like a spring like on the default surface pen 2017 or is it firm like the apple pencil?
R520C is almost exactly like the tip on the Surface 2017 pen. in and out. maybe slightly less. the slim pen is more like the apple pencil and has very little travel, but it does have some, it's not totally immobile
Are you the new type covers (with slim pen) compatible with Pro 7, and vice versa. Since you mentioned the dimensions are slightly different, I am curious.

I'd totally buy the Surface 8 for the bigger screen if it wasn't for the removal of the microSD card slot. That totally ruins the product for me and it is the main reason why I won't be upgrading to a new Surface until the slot is back. The new keyboard is also unnecessarily expensive, especially for people like me who don't need or use the stylus at all.
Is the removable SSD slot a secondary slot or the only slot somebody said that its a second slot meaning you have the memory on the board and can put a second ssd in???? If not the lost of the micro sd slot makes zero sense and is a big hurt
it is the primary spot. meaning you can't add and yes the loss of the micro sd card slot is a big deal. I'm trying to figure out some type of good solution, but nothing yet, thinking like a small usb c micro sd card reader, but that occupies a port, rather a pass through solution. like in line micro sd card usb c cable. if this isn't invented yet, we should make one. slightly larger head at one end that holds a micro sd card. but... how would it know to pull the info from that spot vs whatever other data is pass.... just give it a separate name like a hub... okay... okay....

I think that the black ones are always problematic and I haven't had a chance to see the new black version, it's supposed to be a different coating or type of metal. I don't know if it will be less scratchable, but I agree, the old one was bad. ☹

it was a time constraint issue. In a lot of my other videos I do that. Just weighed the values and thought speed of answering peoples questions was more important than the time it would take to add the extra info. Most of that info is in my other videos from the last week though. so it is accessible (and yes, I prefer to see the screen better vs seeing a person (well most persons, if it was my gf I don't think I'd even notice the computer)
Sir, i have asus convertible laptop, when is use my styles on screen,its screen is unable to recognize my finger touch response, i have to remove my pen,then wait for 3 seconds and then it recognize my fingers touch,, i am unable to use my finger and stylus at once, is this type of problem is present in surface Pro 8???
Definitely sp8 with slim pen 2. But I prefer the laptop studio more with 32gb ram for my work. I can have a few big programs open at the same time. Makes my work much faster and smoother
It became really hard for me to keep track of which surface pro you were talking about when. So I just gave up and quit watching. I have noticed in many of your other videos, that you switch context back and forth a lot, but you are rarely clear about which context you are in. You say things like, "... This one here" A LOT but I can rarely tell which device you are waving around.

clip studio paint and adobe fresco are full gestures, you no longer need keyboard give it a try. i use them on my surface devices.
