You know what's funny about the New Vegas bag? ...New Vegas wasn't made by Bethesda. New Vegas was licensed out to Obsidian Entertainment to be published under Bethesda Softworks with the rest of the series. The rest were either made by the original creator Interplay or Bethesda themselves (Obsidian also created Outer Worlds more recently after people kept going up to them asking them to make more Fallout since Bethesda is fucking inept. From what I hear, 76 is decent now. But I can't bring myself to play it, I just don't like the excuse of releasing garbage and promise you'll update and patch it at $60. Bethesda is a perfect example of if you have enough money there's no consequences. These companies commit actual crimes and either get a small fine in comparison to the amount they have or nothing at all.
Fallout76 was such a nuclear BOMB of incompetence, greed and general hatred for their own customers that I would personally never buy a single bethesda game again after such a CATASTROPHIC media circus.
You know, honestly i dont blame them, who would have guessed that publishing a rushed, badly developed game would make the game break and seem badly developed? There's no way in the world we'd have predicted that.
Bethesda didn't made any good games since Oblivion, with exception of Fallout Shelter, but it is a small mobile game so it's kinda hard to fuck up (reminds me about abyssmal new HoMM games, which had pretty fun side pre-HoMM6 release as a promo game, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes), which means that they didn't made a good game for almost 2 decades now. And no, "muh Skyrim" doesn't count. If we take basic non-modded Skyrim, then it's a downgrade compared to Oblivion in everything except visuals. And mods are not made by devs, you can't put achievements of random thousands people on the dev company.
it is funny cause I had the exact same thought, I like fallout games, but they are a pain in the ass to get working, so when I saw that Fallout 76 was a multiplayer game, all excitement I had was gone, I knew it was going to be a shit fest, Bethesda don't release working games.
I was excited until they said it was multiplayer only and i was like "aight this is gonna be crap, but it's not my game style' and then the game out and it was waaay worse than I could ever imagine
"and microsoft bought them after what they did"? Do you know how many powerful and well-known video game franchises they have? You have to look at the future and not the present. It will be a gigantic revenue for them if they start making new parts of well-known franchises.
Facts. Plus Bethesda does have a good reputation with single player games and Starfield is a single player game. So there is a chance. I think Microsoft made a good move.
Microsoft bought them because as much as Fallout 76 was/is hated people still love their other games like the standard Fallout and the Elder Scrolls franchise enough for it to seem like a profitable purchase.

as a massive fan of the Fallout IP I definitely don't think the company is the greatest ever, In fact my love of Fallout makes me feel the opposite
I still wonder.... Just how bad was the orignal rum that they had to delay it cause it wasn't "Up to the usual fallout standards"? The stuff must've been so vile it could be a substitute for ipecac.
My dad actually Destiny with a guy who worked on both Fall Out 4 and Destiny
Bethesda is a perfect example of if you have enough money there's no consequences.
These companies commit actual crimes and either get a small fine in comparison to the amount they have or nothing at all.
Is it weird this video makes me feel a little better about things.
Idk if you guys do suggestions or not but may I suggest you guys watch the Michelle bay transformers movies?
Fallout76 was such a nuclear BOMB of incompetence, greed and general hatred for their own customers that I would personally never buy a single bethesda game again after such a CATASTROPHIC media circus.
No it still sucks.
More Internet Historian please. Loved the video.
More Internet Historian Please,... Start from the Beginning, Dashcon, and Rainfurest Please Guys
There was talk at the time that the GameStop thing was staged I never heard confirmation or denial so not sure if that was real or not
Todd claims that Fallout 76 is the biggest mad Bethesda ever made, despite the existence of both Arena and Daggerfall.
it is funny cause I had the exact same thought, I like fallout games, but they are a pain in the ass to get working, so when I saw that Fallout 76 was a multiplayer game, all excitement I had was gone, I knew it was going to be a shit fest, Bethesda don't release working games.
Fallout 4 and Skyrim is the best, little bugs here and there, but they are fun to play...
The reason people have hope for bethesda is because the games they used to make were good
broken relics of an old era
Honestly just holy shit
And seeing people still hyping up their next game is just... dear god....
They have t they been working on starfield unless count their publishing team then alot of good stuff but they didnt work on them themselfs
All of this horrible, horrible shit is why I still play 76.i got to see this dumpster fire through because it keeps me warm
Microsoft could give two fcks about bethesda. What they're really after were the IPs and dedicated fan base that comes with those.
I was excited until they said it was multiplayer only and i was like "aight this is gonna be crap, but it's not my game style' and then the game out and it was waaay worse than I could ever imagine
great stuff!
So Doom is an okay game, holy shit those standards.. dont misunderstand me Bethestha sucks if only for what they did with fallout 76
Engoodening of No man's sky
Yes please do more internet historian
Let's hope Starfield will put the company out of its misery
"and microsoft bought them after what they did"? Do you know how many powerful and well-known video game franchises they have? You have to look at the future and not the present. It will be a gigantic revenue for them if they start making new parts of well-known franchises.
Facts. Plus Bethesda does have a good reputation with single player games and Starfield is a single player game. So there is a chance. I think Microsoft made a good move.
Please watch the “end good ending of No mama sky”
Do Internet Historian's, Engoodening of No Man's Sky next.
Oh pls more Internet Historian!
Microsoft bought them because as much as Fallout 76 was/is hated people still love their other games like the standard Fallout and the Elder Scrolls franchise enough for it to seem like a profitable purchase.
