    Internet Historian didn’t even touch on another issue that came up with the Power Armor edition of the game. Apparently a bunch of the helmets has dangerous mold in them and had to be recalled.

      Those were different helmets, but it was around the same time so it didn't help XD The ones with mold were actually the red power armor helmets that were sold separately on their store and some few retailers, but not part of the power armor edition.

    A bit of a correction here, big game companies LOVE to do this. No matter how bad the press is, Bethesda got their money. Even if something comes of the lawsuit, they'll just settle out of court for a fraction of what they should.

      I just wanna let you know, incase you didn't, that the "Creation Engine" is literally Gamebryo Engine (the engine they used to make MORROWIND) with a bunch of lines of code added onto it and renamed. What does this mean? When you add code to an already existing one, that sometimes even contradicts the already established code from the previous version, it becomes unstable, that's why Bethesda games are so prone to crashing and bugs.
      Picture it like a Jenga tower that's about to fall with the slightest breeze of the wind.

      look, I get it, programming new code is hard, and takes time, but there are ways to safely reuse old code, even if it means taking the time to rewrite some portions, and stress testing it to see if it is consistently stable for use. If there's one thing I learned in basic programming(and I'm talking learning on something ancient like Microsoft VB 2005), it is that adding new codes unnecessarily can screw the whole program over, even something as basic as a calculation program. it is better to re-write the code than risk program stability.

    There's a big difference between No Man's Sky and Fallout 76. No Man's Sky was made by an indie development team who were backed by a larger producer. They had worked on a few lesser-known titles, and were wholly unready for the game they were trying to make. Their issue was their impromptu hypeman making too many promises.
    Bethesda is a AAA games production company. They have a dozen development studios under their wings, such as Machinegames and id Software. They've made plenty of games that released to high praise, and are one of the better known studios. They only talked about the multiplayer aspect and the graphical details, but were otherwise mute and didn't hype the game. Their issue is that most fans were expecting very little, and even then, they managed to disappoint.
    One feels like an inexperienced studio making an honest mistake, the other feels like an experienced studio running a con job. Even if Bethesda makes Fallout 76 better, they don't deserve to have people interested in it like No Man's Sky. They knew better and still made the same mistakes.

    if someone is interested, the game is a lot better nowadays, they added new content, free dlcs (because nobody was going to buy them so they made them free), seasons like in fortnite (to replace the dlcs), new locations, bug fixes, new mechanics, and freaking NPCs. but, everything comes with something bad, A SHIT TONS of bugs, the history is crap, the npcs are not as inteligent as you think, some missions are totally weird and sometimes unplayables, and the worse of all, a premium subscription called Fallout 1st, which is the worse thing Bethesda has done in all of its existence.
    first, it gave you 1650 atoms monthly, a box with INFINITE space, the ranger suit from Fallout: New Vegas, a new fast travel point, some shitty emotes and emojis, and access to the Private Worlds, which are servers where you can play alone with 7 friends.
    second, three of this things are totally cosmetic, the new fast travel point and the infinite box are just some pay to win shit, and Private Worlds are useless, supposedly you could access to the console and put mods in it, but can't use the console (unless you cheat) and the game has no mods.
    "Fallout 1st is a complete misdemeanor and the biggest insult to fans ever made in Bethesda history.
    Never in my life have I seen a company get carried away so much by greed and the desire to obtain money at all costs." DaniboubeTV, 2020. An spanish youtuber that likes Fallout.

    Oh god this lady is that type, where did the pay women more in gaming come from. Last I checked it was illegal to pay someone less as men when they first start working, besides it's common sense that if companies are supposedly paying women less then why don't companies replace most of the men who get paid more with women who get paid less? If companies are paying women less to save money wouldn't it be smart to hire more if not all women in jobs? you would have to be terrible at a company to not realize they could be saving a ton of money by doing that yet they don't and simple reason is they pay everyone equally but men do harder dangerous jobs and in any job men take less time off from work and will take extra hours when possible while most women will almost always leave early without a second thought and call in more, can't expect to get paid the same by the end of each pay period if you don't put in the harder jobs or more hours as you know common sense and math.

    Honestly, the fact that ZeniMax was bought by Microsoft gives me faith in the next Fallout/Elder Scrolls. ZeniMax was the main responsible for that disaster, and unfortunately Todd is the face of Bethesda, so he gets his image associated with the backslash. That said, Fallout 76 is in a pretty good state right now.

    The problem with Hello games and the launch of No man’s sky is that they were a small developer with big ideas, a new IP, and biting off a lot more than they could chew. Bethesda on the other hand has no excuse to make such a crappy game with the amount of resources they have. The same with CDPR and cyberpunk.

      Its playable, I played it for almost 30 hours before I made up my mind : You can play it, but why? Like, its just not fun. I'll be honest, its not like the other fallout games. It looks pretty, its kinda cool. But its not fun. And nothing hurts more than finding a beautiful suit of power armor and seeing that you're not the required level. Why the heck do I even loot things then?! This if fallout, not some mmo. But that's what they made it into, didn't they?

    • @nixia64
      @nixia64 3 года назад

      @@lazerfluxxy7370 tbh the required levels to use some items didn't really bother me that much. Yeah sometimes it was slightly annoying, but with some inventory management and having around 3 weapons on yourself at a time kind of made me forget about it. Also I was already used to that system for playing mmos as well. Because yes, Fo76 is a mmo. The story is...meh. it's okay, not incredible but lets stay fair it's not shit either. Gameplay is..well, it's like fallout 4, but it has some more pros and other cons that are different from Falout 4's pros and cons. I like the camp building a lot. Being able to build anywhere is great. I like they brought gun condition back, because it forces you to use different things sometimes. Crafting is imo overall okay, and the weight system is just like in Survival difficulty so not a big deal

    • @lazerfluxxy7370
      @lazerfluxxy7370 2 года назад

      @@nixia64 Its understandable that you feel that way, and I respect it. I'm glad you enjoy the game, or at least don't dislike it. Personally, I don't hate it, I just think there's really no point. Fallout is all about the stories, the survival just adds to it, in my opinion, its no a survival game, its a roleplaying game, well, I don't mean 76, I mean the fallout series in general. This I just my opinion and you might call me a purist or something, but personally, like many fallout fans, I believe Fallout New Vegas was what a fallout game was supposed to be, visuals and gameplay aside (which can age very poorly), its writing is top tier and you can play each playthrough in a completely different way and complete most quests in a multitude of ways. If they made a game with New Vegas mechanics and stories, fallout 76 visuals and gunplay, I think it would be perfect. I think the multiplayer aspect is a hit or miss, because if not implemented well, it can turn the game into a flaming pile of shit, personally, I hope they will be avoiding multiplayer for the next fallout, (let's not mention the atomic shop). Maybe if they put in a way to play by yourself and with friends, you know, like a co-op game, instead of mmo, it would be really good, in my opinion.

    • @nixia64
      @nixia64 2 года назад

      @@lazerfluxxy7370 I do agree with you on many points, then again I think what we may not be on agreement is mostly on the gameplay aspect, which is fine because like you said everyone has different tastes. I do agree also that its mainly about the story. I hope they avoid multiplayer for the next game as well, but perhaps implement coop, so you can play with a friend. I would like that a lot
