So glad we played RS to prepare us for the future of crypto markets and scams
Nice video man. Interesting to see how playing RuneScape as kids prepared us for scam recognition as adults. It’s too bad these scams happened since they tarnish the idea of crypto in many peoples minds.
I operate under the belief that it’s beneficial to have some of your portfolio in crypto but not more than you can afford to lose. Personally about half of my crypto is eth with smaller amounts of various smaller projects.
100% agreed, I also think its beneficial to own at least some. :)
how did it prepare when the playerbase still falls for the most obvious scams in the history of the universe.
Double xp and woox quitting on twitch is still going strong after all these years.
Got an ad for bitcoin lol
RuneScape was a school to prepare us for this scams
such a well made vid
Thank you so much!
He might not want to try a stock manip at age 17 w/o any xp. This could backfire really hard
Ngl crypto is kinda like a try not to get scammed challenge lol
Bruh i got a CRYPTO add 💀
I bring with me the RUclips algorithm.
Wooo! :)
Is it me or is the hype over crypto currencies finally starting to come down to earth, as I see almost everyone on the internet these days calling them a scam?
Calling crypto currencies a scam because scams utilize cryptocurrency is like calling the US dollar a scam because people use the US dollar to do scams, it's terrible logic.
This is my first video on the channel, thought we’d never see your face with mostly talkovers.
Lol yeah what a scam lmao
LOL
You must not have looked very hard
Cryptocurrencies are garbage, always have been and probably always will be. To say they would counter inflation is just wishful thinking. It just means people in some places would be able to afford less than elsewhere. Because wealth isn't evenly distributed.
The only possible strength would be that they use less energy than traditional banking. Although I don't know exactly how those numbers are calculated.
As for drawbacks, there are many. First of all, they fluctuate far too much in cost to be used as currency. As such they are essentially stocks, rather than currency.
It is also far too easy to create a new cryptocurrency, creating pollution in the market. Because of this, there is also less trust, which is a good thing considering how many scams there have been.
The lack of trust then makes it harder to use the currencies, and further reinforces that they are stocks in a get rich quick scheme.
I don't think you know how crypto currencies actually work, it's a trustless system, if you have the balance and make a transaction it goes through, you can't counterfeit or lie about a transaction.
Secondly, not every crypto is a "stock" crypto, and there are also cryptos tethered to the value of the US dollar
@@ChristopherGray00 Regarding your first point, yes, that is essentially true, assuming someone doesn't find a loophole or bug. Regular banks are the same.
Making a counterfeit transaction is difficult in any even slightly competent bank system.
As for being tethered to USD, that's fine and all, but as long as mining is a possibility or the cryptocurrency has an artificial scarcity, you'll encounter issues.
There are also loads of trust issues in regards to these things. They can just pack their things and leave and your money is a thing of the past. Has happened before, will happen again.
Anyone else lose some friends to crypto?
He lost himself.
Also will be cool if you explain how to avoid meme coins and rug pulls a lot of friends lost money with squid, richquack etc... It Will be helpful too
