What makes a painting interesting many times is not exactly the subject but the combination of colors used and how they catch your eye. Great video!👏🏼👏🏼

Ordered and received! Read it cover to cover and will now delve into the meditation exercises. Helps me with color combos...I seem not to be very good at it...at least I think. Thanks for the review.
You should check out Lisa Solomon’s Color Meditation Deck as well. It’s great for endless prompts- for when you are out of ideas or overwhelmed by what to paint. It’s great for inspiration and practice.
I actually have had the Field Guide to Color. I love the book but I'm hesitant about painting directly in the book for fear of the water causing pages to stick together. How was painting in the book?

oooh I love the look of the Field Guide. What is the paper like quality-wise?
It’s pretty good! I wouldn’t say it’s high quality cotton paper but it’s fine to work in the book! Nice and thick!

Suggested in the book that you work on other paper to keep book from warping/curling, etc. Not a bad thing but I think I will do on other paper.
