28:20 - You shouldn't touch the printer (or the table) when the printer is doing the input shaping tests. The front panel warns you about this. Shaking the table or printer will result in an incorrect input shaping calibration.
Also curious to see how much replacement parts are and how available they are.
This is a good introduction/ unboxing. Thanks!
I prefer pre-film so I can watch it at 2x speed.
Thanks!
can you share how you fixed the extrusion issue cus im facing the same problem
The price in Sweden for Bambu Lab X1 Carbon is on a whole different level. It's €1500 for the AMS version. P1P is €900. K1 is about €600-650.
Wow. That is a lot more expensive. Hopefully it gets cheaper over time.
@@ChrisLoh Yeah but their earnings are also much higher than other countries.
Nice vid! Good Job!
great review
Wow. Really would have helped if you read up a bit on the features before doing the unboxing. I had to turn it off when you said you didn't know what input shaping means... 😂
perhaps the Lock switch on the print head should be a sprint loaded return to lock position - standard
It was a bit disappointing that you received a K1 with a sprung frame, based on the lid not fitting. I've watched several K1 videos and hadn't seen that problem. I assume someone dropped that printer on a corner, probably during shipping. Before I attempted to use the printer, I'd square the aluminum exoskeleton frame.
Why does my creality k13d printer keed moving the mold all over the plate , and does not build
I really think you should know about input shaping..
Still new to 3D printing, however, I have figured out what it is and how it improves print quality.
My K1 cover alignes perfectly, if it doesn't there may be an issue with the frame, probably the shipper must have dropped the box hard.
Thanks for the heads up and confirmation. Guess I’ll have to reach out to Creality
Orderd mine two days ago, with AI camera upgrade.. It's going to be my first 3D printer.. Fun to see your hydroponique tours in the background, because is my number one reason I both this printer.. AND at the same time have fun printing other objects and learn 3D modeling for some custom prints..
Excellent. I actually bought the Bambu Labs X1C for that reason as well. To start printing my Hydroponic Towers using food-grade material. Since then I have just gotten addicted to 3D printing and have been buying more and more 3D printers. It also gives me the ability to start printing cool things like an Iron Man suit 😁
First? woe, congrats!
How did you order with the AI Camera upgrade, I am looking to order but have not seen that option, but would like it.
Hello ? Why are you lying ? Have you even added the product in the cart ? Then you would have seen that there is no AI Camera upgrade :))
I plan on getting a K1 Max in a few months, hopefully after the inevitable initial teething issues are resolved. I'm not in a hurry to be an early adopter. I doubt the lidar or camera will be implemented as useful features and are probably marketing features to click some Bambu Lab comparison checklists. I wish I could buy a K1 Max for $200 less without the camera or lidar.
If Creality fix any issue on a printer it will be a first for them!
Mounting the spool on the back saves money but is one cost cutting measure that should have been scrapped.
Yea. right now I have the printer backed up against a wall and it's a hassle to change out filament spools. Im trying to find and/or design a template that will allow me to mount the spool on the side or somewhere more convenient.
@@ChrisLoh Think 'vertical integration' ... 1 Kg spools are 3 inches wide by 8 inch diameter. Construct a new top from Acrylic that increases the height by 12 inches. place bar mounted horizontal across the width 5 inches from the top and back. This allows room for at least 3 spools inside the new cover. Spool the filament from center of the front of the center spool. The cover would do double duty as a drying chamber as well ... just an idea :-)
@@Bonjour-World Thanks. Sounds like a good plan, but will need to find some time to do it. I'll update if I can pull it off.
I'm in the same delivery situation as you were, still waiting for mine. Two weeks ago I got an e-mail "It's been dispatched" but no movement since then, not even a receipt from the delivery company.
That sucks. If it's like my shipment, it will just show up on your doorstep suddenly. I also reached out to customer service and they were just as vague and said it would be shipped soon.
Just seems like all the kinks have not been worked on these early K1s. Like they are beta units being rushed out to get on the market. On paper the K1 certainly seems to have the goods at a fair price so it's probably highest on my list at the moment. But I'm not getting a new machine for a few months. Just seems like this new generation of fast CoreXY machines is not quite shaken out yet with a lot of makers still just trying to enter the market.
Hi , I get my k1 today. And I have the same problem when printing benchy the filament doesn't extrude. What you do ? I am new in 3D printing.

Just tried setting up my new K1 and it keeps failing during self inspection. It starts the self leveling part of the test then goes dark and reboots. Starting to feel regrets. No answer from Creality yet.
Check on side for voltage setting from factory it comes set at 230 volts has to be set at 120 volt
Mine just showed up, it's running through the self checkup. I can't tell if it's actually on the network yet or not though.
On the network selection screen if you wait a little it should say connected. The alternative is to download the Creality slicer and see if you can seee the printer
@@ChrisLoh Thanks for the reply! This is my first 3d printer, sure does a nice job!
@@NavySturmGewehr hows your k1 doing? I’m on the fence about getting one. Ive havent had much luck with 3d printers previously . May sell my two bed slingers and get one of these. I’m really looking for a fuss free printer that doesnt require bed leveling
@@tbip2001 I'm waiting on a replacement hot end from creality. My first 3d printer is down for two weeks. I erroronously made the assumption that creality really wanted to knock it out of the park with this printer. The quality of the prints and the easy of use as a new user is top notch. It really is. How many are having hot end failures and the fact that such an expensive machine is out of service in three days is a major put off, no matter how good creality's customer service is. Ideally, I don't want to find out if a company has good customer service or not.
Bought one. Printed a 100 mm part and it measures 99mm's. The holes wouldn't fit with the mating part. Finally got an email back from Creality. There is no method of calibrating this machine. So if you are printing a vase or a character it's great. If you need to print parts that have to fit together buy a different brand of printer
wow. that's wierd and something I havent experienced, but then again, im probably not printing anything as precise as you. Thanks for the heads up. Does that mean you have to adjust your print design to compensate at 101mm?
You asked for opinions, so ... I never watch live streams. They just waste too much of my valuable time and I honestly hate that it seems to be the fashion of the moment. Sometimes I click one by accident, notice it would take more than an hour of my time and then trash it, giving it a "don't like". So please, DO NOT make live streams or if you do, at least ensure you also provide edited (or even scripted) videos for those of us that don't have all that time too waste.
You can't figure out how to fast forward a video?
Not that difficult.
@@user-sb1vz9pv5y I do fast-forward. All the way to the end by stopping playback. A good content provider knows how to condense all useful info in the smallest amount of time. And I'll stick to my time management and not waste time on live streams not bothering with that. You are free to do differently.
Multi-Head?
Thats wierd, 1 got 2 rolls of "Hyper PLA" Is that what yours is?
I got one High-Performance PLA (HP) and one CR series PLA
I got one Ender white pla and one Ender black pla, it's truly just two random sets haha
@@phantomsirauron Wow, they must have ran out of the Hyper. Again, i ordered mine within minutes of the release. less than 5.
@@ItsDaPlumber yep I ordered mine about halfway through the month, had to pay my bills first so I expected as much lol
i like this printer had mine for a week or so! app is trash! but i dont use app
I got mine about 3 weeks ago!
Excellent. How are you liking yours?
@@ChrisLoh To be honest, I sold it 2 days later. I already have a Bambu and so when comparing it to that, Its a fail for me. First layer test didnt work. that was a sign for me. I also have a FLSun V400. That has its own issues.....
Is cura ur slicer ?
This printer isn’t on cura how did u get it too work
@@MilkcafeCo I used the creality print software that came with the printer
Does creality control these reviews because everyone's review is the same.
Benchy run with no comparison to known standards, ender 3, prusa mk3, etc.
My P1P just arrived and I will be filming a comparison video - I wanted to wait for the P1P since the K1 Speedy is Creality's competitor for the P1P.
한국도 얼마전에 kc인증 완료후 정식 출시 됐습니다.
Does he ever get to it geez
This is an enclosed printer. Printing PLA on this is almost an insult. To test this decently, performance with PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, ... should be checked. If PLA is all you care about, the P1P will be way better in the long run.
push down on the top and it will seat
Tried that, it lifts the other corner. Right now I have it just sitting on top of the printer. Works alright
bought mine 1 week ago this terrible printer, the extruder not working properly and buggies firmware to work with. ready to spend few weeks to fix the problems yourself if u want to get it. is like taking a gambling yourself to buy it whether u get the working properly unit or useless unit
Well I will say nothing compares to bambu so far .
Yep. Hopefully it spurs further advancement in the 3D printing industry and pushes better quality and faster printers in the near future.
wait till you get all the fun errors and you can not even run the machine, I am in limbo waiting for Creality to get back to me to fix the problems.
Ouch. Hopefully, I wont have the same issues. WHat problems are you encountering?
Show live
OK have to go fella seems nice but he dosent know what he's talking about which is everything but the printer
Any chance youll do a review on the pantheon HS3 mk2? Thanks. Input shaping helps reduce ringing on parts.

Thanks. I would love to check out the pantheon HS3 mk2, but at 10K it's a little out of my price range. I'll have to build up to that, unless they are willing to send one to me :)
Are you serious? the benchy is well printed as you can see... YOU ONLY CAN SEE! We don't have any close view of that session. Frankly, there's a huge room for improving your skills. Btw 17 min 48 s is closer to 18 minutes not 17. POINTLESS post!
The recent drop in price of the P1P makes this printer a non starter unless Creality dropped their price by 100 £ or $ , I still would not buy one though.
K1 is copycat of X1 to compete with P1P.
Sounds about right :)
