Damn Howard. Let him finish answering a question.
John is so well spoken and intricate with his words, he just has an answer to everything on the fly and says it with such precision.
But intentions does matters...not words...
Could not say it better...i agree
The past is old and John is a different person now
He has already changed his life
You can tell how loyal he was even back in 2006
This is Ruthless Agression Cena.
HLR
It bothers me how he can’t finish a damn sentence without these rapid fire questions coming at him.
"Are you a millionaire"?
"I'm eating right"
Cena is so freaking smart. He always answers quickly and his responses are perfect. I have so much respect for him and everything he does.
This one interview explains exactly why Vince made him the poster boy of the company for 15 years
How are those headphones floating by themselves?
🤦♂️🤦♂️😂😂😂😂
That joke is so 2012 get a new joke kid
Where?
That took me longer to work out than I want to admit 😂
This was 2006?! Wow thought this was 2016-2020
John “absolutely” Cena
Yep
John "Absolutely Cena" vs Joe "Entirely possible" Rogan
Just like Seth freakin rollins
Did Howard actually think Cena was going to admit to steroid use...lol
So sad...
Theres not ONE wrestler in WWE that hasnt tried steroids...not ONE.
Cena has never used steroids when he first meet Vince he accused Cena of using riods and was offended of that accusation because he doesn't use that.
Lol....
I think he was hoping for a slip up lol
are you a millionaire? “i’m eatin right” his demeanor is so awesome lol
Crazy to think he was less than years into his WWE career being that professional and confident
I mean about 5 years at this point he was signed in like 1999 I think first tv match in 2002 so
tf is your name
His Massachusetts accent is very obvious in this one. I've never noticed it before this.
You should go back and watch the times when he was a rapper in WWE.
SJW'S Ruin Everything!
Ah, Marky Mark... one of the many poster childs of white privileged. 🤣 Now don’t get triggered by that privileged social INjustice reactionary brobaby
Entahtainment
@@diegstroX8032 You seem to be the triggered one here
He could go to Lucha Underground and become Juan Cena🤔
As a man who tries to always choose his words well in conversations with strangers, I have an appreciation for how John answered. He does seem like someone that you would NOT want to piss off though.
14 years later and he's just as smooth. HOF WHEN ?
"You never juiced?"
(Jeopardy theme song plays)
Why carry the belt when it’s pre determined?Uhh because it means your the top guy of the company, they’re putting the trust in you to carry the brand, paying you more, a loooong respected lineage, it means you made it.
I love how he shows his respect and loyalty to the WWE. Humble appearance
They really don’t make them like John Cena anymore. That goes both ways. The good & the bad, but mostly the good. If not THE GOAT, certainly one of the best to ever do it.
Man, seeing HD footage from a regular podcast in 2006 is really awesome!
Sold to much shirts which prevented him from becoming heel. Would’ve been great
Cena wanted to become heel either in 2006 or 2007 but Vince said no.
Cena did admit they had plans to turn Cena heel for WM 28 Cena vs Rock 1 even got new gear and new theme song made, but that went out the window
Cena explained in an interview that he would love nothing more than to turn heel. He already has a new theme song and new gears in case it ever happens. But he also explained why he wouldn't do it just for the kick of it. He explained that he considers he can only turn heel if there is someone out there that can take the load and become the new hero for all the kids watching. So far, there hasn't been anyone that could become the new hero. Either because of their personality, their character, their workmanship or just because of the way WWE built the other guys or how they couldn't get the fans to invest in other guys. The only one that ever made it close enough was Daniel Bryan but then he got injured and had to retire for awhile. And when he returned, the momentum never got back to the same level as before. As for the selling too much merchandise argument, remember how Hogan turning heel became one of the biggest thing ever and how much merchandise the NWO sold? Pretty sure Cena could make it happen.
Ricky Lyon They’ve been trying to turn Roman into that guy for a while now. Their latest scheme to make Roman the guy is to turn him into a badass heel and eventually turning him face again. I hope it works out for the guy tbh. So that Cena can be the villain we want him to be
Vince McMahon basically owns him, shit crazy
Vince is getting that fast and frustrated 9 money.
and he took Jesse's money too.
I bet John Cena feels different about his movies and his money today
Such a genuine nice guy.
Why are they filming that empty couch all the time?
This is the lamest fucking joke. Jesus.
it took me a second but nice one, sir!
4:17 that is not John Cena's Dad
Im not a huge fan of wrestling but I loved The Marine, and the Terminator reference in it was gold. Wish Cena wouldve continued that franchise.
No cardio. Man you'd think you need some wrestling. That's all cardio and endurance.
KC Michelson johns matches aren’t super fast pace start to finish. There’ll be a lot of time between spots to catch your breath and if he’s wrestling 4/5 nights a week for 10-25 minutes that’ll probably be his cardio
Gets his cardio in the ring.
Exactly not sure why he said no cardio
They r always on high calorie with that much muscle mass n cena has well developed Abdominal muscle since freva so he definitely does cardio undoubtedly coz being a wwe superstar u cant run out of breath
is it just me or is howard having a interview with a talking couch cuz i dont see anyone?
That’s. Deep. Don’t understand though 🙈
What??? Lol
🤣
You won.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is How I Know John will NEVER go anywhere Else to "Wrestle"
Lmao so if he ever went to AEW he would be called Jonathan Invisible
Wow the boston accent really kicked in this interview
I think with these guys that are successful in the WWE, you can tell the good ones, they put in the extra work, but then they also get into other things like movies or whatever.. I think a big thing with wrestling is selling it, but with a loud crowd you cannot exactly do it with speech, so it becomes more facial expressions.. the good ones that can sell that, are the ones that usually go into the movies.
John Cena is also one that does it with a speech. There are segments in wrestling called promos which is basically when they let performers talk smack to each other to hype up their matches and John is one of the best at it.
Also, a thing I think he gets that others don't is that WWE is about putting on a show, like a sitcom, not about doing fancy stuff in the ring. That's probably why he had the longevity he did as a performer on top because he made people want to watch him during every segment of the show.
If everyone thinks he’s honest & sincere during this interview, you’ll love him even more if you listen to the entire interview when he discusses his sex life. A very down to earth guy👏👏
That's the attitude you need to become John Cena.
yeah dude no wonder vince hired him..... he would be good at any job
I love John Cena. He was the punchline/joke in one of my short films. I love the internets John Cena jokes.
This was in 2006? I'm surprised by the quality and technology they had back then.
I really love John cenas voice it's very clear
2 brothers make 1 cop .
Sounds legit 😂
Such a chill dude
Whats it like to be that muscular and big? lol
Hes very Charismatic, just like The Rock
Great man. Does so much good for the underprivileged.
He still had that gangsta rap voice at this time
EVERYONE in Hollywood should be so grateful
When you walk down the street you don’t hear no man ?
John cena -NO
That’s savage
This is an amazing interview. Good job Howard Stern
Wait why is Howard talking to air. I hear a voice, but I don't see anyone.
How The hell 2006 had this quality cameras
They both need to be on JRE
Hah, he said he never juiced. That’s a good one. 😂😂😂😂
When he mentions Vince own him makes me think that all of us own by somebody. That’s how this world is and that’s how we human are.
Never "Juiced" Right John👌
Careful, your jealousy is showing.
Believe he's honest
He is so well spoken
I wish they’d upload the full interview. Lol Howard got a kick out of John’s personal life.
Vince owns his birth name. And how do pro wrestlers who work for WWE get classified as 'independent contractors' ?
They don't. Wwe wrestlers are employees.
They change their name unless they have already filed trademark like CM Punk
Because they sign a contract that says so...
I know it's laughable he said he's never juiced, but what else is he meant to say? There goes any sponsorship deals etc he might get.
How do we know he juiced ?
exactly
Yeah coming from a powerlifter. It is impossible to get that big naturally.
Jules Sompayrac sure but not as lean dude
A floating headset thats pretty dope especially when it was moving
Where is John? Can't see him.
Why isn’t he interviewing anyone?
"Thats my Government name" JOHN CENA. and everyone else in the world has one of those too, and the IRS and CRA gets a cut. Strange but true.
John Cena is his real name, how can Vince McMahon own it?
The lady "why do you hold that around?"
Howard please put more wrestling videos there really good
I use to watch your show since I was 10 years old with my uncle now I’m 29 lol
What a professional
John Cena is just the man mad respect for the guy
His accent has changed so much since this video
Are you a millionare now ????
We are doing alright.... man such a humble
Personality ❤️
I knew he was real when I saw the Air Force 1s
Never not letting nobody own my name 😂
Hes okay with vince owning his name because vince always writes for him to win
didn’t really like cena until this interview. dudes pretty poise and cool.
I wonder if Cena still thinks the same way now about Vince and the WWE.
He talks differently in newer interviews. He comes across as a bit condescending in what I’ve seen from him more recently.
Humble
John cena is humble and I am impressed. This guy doesn't have much to be humble about, absolutely amazing.
You KNOW the WWE had someone sitting off camera listening to make sure Cena doesn't say anything bad about the company.
Wish you guys would start sharing stuff with Artie, you do it with Jackie..
that junkies so sensitive they're scared to even mention his name....
Watching for the John Cena memes. It’s too late for that tho.
This was 2006? This looks like it was 2018
Vince McMahon is a genius. Owns his name lol. Anything this guy does Vince gets a cut.....crazy.
John so humble😭
So humble
He wasn’t here for Robyns back handed comments
Really really down to earth
4:51 I was thinking. Well duh, but I forgot this was 2006 and wwe wrestlers weren’t getting money like that
Humble man.
wow how thats HD in 2006 ?
John Cena looks a lot less sure of himself in this interview than when you see him now.
What a Cool ass dude.
I know Stern interviewed a lot of nobodies in his career, but he's literally talking to nobody here o.o
Marines are pretty opinionated on who can wear our shirts. This guy has done a lot of good in the world. He gets a pass.
I was never sold on John Cena. When he took the torch, the WWE started their PG, family friendly run, with him at the center, and it's still going on today. I think a lot of fan's blame the John Cena push for the death of the attitude era and thats why they hate him. I'd give anything to see a bikini match on Monday Night Raw.
do you even realise what the attiude era hero almost did in 2007 LMAO
If you were wondering. John Cena is the guy my 5 year old self thought Hulk Hogan was.
This was recorded on the day I was born WTF 🤯
Why is he wearing a USMC shirt? He portrayed a Marine in that movie, hes not actually a Marine.
wow he never juiced , impressive
