The snow globes lyrics are most likely about a gay person who can't accept their own sexuality due to their religion. "Your friend the one that you loved, did you keep him on your side? that's a great interpretation however i think that the lyrics are very intentionally enigmatic so there could definitely be multiple correct ideas of what the song is about
