@Shelvington_Railway Thank you for stopping through Andy! Yeah, it's the loco I really wanted to begin to get the theme aligned. Sub reciprocated so I can get a look at your channel 👍🏻👍🏻
I've been after a Strathclyde spt class 101 for ages, lima had one, even second hand a hundred pounds. This train was the airdrie to Queen st commute i think last ran about 10 years ago, was a great livery bright and cheerful.
@@shedhead00 They aren't cheap from Hornby for sure, but on this occasion I just had to have it because my whole layout is sort of geared toward a fictional railway line between Ayrshire and Glasgow, and I remember these beauties running on the real lines. Hey... thanks for your comments. Much appreciated, and I hope you enjoy the content 🙂👍🏻
There are a couple of nice additions to your layout there. I wonder if you could carry Dylington Custard in that Coca-Cola tanker, I know it's the wrong colour, but maybe the tanker has been disguised for security purposes 😁👍
Haha... I guess it's not even possible to bulk move Coca Cola (in fact I know for sure it isn't possible 🤫), so why not put something else in it? 😀 I reckon the Class 101 brings my layout to life in its true era 🙂
@TheScottishModelRailwayGuy we've got some yellow tankers we're going to label up as Dylington Custard tankers. Yes, the class 101 looks great and is right at home on your layout 😁👍
@@gibbosj08 The Strathclyde Transport Livery was huge in this area (Ayrshire and Glasgow) in the 90's and early 2000's, and very striking. It brings back memories! They were a cool train to be on 🙂. What style is yoursm
@@TimothyWorel-f8j I'd say that if it fits well with your model railway layout era, it's worth it for sure. I was after this class 101 Stratchclyde Transport fella for a wee while, and it makes the layout just feel "right". 🙂 Hey... thank you for stopping through! 🙂👍🏻
Just stumbled across your channel. Lovely looking 101. I have been looking for one for a while. Liked and Subbed. Cheers, Andy
