@@nickmaunder Hey!... thanks for watching 🙂👍🏻. I agree that it's a great wee tool, and surprisingly cheap. I've seen really expensive ones around, but the one in Episode one is genuinely great. I hope whatever you're working on is coming together 🙂

I like them! I have a little bit of trepidation over getting them on the Layout though 🙈

Can you include the specific names of the components you talk about in the written description of the video or put them in text on the screen? I watched each video to figure out what the parts are called and I'm still not sure.

      Hi,
I won't be able to to alter the video now without a full revamp, but I can list the compnents if that helps 🙂👍🏻:
      1. Bootlace Ferrules (a set will cost under £10)
      2. Bootlace Crimping Plier (I actually just checked Amazon and you can get the bootlaces and crimping tool for £18 together)
      3. Voktage regulator (Adjustable DC to DC voltage regulator ranging from 18v to 1v - about £5)
      4. Connector / Bus Bar (google "power distribution board for model railway and you'll see it).
      I hope this helps 🙂😃

Could you use the switch to control a a 2 way led signal light instead of lights? Sorry trying to learn about model railway electronics

@@jonnid67 Hi, so that would be different to an "on / off" switch. The on-off will only literally switch the circuit on or off. I reckon you'll need a "selector switch". I believe these are called "single pole, double throw" switches, so... if you wanted to switch from a green LED to a Red LED, it would select that.
This gives me an idea that it might help if I put wee diagrams into the videos in future to help as many folks as I can!
Thanks for taking the time to reach out 🙂👍🏻

@@TheScottishModelRailwayGuy Thank you for your reply and yes a wee diagram would be helpful, especially for me...

@jonnid67 Okay... so, this had made me think that I need to learn how to make a signal switch, so let me have a wee think and I'll see what I can put together in a video in the near future; perhaps a wee series that builds up as it goes like the lighting ones.
Thank you for suggesting this! I'm always looking for new ideas and reasons! Amazon... here I come again... 😆
